MGSV:TPP | Buddies for METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN

MGSV:TPP | Buddies

Overview

Struggling with the solo infiltrations? Maybe it’s the time to take a companion with you. In this guide I will show you what are MGSV’s buddies and what they can do. (Spoilers included)

Introduction

What is the buddy system?

The buddy system is a major component in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain which is composed of multiple companions (4 in total). These companions can be deployed on missions, alongside Snake, to improve the success of a selected goal. Every buddy has its own unique equipment that can be customized to match the setting of your purpose (ex. taking Quiet’s Sinful Butterfly over her Wicked Butterfly in the mission 29 Metallica Archaea)

When can I unlock a buddy?

You can unlock your first buddy from the start of the game in “Episode 1: Phantom Limbs” and you will slowly gain other allies based on your choices.

Who are the buddies?

The buddies are: D-Horse, D-Dog, Quiet, D-Walker

What makes the buddies shine from one another?

I’m going to present you every buddy that the game has to offer with some lore and gameplay details that can help you capture the interest in them. After that, you can choose which buddy has impressed you the most to continue expanding your Outer Heaven further!

1.0 D-Horse | The Heroic Charger

D-Horse, as I mentioned above, was the first buddy that Venom Snake got. He was first seen being ridden by Ocelot during the Hospital Raid. In which, afterwards, the horse has been passed to Snake, meanwhile they went through the sandstorm in Afghanistan.

D-Horse was used as a transport to cross large chunks of the map with ease, because of it’s remarkable speed, but still, underwhelming compared to the accessibility of D-Walker. What makes D-Horse special is the player alike controls and the fact, you can use weapons while riding.

One of the main features you can use on D-Horse is to hide while holding onto your horse’s flank, in which case can help you to get past through enemies as long as you don’t stay close to them.
Hitting 50% bond with D-Horse will allow you the option to defecate that can make the light cars (ZaAZ-S84/4W and APE T-41LV) to slip. Once you reach 100% bond with D-Horse, you can customize both it’s color, the head and leg parts.

1.1 D-Horse | Equipment

D-Horse has a low amount of equipment and only one impacts the horse. These options are:

Normal
Battle Dress (Grade 2, 3, 4)
Furicorn

You can also gain an additional 2 pieces of equipment, which are: Western Tack and Parade Tack.

• Normal (Unlocked by default):

• Battle Dress (Grade 2, 3, 4) (Defense Up, increases horse’s health):

• Furicorn (Unlocked by beating Important Side Op: 144):

• Western Tack and Parade Tack (Unlocked via DLC):

1.2 D-Horse | Gameplay

D-Horse’s whistle command is one of his forte points, he could get you out of danger with just a FWEET. Don’t be scared if he appears out of nowhere.
Jokes aside, if you enjoy going on a spree in capturing outposts, he is a great buddy in doing so!

The fact that you can hide via side riding, makes him a really useful asset in missions like “Episode 30: Skull Face” and “Episode 10: Angel with Broken Wings”.

Pressing the default button for crouching “C” will enable this option and to change it’s stance can be done so by using the button “V”.

In addition, the quickness of getting out & on D-Horse and using firearms makes invaluable in “Episode 9: Backup, Back down” and “Episode 41: Proxy War Without End”

Details:

Yeah.

Does he eat?

No.

Does he drink?

No.

Will he take a shower with you if you’re dirty?

I hope not.

Instead…

He is one of the only buddies that can get stunned and let you know when they regained health & stamina back.

Soviet & PF soldiers don’t like him when he’s wandering lonely – they will “cho” him away, but if the owner is riding him, they will shoot him.

He doesn’t like getting wet, representing a true friend.

Pequod calls him an “obstruction” and he should always get away from LZ. (What a mean person!)

Jumping from cliffs is his favorite blood sport.

D-Horse will not look for payback after you shoot him or do something stupid.

If you would put D-Horse against a wrestler, he would instantly win. The cause being, he’s an absolute charger and unit.

In conclusion, D-Dog is the wings of the man.

He may not have the brightest actions or details, but he is a hero that we’re all happy we have!

(Come on, D-Horse. Fist bump me!)

