Overview

A little wiki about “Master levels for Doom II”.Each level has a solution in video, and some pictures show you the places of keys and secrets. May be in the future, there will be a complete playthrough in text.Actually, I didn’t do all levels. Some levels are difficult and take time to do.

Attack

Attack is a level designed by Tim Willits.

Playthrough

This level is not very complicated. There isn’t a lot of monsters and you can find easily a plasma gun to exit this level. To help you, you can find items (an armor, a megaarmor) and weapons (Super shotgun, Plasma gun, Chaingun, Rocket Launcher).

In this level, you need to find the three keys.

Secret

There is only one secret in this level. At the bottom left of the map, there is a room with a teleporter and some horizontal lights. Just go through out the lights to open a new room with imps and a chaingun.

Black Tower

Playthrough

It’s a diffiult level. There are a lot of monsters at the beginning of the map. The puzzle of this map is not simple also. You need to know what you are doing to optimize your way. To help you, you can find items (an armor, a megaarmor) and weapons (Super shotgun, Plasma gun, Chaingun, Rocket Launcher).

Canyon is a level designed by Tim Willits.

Playthrough

This level is not very complicated. There isn’t a lot of monsters. Just take care of your ammos. To help you, you can find items (an armor, a megaarmor, a supercharge, a megasphere, a backpack and a radiation shielding suit) and weapons (Super shotgun, Plasma gun, Chaingun, Rocket Launcher).

In this level, you need to find the three keys.

Secrets

There are four secrets in this level.
#1 : After you take the red key, you can go in the room in front of you kept by baron of hell and imps. At the north of this room, there is a secret room on your left containing a backpack.

#2 : When you are in front of the big nukage fountain, take the first lift in the third line. You arrive in a room with a secret room in front of you containing a megasphere.

#3 : In the room with the little nukage fountain, there is a secret room behind the room kept by imps.

#4 : In the corridor before the end, there is a secret door on your left containing a super shotgun.

Catwalk

Catwalk is a level designed by Christen Klie.

Playthrough

This level is easy. There is a lot of ammos and there aren’t a lot of monsters. To help you, you can find items (an armor, 2 megaspheres, a supercharge and a backpack, ) and weapons (Shotgun, Super Shotgun, Chaingun, Plasma gun, Rocket Launcher and BFG 9000).

In this level, you need to find the yellow and red keys.

Secrets

There are two secrets in this level.

#1 : Before to activate the end switch, fire on the wall on your right. There is a big room with ammos, a supercharge and a backpack.

#2 : Before to activate the end switch, fire on the wall on your left. There is a big room with ammos, a BFG 9000, 4 rocket launchers and a BFG 9000.

Combine

Combine is a level designed by Christen Klie.

Playthrough

This level is not very complicated. The first room is difficult with a pistol start but the next rooms are easily. There aren’t lots of monsters. To help you, you can find items (an armor, a megaarmor, a supercharge, a radiation shielding suit and an invisibility) and weapons (Super shotgun, Plasma gun, Chaingun).

In this level, you need to find the three keys.

Secret

There is only one secret in this level. It’s the first room of the map, so it’s unmissable.

Fistula

This level is not very complicated. Just take care of your ammos. To help you, you can find items (an armor, a megaarmor, a megasphere and a backpack) and weapons (Shotgun, Chaingun, Rocket Launcher).

Secret

There is only one secret in this level.
To open the secret door, you need to have the red key. In the long corridor before the room with blue key, there is a wall with a different texture. It’s a secret door kept by 3 shotgun guys and 1 zombieman. You get a megasphere.

Garrison

Garrison is a level designed by Christen Klie.

Playthrough

The beginning of this map is difficult. You need to know where the ammos are. To help you, you can find items (a megaarmor, 2 megaspheres, a backpack and a radiation shielding suit) and weapons (Super shotgun, Plasma gun, Chaingun, Rocket Launcher, Chainsaw and BFG 9000).

In this level, you need to find the three keys.

Secrets

There are five secrets in this level.
#1 : Take the teleporter in the first room. There is a secet wall in front of the berserk.

#2 & #3 : In the big room with the red key, there is a switch above a nukage pool. Activate it and take the teleporter. After return near to the nukage pool and take the stairs. At the end of the stairs, there is a secret door on your right. Open it to get the secret #2. The switch revealed a teleporter, take it to get the secret #3 and a backpack.

#4 : Return to secret #1. You can take the megasphere now due to the activation of the switch in secets #2 and #3.

#5 : In the room with the yellow key, there is a secret room with a BFG 9000 and a megasphere.

Geryon

Geryon is a level designed by John Anderson.

Playthrough

This level is not very complicated but you need to find some secrets rooms in the first rooms of this map to find weapons like BFG 9000. To help you, you can find items (an armor, a megaarmor, a backpack, a supercharge, 2 megasphere and an invisibility) and weapons (Chainsaw, Shotgun, Super shotgun, Plasma gun, Chaingun, Rocket Launcher, BFG 9000).

