missed messages | Complete Achievement and Ending Guide |

Overview

This guide will list the steps on how to get all endings/achievements in missed messages. You can also consider this guide to be a walkthrough for the game. Be sure to rate it if you liked it. 🙂

“hope” ending | For the “first” playthrough of the game

Before we start:

When playing this game for the first time, you typically do not get the “hope” ending. However, it is not impossible to do. This section shows you how you can get the “hope” ending on the first save. By following this section, you will not understand the whole story, so I recommend reading, “hope” ending. (You can restart your progress to have the same effect)

Walkthrough

Start up the game for the first time or reset your progress if you want to have that “first time” experience.
Feel free to look around your room, but save the laptop until last.
Click on your laptop.
A notification will pop up on the screen saying, “‘goth gf’s iPhone’ wants to send you a note.” You have the options to choose “Accept” or “Decline”. Click “Decline” or ignore the message.
A cloud will appear at the bottom of the screen titled, “Work”. Click this option.
Click “Work” again.
Click “Work” again.
Click out of the laptop.
Click on “Inner Door”.
Two clouds will appear at the bottom of the screen that say, “Knock” and “Go Back”. Click “Knock”.
When May answers the door, you can choose “Looking for sock” or “Hang Out”. Click “Hang Out”.
More options will appear at the bottom. Choose “Take a break”.

You will then go into a scene where you and May are laying on your bed looking through the window. You can choose any of the dialogue options you want.
When you’re done talking with May or there’s nothing left to talk about, click “Let time pass”.
This will exit the cut scene and queue the next part of the story.
Click the door next to your bed and go to the bathroom.
You will see May standing in the mirror (Not gonna spoil it)
Click on May.
When you have the option to choose something, choose “Are you really ok”.
She will try to walk out of the bathroom. Click “Hug”.

End

If you follow all of these instructions, you will earn the achievement “hope” on your first playthrough. Be sure to watch the video if you are having trouble understanding what to do. 🙂

“missed” ending

Before we start:

This ending is the ending you typically get in the beginning of the game. By completing this ending first, you will unlock extra options and learn more about the story in the “hope” or “survivor” playthrough.

Walkthrough

Start up the game. I recommend this being your first playthrough, as it’s typically the first one you get.
Feel free to explore the room, as it doesn’t affect anything. Don’t pay attention to your roommate, though.
When you are done exploring, click on the laptop.
This will give you a series of decisions to make. The one that first appears is “Work”.
Don’t choose this option.
Keep accepting the airdrop messages that appear. What you respond with doesn’t matter, just don’t click “Work”.
At the end, she asks you if you want to hang out later. Click “Yes”.
After doing this, you can exit the laptop. This will automatically bring you to a cut-scene with your roommate. What you say during this conversation will not matter.
After you are done talking, you will meet up with the girl you were talking to earlier.
There are many options you can choose from to talk with her, but it doesn’t change the ending, so feel free to choose what you want.
When you are done talking, choose “Let time pass”. This will end the conversation and continue the story.
You will then check your phone to see that you have missed messages. (It’s the game)
You go back home feeling strange. You look over and see that there is a note on her door.
It reads, Don’t come in. Call the police, they’ll know what to do.
Love, May
Don’t come in the room.

After reading the note, you have two options.
Open door
or
Call police
You can choose either option, but it gets a little graphic if you choose to open the door. I always choose to call the police.
The cut-scene plays out as you click through it. You will get the achievement once you exit the game.

“forgive” ending

Walkthrough

You can only achieve this ending after completing your first playthrough of the game. It will have a new opening cut-scene that adds on to the story.

There is nothing new you need to do when completing this ending.
Follow the “missed” ending to complete this ending.

“survivor” ending

Walkthrough

This ending is almost similar to the “hope’ ending. You only need to change one thing at the end that affects the outcome of the story.

When you are in the bathroom, click “Are you really okay”.
She will try to walk out of the bathroom. Instead of choosing “Hug” like the “hope” ending, choose “Ok”.

This will lead you to another end cut-scene.
You have the options to text or ignore May. Click “Text”.