2.0 D-Dog | The Wild Puppy

D-Dog, one of man’s best friend, was found in Afghanistan, wandering idly, by Venom Snake. He was fultoned by him, to be later trained by Ocelot and become the portrait of Diamond Dogs. His behavior at the beginning of the training was careless and only listened to its owner, Venom Snake. After some time, D-Dog finally obeyed it’s instructor, Revolver Ocelot, which made him silent and a fearful ally, but still, the pup remained with the same spark that he had.

D-Dog really loved Snake demonstrated by the fact, that when he was still a puppy he always waited to welcome Snake. D-Dog is also the only buddy to show a reaction to Snake when he dies. Everyone at the Mother Base appreciated D-Dog (excluding Huey), which shows that the staff had a positive opinion on D-Dog.

One of D-Dog’s main abilities is to consistently scout enemy soldiers and keep the player updated with a bark. This ability can be further improved by increasing the bond between Snake and D-Dog, which will allow him to scout areas over 100m (120m is the maximum you can get once you reach 100% bond with D-Dog).

Need to attract a large group of enemies to a location? Use D-Dog’s Bark ability to draw enemies attention to D-Dog current location (Ability unlocked at 25% Bond with D-Dog)

2.1 D-Dog | Equipment

D-Dog’s equipment consists of more combative gear than D-Horse. Every outfit will change D-Dog’s attack command “Keep ’em Busy” with its corresponding rig.

• Naked (Unlocked by default; “Keep ‘Em Busy” command)

• Sneaking (Knife) (DD will sneak on the enemy and kill him; “Do it (kill enemy)” command)

• Sneaking (Stun) (DD will sneak on the enemy and stun him; “Do it (knock out enemy)” command)

Battle Dress (DD will wound an enemy, Defense up; will withstand more trauma)

• Tactical (Fulton) (DD will fulton the nearest enemy or prisoner; unlocked by getting Key Item: First Aid Manual)

2.2 D-Dog | Gameplay

Don’t want to use Noctocyanin because it’s too expensive to develop and deploy?
D-Dog got you covered.
His scouting abilities will help you to make a temporary route to stealthy get to your objective. He can find both prisoners and enemies along the way.

If you neutralized a large number of enemies and you need to get them at Mother Base ASAP, it’s recommended to use DD’s Tactical (Fulton), so you can safely and rapidly secure every one of them.

If you’re heading home, don’t forget D-Dog! You can always spend quality time with him, while doing random activities at the Mother Base.

Details:

“who’s a sweet little dog? who is? aaaaww! 💙 💖💖”- probably you

CAN YOU PET THE DOG?

Yes, you can pet the dog.

CAN I PUT HIM IN CUTE COSTUMES?? OH MMSAY GOD HE’S SO GORGEOUS!!

Yes.

OHHSAD MY HE’S SOOO LOVELY ASDASDASD aaaaaa

Is this a question? Get a dog, stop tormenting me please.

D-Dog is the other buddy that can get stunned, next to D-Horse.

He has a much more developed feedback with the world than him, even interacting with wild animals, making him more alive than an inanimate object.

He can take a piss. Yeah.

He will betray and even kill his wolf friends, in order to protect Snake.

He doesn’t like sandstorms, don’t leave him alone pls.

He has a stroke when someone directs a flashlight towards him.

His outfits are inspired to the ones that Diamond Dogs members wear, obviously.

D-Dog doesn’t have a right eye, just like Venom Snake.

In that eyepatch of his, it’s written: “KONGOU Military Supply Co., Ltd. / High Performance Dog Gear / GREAT HOWL Series”

If you love D-Dog to an extent you’re only thinking about him, you’re most likely a furry in denial.
How do I know this? Maybe you should ask yourself: how couldn’t you be one?

Quiet likes D-Dog and he likes her

His barking is very powerful, that he can attract an entire base to him, use that to your advantage and fool them while you’re looking for your objective.

Enemy soldiers don’t care about DD, until he attacks them. They will, of course, scream for help, protect D-Dog or else… sorrow

He’s always happy, are you too?

In short, DD symbolizes the supporting base of Diamond Dogs and the state of morality.

Without him, they would’ve been left powerless and would crumble, just like a card house.

3.0 Quiet | The Vanguard Sharpshooter (P.1)

Quiet plays a major role in MGSV’s story and she is an important ally. She was tasked on March 11th, 1984 to eliminate Militaires Sans Frontières’ Big Boss, a mission which she ultimately failed. As she tried to strangle Big Boss, a man named Ishmael attacked her. Quiet fought hard but Ishmael was more solid. She came out of that battle with burns and severe trauma. She almost died, but a vocal cord parasite operation handled by Skull Face – saved her, at the expense of her ability to speak.