In this level, you need to find the blue key to exit this level.

Secrets

There are 2 secrets in this level.
#1 : It was located in the room after the room with the supercharge. When you enter in the room, there is a lighted wall on your left. There is a secret room next this wall with a computer area.

Mephisto’s Maosoleum

Mephisto’s Maosoleum is a level designed by Sverre Andre Kvernmo.

Playthrough

It’s a very diffiult level with a pistol start. There are a lot of Revenants in this level. To help you, you can find items () and weapons ().

Minos’ Judgement

Minos’ Judgement is a level designed by John Anderson.

Playthrough

Minos’ Judgement is not a difficult map if you know where you need to go first. The only difficulty in this level is to keep an eye on your ammos.
To help you, you can find items (2 armors, a megaarmor, a megasphere, a supercharge, a computer area and 5 radiation shielding suits) and weapons (shotgun, super shotgun, chaingun, rocket launcher, plasma gun, BFG 9000 and chainsaw).

In this level, you need to find the three keys.

Secrets

There are five secrets in this level.

#1 : In the room where you find the super shotgun, the room which opens when you took it counts as a secret.

#2 : In front of the door that reveals a room with two teleporters, there is a secret door.

#3 : In the room with the supercharge, take the lift where the supercharge is. Try to jump on the platform in front of you. There is a secret wall with a BFG 9000 behind it. But another room opens with a Baron of Hell in the room with the supercharge.

#4 : In the room where you find the plasma gun, there is a switch. Activate it and exit the room. There is a corridor on your left.

#5 : In the room with the blue key, jump in the nukage pool and go in the corridor on your left. There is a secret door on the left wall.

Nessus

Nessus is a level designed by John Anderson.

Playthrough

This level is a little bit difficult. You need to clean the center room at the beginning. You will find all weapons (except BFG 9000) and some interesting items. To help you, you can find items (an armor, 2 megaarmors, a megasphere, an invisibility, a computer area) and weapons (Chainsaw, Shotgun, Super shotgun, Plasma gun, Chaingun, Rocket Launcher, BFG 9000).

In this level, there aren’t keys.

Secret

– You can’t get 100% secrets for this map.
There is one secret in this map but you can’t get it without using cheats. In fact, you need to be in the platform with the BFG 9000 to get the secret but it’s impossible to jump in.

Paradox

Paradox is a level designed by Tom Mustaine.

Playthrough

The beginning is a little bit difficult. You need to take care of your ammos. To help you, you can find items (a supercharge, an invisibility, a megasphere and a backpack) and weapons (Shotgun, Super shotgun, Chaingun, Rocket Launcher, Plasma gun and BFG 9000).

In this level, you need to find the three keys.

Secrets

There are seven secrets in this level.

#1 : At the beginning of the level, go on your right, the third pillar is a lift containing a supercharge.

#2 : In the room with the yellow key, there is green torch, it’s a switch. Activate it and two other switches appear. Activate them to open a door. You can go on the courtyard now. You will find a BFG 9000.

#3 : In the building with the three teleports, when you are in the stairs in front of the teleports, there is a secret door on your right.

#4 : In secret #3, just go in the platform in front of you. A lift appears in front of you and you can go on the remparts.

#5, #6 and #7 : In the region where there is an invisibility, there is an invisible wall. In the room, there is a megasphere but watch out, it is kept by an Arch Vile. This room counts for 3 secrets.

Subspace

Subspace is a level designed by Christen Klie.

Playthrough

This level is not very complicated. There isn’t a lot of monsters. The beginning is just hard. Just take the red keys and go on the room in front of you. Don’t try to kill the Lost souls in the first room because you won’t have enough ammos. To help you, you can find items (an armor, 2 megaarmors, a supercharge, a megasphere and a backpack) and weapons (Super shotgun, Chaingun, Rocket Launcher). The rocket launcher is useless because you will find it in the exit teleporter.

In this level, you need to find the three keys.

Secrets

There are two secrets in this level.
#1 and #2 : In the room with the cacodemon, there is a stair. There are two secret rooms (one on the left and one on the right) containing a megaarmor, a supercharge, a backpack and a megasphere.

Subterra

Subterra is a level designed by Christen Klie.

Playthrough

This level is not very complicated if you know what you are doing. To help you, you can find items (an megaarmor, an invulnerability and 2 supercharges) and weapons (Shotgun, Plasma gun, Chaingun, Rocket Launcher, BFG 9000).

In this level, you need to find the three keys to exit this level.

Secret

There is only one secret in this level.
The secret consists to take the supercharge in the room opened with blue key. To get it, you need to take the teleporter but by behind (G on the map).

The Express Elevator To Hell

The express elevator of hell is a level designed by Sverre Andre Kvernmo. It contains a secret exit to the map : “Bad Dream”.

