No Intro Videos / Remove 2K, Firaxis, AMD & Game Intro

Sid Meier’s Civilization: Beyond EarthDon’t want to waste your precious gaming-time for watching the videos of the games producers every single time you start the game?Here’s a quick, non destructive guide to remove those videos.

Disabling the videos

Thankfully very quick and easy:

• Open your file browser (i.e. explorer on windows).
• In there navigate to the video folder of the game, i.e.:
  C:SteamSteamLibrarySteamAppscommonSid Meier’s Civilization Beyond Earth
• Rename the following files (i prefer to just add an underscore “_” at the beginning):
  Game intro in different languages
  • BE_IntroMovie720.bk2
  • BE_IntroMovie720_ja_JP.bk2
  • BE_IntroMovie720_ko_KR.bk2
  • BE_IntroMovie720_zh_Hant_HK.bk2
  Publisher Logos
  • CivBE_Logos.bk2
    
• Start the game without the videos.