Now, Quiet awaken with a thirst of revenge is deployed in Afghanistan by XOF’s leader to eliminate any officers against the development of the new Metal Gear Sahelanthropus. During this pursuit, she eventually met the same man that she was tasked to kill in the Hospital Raid – Big Boss. The two forces challenged each other in a dead-silence duel, but eventually, she lost again. She lies down on the ground, waiting for Snake’s decision. He chose to show mercy and to listen to Ocelot’s decision and bring her back to Mother Base. A little warmth came into Quiet’s heart, the one of compassionate, becoming the white of her way of thinking. Afterwards, when Snake was about to leave with her on the chopper, she magically vanished. However, in reality, she hid inside the helicopter using her supernatural powers.

On the way to the Mother Base, Pequod distinguished an aircraft on the way through. He contested the enemy aircraft, but with no luck, it was just a matter of seconds they sank on the Seychelles Waters. Suddenly Quiet made a split-second decision and chose to blow her cover to defuse the situation. With just a single shot, she took down the aircraft, only for then to surrender her weapon and cuff herself. When the chopper landed on the helipad, Quiet was sent to the brig, despite Kazuhira Miller being against it.

While nobody appreciated her at the base, at the last, Quiet was considered a Diamond Dog. Even though she couldn’t speak, she still cooperated with the staff in an informal way and only in her favor. Doing against so, for example: When she was asked to wear clothes, she attacked 2 Diamond Dogs staff members, which made them “breath through a tube” in the end. While Ocelot was trying to find Quiet’s real motives, he thought telling Snake to take her on a mission would do so. This was soon denied by Miller saying that it would be “too dangerous”, but Ocelot insisted, because “she could prove extremely useful in the field” and allowed Snake to take Quiet whenever he wants, hyperbolically.

After some time, a staff member calling for help was spotted by some 2 personnel. The man was running from Quiet. The 2 members, without knowledge of the situation, decided to protect their man, but they ended up beaten by Quiet and slowly, but surely, she approached the man that cried for help. Luckily, Venom Snake was close by and managed to subdue Quiet with some help from Ocelot. They decided that it would be the time to increase security around Quiet’s cell, but the question still remained “Why did she attack the staff member?”. This question would be only be answered later on the story.

In another incident, one of the kids rescued dropped Shabani’s necklace into a vat of chlorine disinfectant, she made a heroic jump to retrieve the necklace. This jump shocked Snake, who by the time, made a strong bond with Quiet, and pushed his way to the tank to save her, but was stopped by Ocelot. Snake thought it was over, what was done, was already done, but miraculously Quiet climbed the tank slowly and got the necklace with her. She suffered skin burns and was carried by Snake to the Medical Station.

After holding the mystery for such a long time, it was finally revealed by an MRI. Quiet was the same assassin that tried to kill Snake in the hospital raid, proven by a petal coming from the Star-of-Bethlehem in her lungs. That wasn’t the end, they also found a strain of the vocal cord parasite. This parasite, replaced her skin and almost all of her internal organs.

Miller, who was already furious of what happened, interrogated her, demanded what language, the vocal cord parasite targets. Quiet decided to live up to her name. Miller retaliated this move by ordering a Mother Base staff member to electrocute and throw salt water to make her talk. Ocelot, by that time, has had enough of this nonsense, he stated that the reason why Quiet was working with Big Boss is because: “she has fallen in love with the legend himself”. Quiet didn’t deny statement and just watched. Venom Snake concluded that she decided not to speak or write in order to save the Mother Base from another outbreak.

After only Quiet and Code Talker remained in the room, the old man decided to approach and speak to her in Navajo, in which, she replied the same and remarked that Skull Face wanted to use her as a ace in the hole in case this attempt failed again. After these words, she swore to never speak English again.

The second outbreak hit.

It was a disastrous catastrophe, but the leader – Venom Snake, managed to successfully eliminate the threat that struck the Quarantine Platform, at the price of many devoted staff members. However, Quiet went M.I.A. and was captured by Soviet soldiers.

