DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE Guide

Parallel Quest's Time Patroller Locations in Dragon Ball: Xenoverse for DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE

Parallel Quest’s Time Patroller Locations in Dragon Ball: Xenoverse

Overview

This guide will show you where all the Time Patroller’s spawn locations in all spawnable Parallel Quest in Dragon Ball: Xenoverse, so you can come up with your own farming methods for obtaining Dragon Balls!

Introduction/Reasonings

Hello once again! I am the happiest of the cats, Happy Fun Cat, and I am here to give you the spawn locations of all the Time Patrollers in Dragon Ball: Xenoverse.

Now, you may be asking why am I doing something like this, well voices in my head, let me tell you. While there are great guides here listing which parallel quest house the Time Patrollers, and which ones are the best at farming these for Dragon Balls, there is not a list showing where they spawn at on the map. I want to give you the information on these locations and allow you to decide for yourself which is the best for Dragon Ball farming, or if you are farming one of these missions for Rewards (skills, equipment, ect.), you will know where the Time Patroller is and try to knock down 2 Birds with 1 Kamehameha!

If you would like to know the wishes that can be made, or would just like a viewable list of all the possible spawn quest without all the junk I add, I recommend Scarlet Vampire Queen’s Guide to Dragon Ball Location & Information Guide. They did a great job with the guide and this allowed me to double check each of the quest to make sure I did not miss one!

PQ 2: Prepare for the Attack of Saiyans!

This mission is by far one of the most farmed I believe because of how easy it is compare to other quest with Time Patrollers (of course being the 3rd PQ you do, the quest better be easy!). To get the Time Patroller, you must first beat the elite members of the Z warriors! Did I say elite, I meant useless. Yes I am talking about everyone favorites Krillin, Tien and Yamcha. Yeah, super hard quest this one is. Once you manage to beat them (I like to just look at them and they fall over and faint, but that is just me), a gate will open, but if you look where the building is, at the doorway, there is a chance for a Time Patroller spawning there. If they do not spawn, restarting the level and keep going through this process will, sooner or later, spawn you a Time Patroller. Same goes for if this Time Patroller has no balls (Dragon Balls I mean), restart and keep beating them down!

PQ 5: Attack of the Saiyans

Oh noes, the Saiyans are attacking! Good thing you have Omega Shenron to take care of them! Oh, wait, that is right, you are farming Dragon Balls to maybe wish for him. Well then, let’s hope a Time Patroll spawns! You will need to beat Raditz in order to see if a Time Patroller spawns. Once you beat him, a gate will open, but if you look to the left of the gate on a (is that a cliff, I am going to call it a cliff) cliff that may, or may not, have a Time Patroller on it. Talk to him and beat them down and take his Dragon Ball!

Tip: Unless you are farming something that drops off of the Ultimate Finish (I think the soul does) do NOT beat the Saibamen on the Raditz and Nappa parts of this quest. It will make the quest longer then it has to if you are just going to the Dragon Ball.

PQ 7: Burst Open and Mix!

I do so love this Parallel Quest’s name, and this is the first Parallel Quest that has a Time Patroller as it’s Ultimate Finish! To try to get the Ultimate Finish isn’t too hard, just finish in 10 minutes. Almost any decently leveled character can finish this in no time at all. Each Stage you are able to go to has either Nappa, Raditz, or Vegeta with a variation of 2 Saibamen each. Beat them down like you did in quest 5 and head back to the beginning where you spawned in at and get ready to fight Vegeta’s Giant Monkey… Form (TFS reference ftw). Yes, Vegeta will turn into a Giant Ape, first one in Parallel Quest, beat him down and if you manage to finish in less than 10 minutes, you have a chance to start the Ultimate Finish part of this quest. A gate will open that will lead you to the Time Patroller. The “Scouter” Function (whatever it is called) will be your best friend as it will make it so much easier to find this hide-and-go gate. Once you find it, the Time Patroller will come and start to attack you (rude the other Time Patrollers up to this point atleast asked for a battle). Show no mercy to this Patroller and hope he has something nice for you!

Tip: I would not farm this mission unless you need a drop from it. It is quite long and if you do not get a Ultimate Finish, it will require you to walk back and start the mission over, same for if he doesn’t drop a Dragon Ball. I would skip over this quest for Dragon Ball hunting.

PQ 12: First Battle! Ginyu Force

So this is a thing! Missions like this are the ones most will farm for Dragon Balls since the Time Patroller spawns at the beginning of the level where there is no enemies to fight. Once you spawn in, start going straight for alittle ways. If you do not see a orange ! then just restart the mission. If you do, talk to them, beat them, and steal their stuff (going GTA on this mission)! Restart if they didn’t have want you want and keep doing this until you see that You Got a Key Item pop up, pat yourself on the back and then sigh because you still have to finish this whole mission. You will most likely end up Ultimate Finishing this quest as well depending on how well you do.

