A complete video walkthrough and 100% achievement guide for Morningstar: Descent to Deadrock.
Something Smells Fishy Achievement.
***WARNING*** This achievement is missable.

On-board the Morningstar from the corridor, go down the ladder to the cargo hold and click on the small red container on the right side of the screen.

Novak-aine Achievement.
On-board the Morningstar from the corridor, go up the ladder to the Medical Room, open the first aid box on the wall and take the syringe. Go down the ladder twice to the Cargo Bay and use the syringe on the industrial nanoglue barrel on the left of the screen. Glue in hand go up to the corridor, back once (to turn around and face the cockpit) and head into the cockpit and give (apply the glue on) Novak.

Nanoglue location = Video part 1 at the 8m33s mark.
Patching up Novak = Video part 1 at the 8m57s mark.
Breach Contained Achievement.
On-board the Morningstar, there are three hull breaches that require filling with nanoglue and as you break the syringe fixing up Novak, you first need something to hold and apply the glue.
The nanoglue gun is found on the floor in the engine room, the adhesive compartment (the part of the gun that holds the glue) is also found in the engine room, in the space between the cabinets at the back of the room and the applicator head is down a drain in the corridor.
To get the applicator head you will first need to obtain a can of beer, found on the floor in the loading area, once in hand pour the beer down the drain and you will then be able to collect the applicator head from the drain.
Finally, assemble the nanoglue gun by dragging and dropping the cartridge and head on the gun and head back to the cargo hold placing the glue gun on the nanoglue barrel to fill it up.
The hard part out of the way head to the cockpit, loading area and medical bay to repair the hull breaches.

Away Party of One Achievement.
On-board the Morningstar use the electric wires (obtained from the hibernation fluid tube) to override the door controls in the loading bay and then click the door controls to open the door, then click on exit the ship and a tête-à-tête will ensue between you and Novak and the achievement will pop.

Blast It! Achievement.
At the gorge you need to make a bridge to continue your journey, the most likely candidate is a large stone pillar that needs felling and to achieve this, you need some explosives.
To make the explosive charge you first need to get the used carbon filter from out of the ventilator in the medical bay, some saltpetre from the sand outside the Morningstar, then a tube of insect repellent from the crate next to the stone pillar in the gorge and then combine these three components to make black powder.
The final component required is a firecracker which is used as a detonator, this can be found in the cargo bay, the left hand middle large square crate. With all components in hand, head over to the stone pillar, place the black powder, then the firecracker and stand back and enjoy the show.

Hole Full of Heads Achievement.
This achievement pops the first time you visit the source of the distress beacon (the crater).

Locker Check Achievement.
On-board the military cruiser wreck there are three lockers, each requires a passcard to open and all three must be opened to pop the achievement, M.Coulter’s and V.Dertl’s are on the left side of the hibernation room and S.Mendez’s is on the right, as for the key cards these are on their unfortunate corpses.
Mendez’s corpse is found in the cockpit of the military cruiser, Coulter’s is at the camp and Dertl’s is found in the crater on the ledge.
M.Coulter’s Locker = Video part 3 at the 1m30s mark.

S.Mendez’s Locker = Video part 2 at the 8m44s mark.

Baggage Inspection Achievement

– Morningstar #1, located in the corridor outside the cockpit, contains a doll = Video part 1 at the 2m21s mark.
– Morningstar #2, located in the cargo bay, the bottom middle, large square container, this contains leather jackets, you can’t take them, but you do need to click on them* = Video part 1 at the 8m06s mark.
– Morningstar #3, located in the cargo bay, the left middle large square container, this contains a firecracker = Video part 1 at the 8m28s mark.
– Morningstar #4, located in the loading bay, contains a military gas mask = Video part 1 at the 10m04s mark.
– Gorge #5, located in front of the stone pillar you have to bring down to create a bridge, contains insect repellent = Video part 2 at the 5m57s mark.
– Gorge Ledge #6, located to the right of the corpse, contains copper wire = Video part 2 at the 11m34s mark.
– Camp #7, located in the centre of the camp, can only be opened using the shovel, contains a broken radio = Video part 2 at the 14m27s mark.

Where the Magic Happens Achievement
This achievement pops the first time you enter the gravity generator room which you get to via the crater ledge and blowing a hole in the door.

Hooooome… Achievement.
When you enter the gravity generator building in the crater, if you take a left there are some folders projected on the ceiling, each one containing a different star system, when you open the folder containing Sol (Earth) this achievement pops. It’s the one in the bottom right.

Recovering Data Achievement.
In total there are 3 data logs that need to be collected (from corpses) which can be found in the following locations…
– Habib’s body/log is in the engine room of the military cruiser = Video part 2 at the 9m52s mark.
– Rosso’s body/log is at the camp on the far left = Video part 2 at the 11m57s mark.
– The captains body/log is in a stasis pod, in the room to the right of the gravity generator, in the right aisle = Video 3 at the 8m59s mark.
Once all three are collected the achievement will pop.
Remembering the Dead Achievement.
Collected all the passcards and data logs from the above achievements?, congrats, this achievement just popped.
Gravity Corrected Achievement.
Given the alien controls are symbols, it would take an age to screen cap, cut and link images, so instead just watch the first 20 seconds of the 4th part of the video walkthrough.
Alien Life Sign Achievement.
***WARNING*** This achievement is missable.

In the hanger/workshop there is a secret room located behind the head/drone in the far left corner, the click box first shows up as “look behind the heads” and after you are finished talking to yourself you can click again to enter the room.
Rather hard to miss is the corpse of a very human looking alien slumped over some stones and rags, click on it and this achievement will pop.

Flight of the Stone Head Achievement.
With the gravity generator switched off and a swarm of drones flying around you opt to make your escape back to the Morningstar using one of the damaged drones in the hanger/workshop. First, you need to install a power supply, remove the weapons module, install a servo controller (jury rigged using a couple of data logs you found earlier) and your long range scanner.
Once complete, clear the doors of rubble and push the drone outside before joining it and flying off into the sunset, the achievement will pop once you take off.

Morningstar Ascends Achievement.
This achievement will pop just before the final cut scene as the Morningstar takes off from planet Deadrock.
