Overview
This is my view of the series of events considering the purple guy, the kid in FNaF 4, and how the animatronics were made, plus what happened considering the killings. I would have posted this in FNaF 4, but I have it on another device, so I posted it here instead.
Let’s Get Straight To It…
Okay, I’ll jump straight in with this guide.
Let’s take a look at the fourth installment of the franchise. At the end of night 5, a clip plays and shows us how Golden Freddy caused the bite of ’87. That was the first thing that helped me piece together the rest of the details. Now let’s make a jump from fourth to first, with the whole ‘it’s me’ hallucination. Remember those spoiler images of the nightmare animatronics, and the whole question asking, “Was it me?” It’s Golden Freddy – the hallucination of Golden Freddy from the first game accompanied with those two words tells us that it is indeed him who bit that child’s frontal lobe off.
In that clip, you also see that the four other boys are wearing masks of the other four animatronics: Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy. Those animatronics didn’t actually exist back then, when the first pizzeria was built. It was at the second/third establishment that they were made at. I believe that those boys became the victims of the purple guy, and that the boy who was bitten became the Puppet. You see him crying in the clips, as well as in FNaF 2 outside the pizzeria when Freddy is giving out cake. That leads to another question: who is the purple guy? And why are the four kids who gave the young kid a sore head the animatronics as well?
Well here it is: it’s an act of revenge. Purple guy wanted to act out revenge on the kids who got that young kid’s frontal lobe bitten off. In this case, that might make him a relative or a friend. As for the four kids, they’re the night guards we see working at the pizzerias – more specifically, the ones in the first two games. The phone guy that we hear in FNaF 1 was killed by an animatronic that happened to be Golden Freddy, as we hear his death scream in the call. So Golden Freddy was carrying out the murders, and reminding you in two ways that ‘it’s me’. The first way being that he bit the lobe off, but it’s also you saying ‘it’s me’. You’re saying it because you forced him to do this, and you are an animatronic.
In the midst of all this, there’s one key factor missing: use of the gold suits. To carry out the murders, purple guy used the Golden Freddy suit to make the four kids get a taste of their own medicine. However, it’s clear that purple guy went too far, as all five kids go for purple guy and he’s forced to back into the Golden Bonnie suit – Springtrap. Yet the Puppet bought him back to life for one last task: to burn down the pizzeria and let their souls go free, so they could fly free in peace.
Don’t believe me? Here’s another piece of evidence to support this. Seeing as one of the kids is the phone guy, and gets killed by Golden Freddy, in FNaF 2 he says on the phone, “Did you ever see Foxy at the end of the hallway? Like I said, he was always my favourite.” Even earlier than that, he remarks about how he, “Never really liked that Puppet thing.” He hates the Puppet, yet hates Foxy – his friend, who is in fact Foxy at some point.
Of course, all of this is just speculation, but leaves another burning question: if the kids are previous night guards, who is the character we play as in FNaF 4? Well, it’s purple guy, after the murders but before his own demise. My theory is that the Puppet was his son, hence why he acted out revenge on his bullies. He’s forced to spend nights in his son’s rooms due to his guilt, and is haunted by the people he killed during this time, in addition to the Nightmare who plays with him and taunts him with the knowledge of his oncoming death.
