Thoughts about Alchemy, Rouges and making money

- The thing that most intreagues me about RR02 or even the old game RRO (which i have played extensively on a private server) had always been their ideas for a crafting system. I really hoped that when i saw RRO2 on steam that it woud have as amazing a crafting system as the origional and I am not as yet disapointed. The dynamic of asigning a character a set job right from the start encourages trade interaction which I think is a clever thing to do in a multi player game as it could encourage a barter system. At first i thoguht i would make a character for each job and walk them up all the time so i could have the best of everything and for a time that worked well. More and more though I prefer my most advanced character which is my Rouge / Alchemest.

- Being able to hide is really usefull to an alchemst as you can stealth and go pick up herbs in areas where other players would have to fight their way too get into at the risk that a monster may sopntainously spawn right as their about to finish picking the herb and interupt them.

- Being able to make your own superior healing and buff pots is so very helpfull too. The potions you can make usually sell well at auction too. Keep in mind that the only fixed cost for potions is the cost of bottles from the alchemy shop. You can find everything else yourself farming. Anything you can make at auction more then the price of the bottles to make is profits. You can try to add the auction price of essences and herb concentrate and it is tempting to set the prices on acution as if you had bought those things on auction at the average price. That isn't really strictly speaking 'net' profit though. And doing that tends to make things sell too slowly. Setting prices you would like to pay for those things when you were that level is always savy. You might call that golden rule merching. In other words if you sell things for the price you would like to buy it at you tend to sell things quickly is my observation. Their will always be alot of farming of things to do anyways to get more junk to sell.

- It may be possible, much like it was in Runscape which i also have played alot, to sell the things needed to make something for much more then the price of the finished product. People will spend monies to buy experience in this game too yes?

- But hey, why feed the designated merchants too much free cash? Looking at the prices that the other people are auctioning things at can help you get a general idea what things might be selling for. In general though i would go a little under what the gold farmers sell things for at auction. It's just the way I play. I'd rahter be out their gathering stuff to sell then stuck to one place waiting for my stuff.; Gold farming buggs me because it warps the market, tending to make things so expensive that only people that buy gold farming monies can afford to buy things on auction. Go figure. Or in other words certinly gold farmers would certinly be tempted to put things up on auction at such a high price that only those who buy their monies can buy their stuff. *sigh* Such a youg game and already so much corruption.

Thoughts About LoadStone, and Archer / Artician

- It is vary easy to get job levels as an artician as menny of the things you kill get you threads or hides.

- It is somewhat usefull to be able to make something that is paticularly usefull to your class with your job,,, for example my Archer/ Artician can make his own armor. Mabey it's just because i over farm so much at the earlier areas but it often seems like it is easier to get the equips you make yoruself then the best leveled equipment to match your levels. All jobs have something that is usefull to everyone but An Archer / Artician would be more usfull then say a Priest / Smith as the only thing they can make that is usefull to themself is their own weapon.

- Articians have the most things to buy over any other class from their expert. You have all the armor recipies for theif, archer, priests, and mages to buy, runes, essence refinments, and resource refinments. To make any class of artician a 'main' you need a good strategy to make monies off of your job . You need a really just an huge ammount of monies how ever you can get it.

- Because you can not get hats in the NPC Armor shops and they are kind of rare from monsters it may be a paticularly good strategy to line your player shops and auction space with hats, what ever hats you can make.

- on LoadStone . I maxed Charged Arrow early and Double Straif soon after. I only need 3 slots in the quick bar for my skills. It works good.

- You might think at first that an archer need alot of agility but archers still gain power from strength. I would recomend keeping your Strength and Agility fairly close. I keep my agility just a little ahead of my strength.

- I don't like the Archer's trap abilities. They don't seem usfull with just one point in them so they are low priority.

- Chaged Arrow > Double Straif > Attention Concentrate(and other buffs) > Passives < Traps

Thoughts about HartyQuime, a Knight/Smith

- I am planning to make this chacter a proper tank eventually So far is a level 17 Knight, level 28 smith.

- You can actually walk dirctly to the third area with the merfolk wars going on a without doing all the quests in between. (I don't quite trust myself to spell it, isuld? Izuld? hills.) You just can't fight their so good. But you can mine their if your carfulll.

-It was a guess that making a knight smith would be cool. It's nifty to make your own armor and weapons. Knights make the best smiths.

- I had to try a rune hole punch once i got the level. It would not work on any of the normal monster drop , npc shop items, or crafted items. Turns out it only works on dungeon boss monster equipment drops so it can be difficult to get stuff that is actually slotable. If you get an item that says 'Blind slot" in the ghost window you can slot it with a puch. I think they ment to say bind slot not blind slot but it's a new game. And I am not the only one that got distracted alot in spelling class.
