Overview
A collection of all Sonic Mania mods made by “PotterAndMatrixFan” and “Haloarbiter117”, including Hedgehogs of Time Plus and Sonic.EXE Mania: Abyss Edition.The purpose of this guide is to neatly sort all mods we made and make it easily accessible.
An Introduction
Hello and welcome, this guide is simply putting all of my own and Haloarbiter117’s mods in one place with fancy pictures and stuff.
There’s a lot of time and effort put into some of these mods, and I just wanted it to look neat and sorted.
Mod Manager
1. You will need [link] and put the files in SteamLibrarysteamappscommonSonic Mania
2. Next open the rar file with Winrar and put the folder within in your mods folder.
3. Example of how the folder structure should look like: SteamLibrarysteamappscommonSonic Maniamods! Hedgehogs of TimeData
4. Start the mod manager, press install loader, check the mod you want, save and play and done.

Hedgehogs of Time – H.o.T

The playable characters in H.o.T are modern Sonic, classic Sonic and Boom Sonic, all having smooth frames and unique animations. It also changes the Hard Boiled Heavies into super original characters. Mania Plus adds Mr Needlemouse and King Sonic as well!
What this mod changes in Mania:
Modern Sonic replaces Sonic.
Classic Sonic replaces Knuckles.
Boom Sonic replaces Tails.
King Sonic with a sword replaces Mighty.
Mr. Needlemouse replaces Ray.
All music is changed, some SFX is changed.
Shadow replaces Metal Sonic. Silver/Mecha Sonic from Sonic 2 (16-bit) replaces Eggman.
The Hardboiled Heavies are replaced by the Hardboiled Hedgehogs (OCS based off the HBH in Sonic form). Yes, this part is super serious. The OCS are: Zero the Artificial Hedgehog, Jenny the Hedgehog, David the Greedy Hedgehog, Donut Steel, Pontes with his bike Jerry.
Including other changes.
Sonic.EXE Mania Abyss (Haloarbiter117)

What this mod does:
Completely revamped Sonic.exe.
Custom sprites for Super Sonic.exe.
Redesigned Knuckles.
Redesigned Tails.
Redesigned Mighty
Tails dolls instead of Metal Sonic.
Complete music overhaul.
New sound effects for the player and UI.
New sprites for Sonic.exe.
No animals (notices that no one sees this change).
And ofcourse the meat of the Beta. The abyss Mode wich is very WIP at the moment but has very few stages playable.
It’s not a finished mod, I have been sitting with this mod for the past 3 months just to port over everything. Don’t expect everything to be completly finished. Ray and Abyss mode are early WIP with more changes to come later as time goes and the Night version of stages been removed as theyre been moved to Abyss Mode.
Credits to PotterAndMatrixFan for being a pal and helping move this mod forward, and testing it out for any issues. He also created custom sprites for Sonic and Tails doll.
Cooler Sonic PLUS
Features:
– Sonic The Hedgehog is cooler (S3&K sprites)
– Shadow The Hedgehog replaces Miles “Tails” Prower.
– Metal Sonic replaces Knuckles The Echidna.
– Blaze the Cat replaces Mighty The Armadillo.
– Silver The Hedgehog replaces Ray The Flying Squirrel.
– Mephiles The Dark replaces the Metal Sonic boss fight in Stardust Speedway.
– The Hardboiled Heavies are replaced.
– Two completely separate soundtracks for Mania and Encore modes.

Falling with Style

This tiny mod changes the “air walk” sprites into something closer to what a lot of ROM hacks did when falling after hitting a spring.
Applies to all five characters and Super Sonic.
Green Hill Remixes ONLY

We all know and love the iconic Green Hill theme from Sonic the Hedgehog (1991). In fact, we love it so much that it needs to be the theme of everything. Why did I make this again?

Sonic 3 & Knuckles has one of my favorite Sonic soundtracks of all time. So why not put it into Mania?
I’ve tried to make the songs fit into the Mania stages and such to the best of my ability.
This mod has custom loop points for some of the tracks.
Sonic 4 OST

This mod puts the OST of Sonic 4 Ep 1 and 2 into Sonic Mania. It’s ruined forever! Includes loop points. it also includes level names, some that make absolutely no sense, and the title screen now looks like the Sonic 4 title. Enjoy.
Sonic Forces OST
I know there’s already a couple other mods like this, but I wanted to post my own.
This gets rid of the amazing music in Mania and replaces it with the OST from Forces.

This mod replaces a ton of SFX in Sonic Mania, and is mainly intended for use with Sonic but could work hilariously with Tails and Knuckles as well.

Sonic Unleashed is my favorite 3D Sonic games to date, so I figured why not place the music in Mania?
This replaces most of the music with the OST from Sonic Unleashed and a few remixes. Some songs may seem like odd choices, but I was running out of tracks.
Spider-Hog Mania

Spider-Hog Mod Includes
* Sonic into the Amazing Spider-Hog (Superform: Symbiote Suit).
* Tails into the Ultimate Spider-Tails (No Superform).
* Knuckles into the Superior Spider-Echidna (Screwed up Superform).
* Metal Sonic Replaced by custom made Venom.
* Menu sounds from “Spider-Man the Movie Game”.
* Bruce Campbell Announcer (Spider-Man 1-3 videogames tutorial guy).
* Completely changed music into tracks, with the inclusion of well known Spider-Man tracks.

“WHAT ARE YOU DOING?”
I made this odd mod because I felt like I needed to make a mod that didn’t take itself seriously.
What does this mod change:
– All music is changed, except the endings.
– The Sega startup sound is changed.
– Memes.

ANTI.DLL ManiaC: The one to cleanse the world from crappy creepypastas once and for all!
Best Blue Boy: A mod consisting of Sonic sprites made completely from scratch by PotterAndMatrixFan.
Monokuma Mania: A mod by Haloarbiter. It replaces Sonic and friends with Monokuma from the Danganronpa series.
