Food – Basic Knowledge

Under the “Food (Demand)” in the Management tab.
Food” is a combined of Nutrition of food in your Food Storage chest.

===========================================================================
Formula:
In the Food Storage chest, the Type of Food multiplied by Food Nutrition Value = the total of Food in the Management tab.

For example:
If you had only Roasted Meat (10) in FS x 6 Nutrition = 60 Food.
If you had only Potage (50) in FS x 30 Nutrition = 1500 Food.
If you had both Roasted Meat (10) and Potage (30) = 1560 Food.
Similarly, if you had other food in your Food Storage chest.
Excluding Food that has poisoning and alcohol (Wine, Beer, Mead) and stored in houses chest.

Note:
– 1 Bucket of Milk still counted as 6 under the Management tab, regardless of 1/10 or 10/10.
– Any food freshness below 30% or 37% (in red text or degraded food) as a percentage of poisoned still counted for food in the Management from the Food Storage chest.
The inhabitant will consume them. It may not poison the inhabitant, but if you consume them it will poison you.

===========================================================================
Hint:
– In about 15-40 minutes (in-game time) villagers will consume 1 of the available type of food depending on their nutrition value.

– 45 Food Nutrition can last about 2 seasons for 1 NPC inhabitant.

– Store food in a Food Storage chest to have a much less chance of food goes degraded.

– Inhabitant will not consume any food that has poisoning and alcohol.

– Poisoning and alcohol food will not be counted in the Management tab.

– Inhabitant consume order from Highest Nutrition (condition: lowest -> highest)->Lowest Nutrition (condition: lowest -> highest).

Developer Note v0.1.2.4:
[link]
* Villagers eat food according to nutritional value. The greater the nutritional value, the higher priority. In case the nutritional value is the same, the food of lower condition is chosen.

For example:
Apple +3 (62%) – Consume order = 10
Berry +0.5 (12%) – Consume order = 12
Bolete Mushroom +1 (25%) – Consume order = 11
Bucket of Milk 10/10 +6 (100%) – Consume order = 4 | until become Bucket (100%) in FS.
Bucket of Milk 3/10 +6 (12%) – Consume order = 3 | until become Bucket (100%) in FS.
Cabbage +7 (62%) – Consume order = 2
Cabbage +7 (12%) – Consume order = 1
Carrot +5 (25%) – Consume order = 8
Carrot +5 (62%) – Consume order = 9
Roasted Meat +6 (25%) – Consume order = 6
Roasted Meat +6 (100%) – Consume order = 7
Roasted Meat +6 (12%) – Consume order = 5

– Any food you store in the inhabitant house chest will not be counted in the Management tab.
It is only specific to each house chest.

– Inhabitants will consume food in their Houses chest first then in the Food Storage chest.
Each House chest takes priority over the Food Storage chest.

Hint:
If you do not need to make Rot from food. It is best to distribute the less freshness or condition of food into the NPC’s houses chest.
So they can help eat them first rather than eating from the Food Storage chest. As long as it does not contain poisoning and alcohol.

– Food inside the Food Storage chest is shared with all NPC workers.
The highest the nutrition value the better to share and the longer they will complain about the food.
For example Fruit Pie.

* Where the tableware return to?

– Tableware such as plates and bowls will be returned into Resource Storage chest, if full into Food Storage chest, if full into their individual NPC worker house chest.
– Tableware -> RS, if full -> FS, if full -> Individual NPC’s Houses chest.

IMPORTANT:
Only from the Tavern chest and/or Resource Storage chest, Innkeeper will only take tableware from for cooking certain food.

– You can eat food by selecting the food then by pressing “F” or “ENTER” on the keyboard.

===========================================================================
IMPORTANT:
Patch v0.6.0.0

===========================================================================

===========================================================================

Food Nutrition Value

See the “Food – Basic Knowledge” section there is an explanation on how to better use this info.
Food Nutrition can be found in each type of food description.
I do not list it here from the in-game each type of food description, since it was to many.

* Food now spoils directly into Rot, and not the rotten item.

* Food below 30% (12% and 25%) when drop to the ground will turn to Rot and will return tableware.

* How do I get Manure?

– Build Pigsty then buy Hog (Male), Pig (Female), and Piglet (Male & Female).