It’s a diffiult level. There are a lot of monsters in small rooms. The puzzle of this map is not simple also. You need to know what you are doing to optimize your way. To help you, you can find items () and weapons ().

In this level, you need to find the three keys to exit this level by the secret exit. You don’t need keys to exit this level by the current exit.

Bad Dream

Bad Dream is a level designed by Sverre Andre Kvernmo. It’s a secret level. The secret exit is found in the level : The express elevator of hell.

Playthrough

This level is not complicated in appearance but it’s a pain. There is a Spider Mastermind and lots of Cyberdemon in this map. The objective is to take the three keys at the center of the room. To help you, you can find items (a megasphere and an invulnerability) and weapons (chainsaw, BFG 9000, Rocket launcher and Shotgun).

In this level, you need to find the three keys.

Secret

There is only one secret in this level.
In the first room, there is a dark brown wall. Open it and kill the Revenant. You can get a megasphere. The switch lights the room with Cyberdemons.

Titan manor

Titan Manor is a level designed by Jim Flynn.

Playthrough

It’s a diffiult level. There are a lot of monsters at the beginning of the map (Arachnotron, Revenant, Mancubus and Cacodemons). The puzzle of this map is not simple also. You need to know what you are doing to optimize your way. To help you, you can find items (2 armors, 2 megaarmors, 2 backpacks, a supercharge and a megasphere) and weapons (Shotgun, Chaingun, Super Shotgun, Chainsaw, BFG 9000, Rocket Launcher and Plasma gun).

In this level, you need to find the three keys.

Secrets

There are seven secrets in this level.

#1 : In the first room of the building, there is a pillar. This pillar is a lift, you can activate it with a switch. Go on the pillar and try to jump on the platform where the rocket launcher is.

#2 : When you are on the “bridge” to go in the room with the yellow key, you can see a platform on your left with some ammos (box of rockets and cell packs). The only way to go on this platform is to run on it.

#3 : In the room with the yellow key, there is a secret megaarmor. When you activate the lift in this room, there is a secret on the right with a shotgun guy and a megaarmor. Activate the switch inside to activate the lift and exit this room.

#4 : In the room with the second megaarmor, there is a metallic pillar. In fact, it’s a lift, just activate it to go on a platform with a switch and a plasma gun. The switch opens another room with box of rockets.

#5 : In the same room that the secret #4, there is a little door on the wall on your left. To open this little door, just wait on the wooden door. The little door activate a bookshelf with a chainsaw.

#6 : At the starting point, there is a switch. Activate it to put a platform to go at another switch. Activate it to reveal a lift in the pillar in front of you. activate the switch at the top of the pillar and take the teleporter. Run through out the wooden wall to jump in the platform with the BFG 9000.

#7 : After you take the teleporter in the room with the exit door, there is a secret door on the right. There is a switch, activate it. The wall in the previous room disappears to reveal a computer area.

Trapped on Titan

Trapped on Titan is a level designed by Jim Flynn.

Playthrough

This level is difficult. There is a lot of monsters like Revenant, Mancubus, Arachnotron, Baron of Hell, Pain Elemental and Cacodemon. You need to know exactly where are the bonuses to hope finish this level. To help you, you can find items (4 megaspheres, 2 supercharges, 3 megaarmors, 3 armors, 2 backpacks, 2 invisibilities and a computer area) and weapons (Shotgun, Plasma gun, Chaingun, Rocket Launcher and Chainsaw).

In this level, you need to find the three keys.

Secrets

There are two secrets in this level.
#1 : In the part of the map with four buildings, there is a secret in the building with the supercharge. When you take the supercharge, you can go on a room with lost souls and imp. A lift is activating when you walk on. When the lift is in upper position, there is a secret door on your right. You can take the cell pack outside.

#2 : The blue key is necessary to access this secret. Activate the switch behind the blue door. Then go on the platform behind the pillar. A little step appears when you walk on it. This step permits you to go on the central platform. Take the bridge and you can go to the megasphere.

Vesperas

Vesperas is a level designed by John Anderson.

Playthrough

This map is a little bit difficult at the beginning. You need to know exactmy where you can find ammos.
To help you, you can find items (2 supercharges, a megasphere, 2 invisibilities, an invulnerability, an armor, a backpack and a computer area) and weapons (Shotgun, Super shotgun, Chainsaw, Chaingun, Plasma gun, BFG 9000, Rocket launcher).

Secrets

There are two secrets in this level.

#1 : In the room with the yellow key. Jump in the nukage pool and you can go through out the first nukagefalls. There is a teleporter.

#2 : In the room with the yellow key, there is an invisible bridge to go on the left platform. Take the yellow key.

After you take the yellow key, take the corridor and open the yellow door. Just before the next room, there is a secret door on your right containing a switch. Activate it to reveal a little corridor with a megasphere and a switch kept by an imp.
