Multiplayer Achievements guide/ Multiplayer guide.

Overview

General Multiplayer, multiplayer community guide, and Multiplayer achievement guide new and experienced players.

Multiplayer Community.

The Multiplayer Community is usually an alright bunch. Just out there to kill other splicers and have fun. Some are completetionists out to get trials, and others are achievement hunters out to perfect the game.

There is a Multiplayer Community group that gives out handy non-regular events, packing in players as the servers are usually empty or have under 3 people.

If you want someone to boost you, ask when there are few people in the match, like less than 4-5.
Don’t ask when there’s a real civil war punch up going on.

Be civil, and enjoy the civil war.

Multiplayer.

There are many weapons to choose from as you level up.
Do not limit yourself to the same weapons, learn from more experienced players, and choose what fits your play style.

It is very possible and somewhat easy to noob tube, as this game has a grenade launcher.
And there have been games where everyone just pulls out a grenade launcher, like in the map:
Medical Pavilion.

Best not to do so though, as one person abusing it, will turn into a flood of players joining in. The advantage will be lost, and no one will really be having fun.

Never under estimate your plasmids, but, their usefulness only becomes more apparent as you play more maps; Environment can effect your plasmid’s overall damage.
These factors include Pools of water, pools of oil, and random red drums.

Which factor into the three most popular plasmids, Electricity, setting people on fire, and telekinesis.

The electrical Plasmid both stuns enemy player, preventing he or she from moving and causes a little damage. Best used in conjunction with water, or an Elephant gun/crossbow.

The fire Plasmid is a general use damaging plasmid, dealing moderate amounts of damage to ensure your opponent does not survive your confrontation if you deal enough damage after a skirmish, and either of you are attempting to run away. Best used as an assault plasmid in conjuction with Submachine guns, such as the tommy gun or the nail gun, but depending on your play style, other weapons may be more favorable.

The Telekinesis plasmid is the favorite of players in the early stages of the map: Smugglers Hideout, and most of the other Rapture map pack DLCs. grab a barrel, and chuck it at a person who looks at you funny- insta-kill. No more new barrels spawn, so it’s effectiveness will be limited to stunning people like the electrical plasmid, through throwing random garbage at them. Useful tactically, not useful when attempting to kill someone.

Melee. Many players always forget about the Melee weapon in this game. The uses are extremely limitless as you find yourself in Close quarters in the cramped areas of rapture. If you’ve run out of ammo, or eve, or just stuck reloading, nothing’s more reliable than beating someone to death with an array of fun weapons. I have a preference to the mallet.

Aqua Incognita, Territorial, Man About Town.

For these three, if you can play and win each of these maps playing it privately, having a private adam grab. Then afterwards, play online and win any map, that corresponds to a DLC or Non-DLC map. You can get these achievements easily. (I did it the hard way and it took months.)

Unnatural Selection.

If you can’t make a kill, keep trying, you’ll get there. Stick together, and kill together. Facing off against someone on your own your first time might not be ther best of ideas.

Welcome to Rapture.

play a match, win or lose, it’s yours.

Proving Grounds.

Play a match, The game is a team effort. That is, of course, unless you have a some teammate out of a nordic loony bin. It shouldn’t be too hard. If you keep losing, take a break from the game.

Disgusting Frankenstein.

It’ll take some experience and luck with the game, find a suit, put it on.
Game mode is the ever popular “Civil war.”

It might appear right infront of you, it might be a race to get it. It might take awhile.

See a sparkly, golden, mess on the floor? run towards it like a drug addict, going after the last stash of adam in the rapture.

“Mr. Bubbles– No!”

Stick with other players, you need to gang up on the guy.
don’t bunch up, he’s got grenades, use whatever you got on him. He’s a big target.
I’d advise a machinegun with a rate of fire boost, a grenade launcher with homing frags
if you don’t want to get up too close, or melee, if you actually do want to get up close-
just get his back and start spam whacking.
Game mode is on “Civil war.”

Mother Goose.

hard, but possible. If you can’t join a game on that mode, just start a match on the game mode yourself, and alt+tab, or read a book. Eventually some people will come and you’ll hear the countdown for the game to start. It is highly advised that you get plamids like Aero dash, and any trait that can help you get away. Careful though, you can’t use a gun when you carry that little sister. As soon as you get into a vent, stuff that little adam goddess in, and waste no time, every enemy is out to get you.
Game mode: “Capture the little sister.”

You gotta carry that w8.

Two-Bit Heroics.

If you don’t get it within your first few matches, look up an easy trial and pull it off. Probably a gun you’re really familiar with, and get kills to complete the trial with it.

Parasite, Little Moth, Skin Job, Choose the Impossible.

Easily done by scamming lone adam grabs, There are many other guides to leveling up easily. There’s always two or three level 50’s tearing up the game, I’d more likely assume it’s skill and experience though. Joining a non-private match before you hit the corresponding level might be the right idea. Either way, experience/adam isn’t hard to get in normal multiplayer games anyway.

Reincarnation.

select rebirth at the play lobby once you hit level 50.

Beware of Players in the Community.

Now, It wouldn’t be a multiplayer guide if I said there weren’t any dangers to having fun and enjoying yourself. Mainly, players that bully and act with childish immaturity.
I’m just creating a guide to help the new people. Don’t shoot the messenger. I will however randomize the name to prevent accusations of slander. The actual name can probably be found with clues and hints badly hidden in the guide.

A number of community members have complained of a certain
viking european nordic norse, deity goddess demon demi-god, of numbered 1-9.

Who goes around being cheap with kills, whining about noobtubing hypocritically, and bullying new players. Who also claimed to have played the multiplayer since the game came out. Which is mildly disturbing if not sad, as no real new multiplayer content of any sort has come out since release. If you happen to see the “wench in the red dress,” as an opponent, feel free to leave the game, no one will blame you for it. If she happens to be on your team, you can’t really complain as you get a free ticket to victory.
