Paradise Lost – Keep that crap from Crashing!

Overview

I have no skill in game developement or any other coding relating stuff, yet i used my missing skills as good as possible to fix the “Paradise Lost” dlc to keep it running without any crashes, since RWS gives a… about it, i had to do it on my own.

First Step and most importantly

  • First of all you should disable “Dismemberment Phsyics”, this can cause some crashes when the action is on fire.
    • This is completely optional though.

Audio Mode

POSTAL 2 Build Apr 20 2018 01:08:49 OS: Windows NT 6.1 (Build: 7601) CPU: GenuineIntel PentiumPro-class processor @ 3093 MHz with 4095MB RAM Video: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB (1891) Level: ..PLSaveSave21.usa – Chemical Factory Area More than 128 streams in use History: UALAudioSubsystem::GetNewStream <- UALAudioSubsystem::RegisterSound <- UALAudioSubsystem::PlayMusic <- UALAudioSubsystem::UpdateZoneSound <- HandleAmbience <- UALAudioSubsystem::Update <- UGameEngine::Draw <- UWindowsViewport::Repaint <- UWindowsClient::Tick <- ClientTick <- UGameEngine::Tick <- UpdateWorld <- MainLoop

  • To avoid this error change your “Audio Mode” in the options from “Software 3D” to “Hardware 3D”
    • The game still can and possible will crash, but should be way less than before.

Removing “SunCorona”

POSTAL 2 Build Apr 20 2018 01:08:49 OS: Windows NT 6.1 (Build: 7601) CPU: GenuineIntel PentiumPro-class processor @ 3093 MHz with 4095MB RAM Video: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB (1891) Level: PL-EndOfMonday.♥♥♥ – Trainyard Area Bad export index 718492647/12 History: IndexToObject <- (SunL2 93289) <- ULinkerLoad::CreateExport <- ULinkerLoad::CreateImport <- IndexToObject <- (LinkerLoad Transient.LinkerLoad44 470903)) <- ULinkerLoad<<UObject <- FPropertyTag::SerializeTaggedProperty <- (Count 0) <- LoadStream <- (Texture[-1]) <- UStruct::SerializeTaggedProperties <- FPropertyTag::SerializeTaggedProperty <- (Count 0) <- LoadStream <- (Coronas[-1]) <- UStruct::SerializeTaggedProperties <- (Class FPSGame.SunCorona) <- UClass::Serialize <- (Class FPSGame.SunCorona 470903==470903/516649 470

  • To avoid this error you have to remove the “SunCorona” entities from the game.
    • You either can do it yourself with the editor or you download the workshop mod below.

Any other problem?

If you experience any other crashes just let me know, i can’t and WILL NOT promise anything but ANYONE HAS to take a look at it since RWS will not.
