How to farm Flathead Catfish (and Green Ogre Gar during Halloween) in North Carolina for $$$
Gears
- Float rod
- #3/0 Hook
- Best bait you can use that specifices Catfish. I’m using pigs eyes as long as they stay on the store. If they’re removed after Halloween I’ll use medium cutbait.
- 90 inch leader
Area: Woody Enchantment
Make sure you check your charts (blue graph on the left) to ensure you’re fishing at peak time
- There’s a spot with 2 dead trees sticking out of the water on the right hand side. You want to cast into the tree on the left. just beyond the tree to the left.
- 42-45 Feet is that sweet spot 50+ feet is that sweet spot.
- Backreel a little bit if the river makes your bobber go crazy
- Set the hook when it’s slammin
- Catch the feesh. Make sure you right click if your tension meter in the bottom left goes orange. See attached video.
