Overclocked Conviction achievement for Sid Meier's Civilization VI

Overclocked Conviction achievement

Overview

Has this achievement eluded you for a while now? Was there always a pesky mountain range or city state in the way of your sixth or seventh city? Fear not, I have all the answers for you in this guide. Overclocked Conviction After building the Jebel Barkal wonder, earn 28 Faith per turn on its tile.

Setup of the game

If you set your game up like this, you can hardly fail. The idea is to be alone in the eurasia continents and start in the Nile region, because there’s lots of desert.

Maptype: True Start Location Earth
Character: Amanitore
AI character: Anyone in the America’s; Mayans, Brazil, Canada, Usa
Difficulty: I suggest your normal difficulty, the easier you set it, the faster you get the achievement.
City States: 0
Barbarians: easier without, whatever you want.

Plan your layout

When you start the game, scout around with your warrior and find a desert hill. There should be one directly to the west of your starting location.

Now plan out the layout of your empire.
The easiest way to do this by using the Radial Measuring Tool mod (found in the workshop). This is also a very handy mod for normal games where you want to plan cities and wonders. But you can do it by hand if you want to.
It should look like this:

Now use Tacks to plan where your 7 cities will go and where you will place Jebel Barkal.

Spam settlers and start building Jebel Barkal

Now it’s time to spam settlers. I chose to put my capital two hexes left of the vulcano you start next too. This way the river will give you lots of population for building the settlers. If possible scoop up the Lady of the Reeds and Marshes Pantheon for more production. I would first go for productive city’s. The reason is you want a Commercial hub with a market in each one, so your city next to Jebel Barkal will get as many traderoutes for extra production as possible.
In the end your empire should look roughly like mine and you’ll get the achievement. Good luck!