She was awaiting trial at Lamar Khaate Palace, Snake came in a hurry to rescue her but if worst might come he’ll have to “pull the trigger”. A worn-out Quiet leaves the prisoner cell, fully clothed, which slowly suffocated her. She tried escaping, but a Soviet soldier caught her. He decided to drown her in the nearest dumpster and, also, sexually assault her. Water, the main component of survival for Quiet, rehabilitated her and now the rage took over.

She brutally massacred every single one of the soldiers near Lamar Khaate Palace. Just moments after the violent battle, Snake came to help her. He cut the rope handcuffs with his knife and the perfect duo was ready for the battle. A massive tank unit came to reclaim their territory. With good coordination and experience, the partners managed to take out almost all of unit. Sadly, they celebrated too early and tank shell hit Quiet, knocking her unconscious and badly wounding Snake.

3.1 Quiet | The Vanguard Sharpshooter (P.2)

Snake wakes up fatigued in the sandstorm, while Quiet was injured, he tries to wake her up, but unsuccessful. Snake carries her, slowly, to the nearest landing zone available. Out of breath, he dropped Quiet near a rock while, also, lying next to her – protecting her from the danger that might come from the sandstorm. While resting, a cobra was approaching to them. The venomous creature was about to attack Quiet, but Snake took the hit and he steadily passed out. Just like her, together.

A rescue call from Pequod requesting for Snake’s location was responded by Quiet, after regaining her strength. She tried answering in Navajo – didn’t work out. The only choice was to break the promise and to respond in English. She guided the helicopter to their location and then left, with just leaving her footprints behind…

“I did not choose to be Quiet. I wanted to express my feelings to you. If only we shared a common tongue. Vengeance was what drove me to them…The only language left to me, revenge. But the words we shared…No, that was no language at all. That’s why I…I chose the language of gratitude instead, and go back to silence. I am Quiet…I am…the absence of words.”

Those were Quiet’s last spoken words before she went in complete silence. This speech was later found in a cassette tape found by Venom Snake.

Quiet’s words denotes many thoughts lived in her soul of her wanting revenge against Venom Snake, but at the same time, expressing the regret of not sharing the unrequited love. Ever since the duel between these two, she always tried answering in kind. Either protecting us, the player, from the XOF jet by killing the pilot, after we gave her a quilt or she could take out a whole base, out of pure anger, only for Venom Snake to cut the rope handcuff and calming her down. She knew that Snake destroyed her fragile life, only to be reborn like a butterfly. She was looking for revenge, but found love along the way. The choice was in her hands and she chose love, but for an expensive price of leaving Snake once and for all, which truly outlines how much she cared about him. Quiet is an overlooked complex character in MGSV that denotes a determined moral warrior and not just sheer eye-candy, she reflects us into looking inside rather than outside.

Great thoughts come from heart.

Quiet’s violent and indulgent characteristics are both found in the gameplay by interacting with her using the “Quiet” command, which will make her react in a unique way depending on the current bond. You can interact with her while in the ACC, she’ll respond, again, based on your current bond.

Quiet’s main focus is being a support buddy, she can “Scout” (outposts, bases etc). In which she will recon & mark enemies, containers and trucks that are outside. “Attack” which will change her current sniper position to the one you desire. These commands are available using the iDroid.
Orders like: “Fire (Kill Enemy)”, “Take Aim”, “Cover Me” and “Shoot this (grenade ricochet)” are pretty self-explanatory:

• “Fire (Kill Enemy)” – makes Quiet shoot the enemy that you are currently viewing.

• “Take Aim” – makes her to take aim on the enemy you are directly seeing and will fire once you shoot or use the Fire (Kill Enemy); this command is useful for neutralizing multiple enemies at once.

• “Cover me” – makes Quiet to cover you and shoot whenever she wants, at whatever target she can currently see.

• “Shoot this (grenade ricochet)” – Unlocked at 75% bond, makes Quiet to shoot the current throwable you’re holding to the nearest enemy, at your current position.

Also, an additional command in the game that cannot be accessed and it’s only available in the mission 45: A Quiet Exit. The command is applied once Snake runs out of ammo. Quiet will come to Snake’s position and will drop a yellow colored supply drop flare, where he can later retrieve those supplies.

3.2 Quiet | Equipment

Quiet‘s equipment consists of uniforms and weaponry. The uniforms give no advantages or disadvantages whatsoever. On the other hand, the weapons help you, depending on the situation.
Some of them can be equipped and unequipped with a suppressor that will never wear out.

The uniforms are:

• Naked (Unlocked by default)

• Naked (Blood) [Bond 30%]

• Naked (Silver Q) [Bond 70%]

• Naked (Gold Q) [Bond 100%]

• Sniper Wolf (Unlocked by beating Mission 40: [EXTREME] Cloaked in Silence, which unlocks the key item handkerchief)

• Gray XOF (Unlocked by watching Quiet’s interrogation cutscene)

Weapons:

• Wicked Butterfly (Quiet’s main weapon, with / without suppressor)

• Guilty Butterfly (Tranquilizer rifle, will put enemy to sleep)
Quick Note: This is the only base tranquilizer weapon in the game that can shoot off helmets.

• Sinful Butterfly (Will penetrate any helmet or riot suit)

3.3 Quiet | Gameplay

Quiet is all about coordination & cooperation.

If you got her back, she’ll also cover yours.

The word “Vanguard” near her name is not for beauty. She can take down an enemy outpost before you get there, use this to your advantage and prepare a trap for the oncoming vehicles or enemies. Another thing you could try using is the “Take Aim” command against soldiers with a helmet. If you are precise you can tell Quiet to fire the first shot to take out the helmet and then you can fire the second shot to neutralize the enemy.

One of my favorite features that you can get from Quiet is changing her weapons on go. In just a span of seconds, she can swap from a powerful, lethal variant to a silent non-lethal one. If you want to request a uniform change, she’ll have to be fultoned to Mother Base and then, she’ll return back.

If you have Quiet, you can play as her in FOB! Many people forget this, but after the latest patch (which as 2 years ago lol), you can select her as a character if you have her on the brig.

She’s almost the same as in MGO3 (she doesn’t cloak for a bit after dashing and can’t dance when it rains or near the water in FOB, obviously). Instead, her defense values are based on your current battle dress grade developed.

Details:

Why is she almost naked?

h̶a̶h̶a̶,̶ ̶k̶o̶j̶i̶m̶a̶ ̶l̶i̶k̶e̶s̶ ̶n̶a̶k̶e̶d̶ ̶w̶o̶m̶e̶n̶ ̶x̶d̶

For real, probably because Kojimbo wanted amplify the subject of prejudice, hatred and misunderstanding in the topic of “RACE” with a controversial one, but doing so he added flames in the pit with his representation. After he tried explaining why he did so, he got himself in the pot because it was too late and people weren’t a mood to care.

Was that a smart decision to touch that kind of controversial matter? No.
Was the hate justified? Also, no.

N.B: If someone cares, I could describe the situation in much more detail. Until then, have this short synopsis ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Wow, author! You wrote over 2000 words about her, an entire essay! You must really like the character, right?

Author, are you okay?

Wish I were.

You can encounter & commune with Quiet both in ACC and at the Mother Base.

She likes looking at you, just like you like looking at her.

She has 2 entire missions dedicated to her.

Her symbol, the butterfly symbolizes the works of resurrection, change.

She’s the only buddy that is a human.

She is the only buddy to not have a “Diamond” next to her name.

She has a nice taste of music and an entire library of cassettes at the Mother Base.

Her favorite genre might be rock or pop.

She can nod, give you a thumbs up and even ease up during the rain, denoting an alive individual.

Her sniper rifle, Wicked Butterfly, has a scope that cannot be acquired by the player.

She doesn’t like when you direct a flashlight towards her, don’t do that.

Don’t attack her, just don’t.

During combat, if she meets enemies while moving to a different sniping position and they’re blocking her, she will kill them using her knife.

Her knife is very cool by the way.

I like her boots, I̶ ̶w̶o̶u̶l̶d̶n̶’̶t̶ ̶m̶i̶n̶d̶ ̶g̶e̶t̶t̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶h̶e̶r̶s̶ ̶f̶o̶r̶ ̶s̶e̶c̶o̶n̶d̶-̶h̶a̶n̶d̶.

She has stun grenades on her rig.

On her tactical sleeve, it’s written, probably: “CT-1030100 / ANTI-TOXIN EIC-CHEM ENRMENT”

Her smile is the best part about her.

she’s veryy cyute, just like her VA.

The mods about her scare me.

She ‘probably’ has more dialogue than Snake.

she likes doggosd, she’s a gooudd person.

Chico is Quiet? No.

