Overview
Large-scale Far Cry Primal world map with locations of all collectable items, caves and hunter caches. I also included some basic info and useful tips regarding collectibles.
“Why do we need yet another guide with a map?..”
– This guide has a combination of unique and valuable features:
- It’s in English.
- It provides TRULY large scale map (1758×2568 pixels).
- It shows ALL hunter caches’ wall paintings‘ locations (I also added links to a picture and a video to help you find all the caches).
- It has detailed legend/list of all collectibles, explanations and useful tips.

Note: source map was taken from here[pix.playground.ru]. I cropped it, enhanced colors and added to the image all hunter caches’ locations and legend.

List of collectibles (with useful info and tips):
– Lost Caves – 22.
1 Cave Painting and 1 Daysha Hand
are hidden in each cave (not shown on the map).
You must find both items to change the status of the cave to “explored” and get XP reward.
* To be unlocked, cave painting must be lit.
– Daysha Hand – 100 (including 22 in caves).
* Daysha hands glow in the dark.
– Wenja Bracelet – 25.
* When you approach a bracelet you start hearing a chant that gets louder the closer you get.
– Izila Mask – 25.
* You must destroy masks instead of picking them up. Sometimes the mask is so high on the cliff, so that the long bow is the only weapon capable to shoot it down. Masks sparkle under the sun, which can really help to spot them.
– Wenja Spirit Totem – 12.
* You can actually see only 11 totems on the map. You place the 12th totem during the 2nd village quest (which is called accordingly: “The Spirit Totem”).
– Hunter Cache – 15.
* Hunter caches are not really collectibles, you don’t have to search for them – finding these caches does not contribute to your progress and they are not counted for 100% completion of the game. It’s just another activity and a way to get some random rare skins and resources (with some amount of XP).
Purple icons on my map mark locations of wall paintings, each painting is a primitive picture of the place where the cache is hidden (you can see its exact location on the picture in hunter vision – it’s a glowing red hand print). Unlike any other type of collectible, when you reveal the map with a new wall painting, its icon won’t appear on your map/minimap. Only when you get really close to the painting, the game will play a distinct sound and display a notification, and new icon will appear on the map. The icon will disappear after you find and loot* the corresponding cache (in hunter vision it looks like a big pile of glowing red leaves on the ground). Caches of undiscovered wall paintings are inactive, even if you stumbled on cache like this by accident, it doesn’t glow in hunter vision and you can’t loot it, first you have to unlock its corresponding wall painting.
* If you can’t loot the cache because your pack already has maximal quantities of both items hidden in the cache, reload the game and check this cache again. Repeat this until you have a place for at least one of the items which have spawned inside the cache.
Here is the picture and that will help you find all the caches (BTW, you don’t have to ride an animal to get to the last cache in the video – go to the right up the hill and jump down).
Note: The color of all collectibles’ icons in the game is blue (like the Daysha hand), here the colors of other icons were changed to make them more visually distinct.
Small tip: In survival mode you can have a situation when you still have a Daysha hand and/or cave painting left to collect, but you can’t find it on the map. – Most probably it’s in some cave at the very edge of the map. Here are some examples:
