Crown is what makes you The Ruller.
The Greed wants Your Crown.
Greed will come for it at night. Greed stats it with from small.
It starts when you comes to a campfire in the woods. A couple of men are always here.
The True Ruller knows what people need. People need no food or rest.
People NEED GOLD! MUA-HA-HA-HA-HA!
And so Greed comes for ya, my friend.
So you need to hire those homeless and rise a camp. By ’em bows and find new gold-feeded slav… hmm… homeless people to care about.
Ok, let’s be honest. You just need to protect Your Preasu… hmm… Your Crown.
And you can’t do it with the horse you only got.
Press down arrow to drop some gold to those bottom feeders. Look at how they run for it!
Double tap left/righ arrow key to move Your Majesty away from this ugly place.
Hold left shift to switch your mount from walk to sprint.
Basic tactics and daily achievements (spoilers included)
Since game is really interesting when you’re exploring it by yourself – there ‘d be a tons of spoliers hidden.
Read ’em only when you do hunt for an achievement or a hint and already discovered game mechanics.
So your first target is to hoard 8 bowmen.
No builders needed at the beginning.
Push deers, find camps, hire people.
Every homeless camp spawns 2 men a day. One at the dawn one at the sunset.
Maybe I’m wrong and it’s 3 ppl – one at midday, but it matters not when you just leave a coin as a habit.
When homeless got a coin he’s heading to your base and looking for an available tool or weapon.
Have no extra bows. Have no hammers.
First night will greet with 2-3 Small Greedlings.
With not enough bowmen you can loose unused hammers/bows from shop.
With walls you can’t. But you’ll loose 2 coins for nothing and won’t get
Free walls from rising your camp to level 3. It’s about 20 coins in sum.
To make it easier you need to understand deer behaviour, scout island for coin chests, and maybe hire 1 or 2 builders to remove closest trees to expand rabbits a bit.
Just don’t ever remove the trees closest to homeless or trader camps. It will remove ’em.
Also game got a bug that breaks homeless camp even if the trees are kept.
Once you got walls paid – to rise ’em you need builders – at least one.
Walls can be leveled up. It happens with temporary disabling it. So don’t upgrade it when your builders don’t have enough time to finish it before the night comes.
Achievement requires you another tactic. Build your camp only on 3rd day.
Do it on a separate save slot for fun or on last island for own fear.
It ruins fast and smooth progress if you want to make it far enough before winter comes and make it through the game in acceptable time.
You need to get 40 rabbits by this time.
Means enough clear land for ’em to spawn and enough bowmen to get ’em.
Kill nobody.
Not sure about rabbits and deers since icon shows Greedling…
Didn’t made it yet. Don’t remember what’s about original game.
Means no kills at all. No bowmen to be sure of no kills.
You can still pay to mobs 😉 And maybe enough builders can fix walls at acceptable rate at night.
You just need to loose a coin that didn’t fit your pouch.
More clear land needed.

Is it about coop?
Get your first gem. It’s on the second island in a chest.
Get rid of the first Greedy Portal.
You need to have at least one extra wall on any side and stone castle where you can hire troops.
Recruit 2 squads and pay ’em by the flag on the futherst wall: 4 coins for each squad to head out.
2 squads with melee full of coins can remove small portal, but not the one in the rock or on the pier. Pier requres at least 3 squads. Don’t assault rocks until it’s really necessary.
Mounts
– can use stamina to sprint for a limited time
– hard breathing when close to
– getting exhausted by sprinting to the limit
– being exhausted unable to sprint and stops if you try
– got different % of stamina to exit exhausted state
– restores stamina during walk not only standing
– got a price in coins to straddle, no refunds on getting back to cheaper one
– except basic horse got a gem based price to unlock
– most mounts can eat fresh grass to “recharge” (hello, winter)
– most mounts got special ability descibed futher (few uses stamina)
– active abilities uses stamina
After getting exausted it takes time to “recharge”.
During the rest it can’t sprint, moves a bit slower and rears up if you trying to sprint.
So do never ever try to sprint on exausted mount. If you got company on your tail it leads to a reduction in the distance. And you dont want to loose your crown in panic.
Got it from the start. Costs 2 coins. Never had a reason to use it again.
Has common behaviour. Eats grass.
Medium stamina, medium restore rate, about 50% to exit exhausted state.
Slower in the woods, fatser on the clear ground.
Lives in a beautifull waterfall on the second island.
Cost just 1 gem and 3 coins.
Stamina etc is like a basic horse. Eats grass.
But it runs slow on plains and realy fast by forest.
And it can charm forest deers so it’ll follow him til the first shot.
To get deer on your tail you need to be close to it for an amount of time. It varies from a split second to few seconds. But 100% works every time. So you can drag back home up to 5~6 deers at a time. On dense bowmen crowd it means up to 15~18 coins of income at a blink of an eye.
But again after deer follower gets first shot it’s trying to run to opposite side from shooter.
If the deer made it though the first shooter and got shot after – it’s gonna heading to the base 😉
TL;DR
Perfect beginning. Grab it asap to swap the ugly basic horse.
Push your economy by dragging deers to bowmen.
Also it’s beautiful and runs forests like a wind.
Keep forests on the island to keep faster movement.
Falls from the sky on the first island.
Costs 2 gems and N coins (8?).
High stamina, slow restore rate, eats everywhere (restores a bit) also when idle. About 50% to exit exhausted but will take ages with its restore rate.
Running fast everywhere. A bit slower in the woods.
Got ability to flap its wings by pressing left SHIFT without moving – pushes back Small Greed.
Drains good portion of stamina.
TL;DR
Sprints fast and for a long time but hard breathing means the limit is very close and it will restore for ages. Pushes back with wings – useless and costly.
As for me, I do preffer deer till I can take bear or lizard.
Third island, 1 gem, like a dozen coins, never tried it, can say nothing.
Hiding on the plain land where a wooden fence is.
3rd island, 1?2 gem, >dozen coins, tried it and reloaded after.
Read in comments that it can rally troops and boost ’em…
Well, never tried. Who knows.
You can find it on the plain land with the hills of war on the back.
4th island. Lives at some ruins with the bee hive on a branch.
2 or 3 gems, about 15 coins
Low stamina, high restore rate, low exhausted exit time.
Sprints fast, runs out even fatser. Can eat grass.
Can kill deers and rabbits/racoons by sprinting over it. Deer needs 2 bites.
And yes killing this way drops coins.
TL;DR
New way of pushing economy. Comes at a price of a freaking fast exhausting.
Worst mount during winter.
4th island.
2?3 gems, 20? coins.
Comes with a fire breath. Yeah, baby! The first battle mount! You can handle the crowd without a single warior if you got enough distance to run while they burn.
Spitting fire takes a lot of stamina.
Medium stamina, high restore rate, really low exhausted exit time.
Fast sprint. Often and fast sprint.
Fire does damage to geed only. Deers, rabbits, troops and portals got no harm.
But it looks like it blocks deers. Useless on high distances since you can’t really drive ’em where you want.
TL;DR
Must have when your economy is fine and you don’t need no deers and bears.