She wishes you a happy birthday, unlike Huey.

haha, i am normal. i swear guys…..

4.0 D-Walker | The Robotic Friend

D-Walker, as the name suggests, is a more “advanced” Walker Gear which was built by Huey Emmerich during the Phantom Pain Incident. The inferior Walker Gears, that were mass produced and only used in exceptional situations, were the core idea of making the D-Walker a more superior and agile version for the Diamond Dogs.

The average bipedal robot met on the battlefield was equipped with either, a minigun or a missile launcher, as a primary weapon. The secondary were AM D114 pistols for more accurate shooting. The look of the Walker Gear resembles the one of the Metal Gear Sahelanthropus. You could call this machine a “walking tank”, basically. It can take some hits before being incapacitated and D-Walker tries to minimize these downsides by implementing versatility, which helped him to become unique ally in the buddy system.

During it’s development, he received a number of changes like:
Adding wheels to legs, which made D-Walker a more mobile vehicle of transportation. Another was replacing the face shield for a support head, which sacrificed the user protection to construct D-Walker as an aware buddy. Now you can call D-Walker whenever you want using the “Whistle (call D-walker)” command.

Also, D-Walker is equipped with a special stealth camo when using the Support Head, if you use the command “Stealth Mode” D-Walker will use the stealth camo while being idle. You can deactivate this action by using the command “Normal Mode”. When using the Scouting Head, D-Walker will automatically mark enemies near him which can prove useful in wide areas like Afghanistan Central Base Camp. Utilizing the Intercept Head, D-Walker will engage nearby enemies using side arms.

4.1 D-Walker | Equipment

Because of D-Walker’s customization, every D-Walker will look and function differently. Here’s a preview of every Main Weapon, Sub Weapon, Heads and Manipulators.

Main Weapons:

• Gatling Gun (Grade 2,3 and 4, increases ammunition count from 500 to 1500)

• ATGM-MK IV (Grade 3, 4 and 5, increases damage and ammunition from 8 to 12)

• Flamethrower (Grade 4, 5 and 6, increases fuel capacity)

• H-Discharger (Grade 4, 5 and 6, increases charging speed and decreases range)

• F-Ballista (Grade 5 and 6; increases ammunition count from 8 to 12)

Sub Weapons:

• DW S.Pistol-CS (Grade 1, 3 and 5; [Magazine increased, damage increased, suppressor health increased])

• DW S.Pistol-AP (Grade 4; [Damage increased, Magazine Increased, penetrates glass])

• DW D114-CS (Grade 2)

• DW Geist K11-CS (Grade 4)

• DW ZE’EV-CS (Grade 6)

Manipulators:

• Task-Arm (Grade 2; enables the ability to pick up bodies)

• Task-Arm CQC (Grade 3; enables the ability to CQC)

• Task-Arm MCHT (Grade 4; enables the ability to make slashing attacks)

• Task-Arm SM (Grade 5; attacks effective against vehicles)

Heads:

• Support Head (Grade 2 and 3; Stealth Mode)

• Scouting Head (Grade 4; will actively scout for enemies)

• Intercept Head (Grade 5; will engage nearby enemies)

Special:

• D-Walker, Ammo Rack and Auto Loader (Grade 2,3 and 4; [Increases durability, increases ammo capacity for sub weapons, reload sped up]

4.2 D-Walker | Gameplay

D-Walker is a really fun buddy! Especially when you sort through his equipment. You shouldn’t stick to one loadout, always try something new!

You can also use him if you struggle on some missions, in which you have to get an S Rank, because of his remarkable speed that can easily breeze across missions.

You need someone to watch your back? Use D-Walker’s heads. Scout Head can mark enemies close by and Intercept Head can engage nearby enemies.

Fall damage can be problematic, especially when you’re trying to find a shortcut to your objective. Buckle up! Since, D-Walker’s advancement can defend your legs and make your jump, like a feather floating.

Details:

You know, I would add here an unfunny joke or something to tap your interest, but really, D-Walker is a companion whose details are made out of pure experience. Even though his are almost miniscule, that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have any. In my own encounters, he was the prop to optimize in speed running missions. It was either trying to teleport him just right or gaining a small speed boost after jumping out. He is something that we create personally. D-Walker doesn’t deserve to be compared since he’s just as majestic as others.

“Simplicity, is generally, a solved complexity.”
