Controls
I’ve changed my controls too much to be helpful here. Hit alt+o to change the controls.
Things you will want to know:
The TAB button switches between aiming your weapon and clicking/interacting with stuff. In first/third person you will raise your gun when you are in aiming mode.
In the options window (alt+o) you can change the profanity filter so that you can see people swear.
How to horse? (New Player Tips)
What this section covers: The tutorial, horses, crafting, and things to do in starter towns.
The tutorial:
The tutorial is laggy and annoying and will give you a good idea of how to play the game. Play it.
Starting FE:
Once you pick a starter town and get out of the tutorial, talk to the dude/lady in the bunker and do the starter quests. These will award you with ammo and a horse. After that proceed to do more of the quests in the town.
How to horse?
Click the damn horse!
Things to know:
Craft as much as possible. Craft and sell stuff on auction for money. Remember to undercut the lowest price.
NEVER type /pvp. This enables world wide pvp. If you have already done this, type /pvp again to disable it, there is a 15 minute countdown to disable it.
Do not swear in help chat.
Do not speak languages other than English in help chat. The GMs are a little xenophobic.
GMs are admins. Their names are YELLOW and they CAN ban you.
Hazmats have GREEN names and they CANNOT ban you, or mute you. They have no power here.