PQ 15: The Explosion of Namek

Very easy and simple mission. Your goal, beat 100% Power Frieza in 3 minutes while the planet is exploding around you. Seems simple enough. Do that thing that I said last sentence and bam! You get attacked by a Time Patroller again! Honestly, why do these Time Patroller’s want to fight you so badly, and they just show up and attack, again, rude. This is another Ultimate Finish Time Patroller fight, just beat Frieza and hope RNGesus loves you.

Tip: Unlike the first Ultimate Finish Time Patroller fight, this one is decent to farm. It is still RNG if the Time Patroller shows up, but a decently leveled character can finish this is around 10 to 30 seconds, which is better than fighting 9 enemies and then a Giant Ape with the other one just for chance for an Ultimate Finish.

PQ 18: Return of Ginyu Force!

This seems lazy as a quest, until you see Ginyu in Goku’s body going Super Saiyan, and then you are like, well, still most likely this is a lazy quest, but still cool! Just like PQ 12, the Time Patroller spawns in the first map, in the same place, where there are no enemies. Same concept here as others, no spawn, reset, spawn and no drop, reset, repeat until bored or you have a Dragon Ball. Only real difference between this one and PQ 12, is this one is harder, and the 2 sets of Ginyu Force members you fight are mixed up (Jeice and Recoome switch places) and you fight Ginyu in Goku’s body with the ablilty to go Super Saiyan.

PQ 19: Let’s Train

Yes! Let’s all start doing the “I love trains” thing! Oh, wrong kind of train, crap… Anyhow, this Time Patroller spawns in the first map where they are not any enemies, right beside the gate that goes to Goku and Gohan. At the start of the mission, look left and then down until you see the gate and if a Time Patroll is not there (might have to move a bit closer to the portal depending on settings) then restart the quest and keep trying. Honestly, rinse and repeat is a recurring element in farming just about everything in this game, why should farming balls be any difference? Once you have what you want, just go through the process of beating the rest of the quest.

Tip: If you are just farming the Dragon Balls, best thing to do is try to beat Gohan/Vegeta first to not have them transform. Doesn’t matter which one you beat first, but if 1 of them doesn’t transform, you will not get the ultimate finish.

PQ 22: Earth in Danger!

Earth?! Danger?! In Dragon Ball?! Why do I not care and why am I not suprised? This quest just takes you through, making you fight all the villians up to this point. This is also just like Attack of the Saiyans PQ 5, just, a bit more harder, and more fun. You will first have to beat Vegeta and then Nappa and Raditz will spawn. Get 1 of them low enough and Vegeta comes back, ready for more (by more, I mean more of you slapping him in the face). Once you beat them 3, a gate will open and, like PQ 5, the Time Patroller will spawn (still going to call it a cliff) on the cliff to the left of the gate. Lather, Rinse, Repeat until you have Happy Fun Cat purrfect hair and a Dragon Ball. Once you do that, keep going through and finish the mission.

Tip: If you are just Dragon Ball hunting, on the 2nd map, do not kill Frieza’s henchmen, just beat Frieza and allow them to run away. That way you do not have to Ultimate Finish this quest.

PQ 26: Warrior’s Annihilation – Future Chapters

Guess what we get to do? We get to fight the mighty Z-warrior Trio again, Krillin, Tien, and Yamcha, and guess what, they are, well honestly, a tad bit harder, but nothing you cannot handle! Laugh your way through their bodies and once the gate opens, time to see if the time patroller spawned! If you are looking at the gate, look down and right on the orange, brick floor that has the tunnel above it. Do you see a Time Patroller? No? Restart and start laughing again as you get to beat the crap out of the Trio again. Repeat until you get what you are looking for and then finish the quest.

PQ 37: Potara Warrior

This is why I HATE NPCs on your team when they HAVE TO LIVE! Long story very short, beat Piccolo, lower Gotenks’ health to the point he goes Super Saiyan, slap him again, and exit to the next map. Once you are outside, you get more breathing room as there are no direct enemies you have to fight, but there is a chance for a Time Patroller to spawn! Once you exit, look a bit to the left, next to the trees and there may or may not be a Time Patroller there. Beat them, and proceed accordingly (repeat, keep going, blah blah blah).

Tip: Unless you are going for drops, I would ignore this mission for farming. It is bad enough that Super Buu loves to eat Kamehameha’s from Goku and Gohan, but if he gets hit, he is like paper mache (then again, I solo everything just about so all I do is make it harder on myself). If he dies, that is GG.

PQ 42: Power of a Super Saiyan God

Honestly, mix feelings about this mission, more so if you are a solo PvE player. Some times, God Goku is a push over, just drops like a fly in the first map, other times he just bathes in your blood (you thought that red hair was God power? No, it is your blood from how much he will end up bathing in it!) Regardless, beat him in the first and second map and start looking for the Time Patroller. The Time Patroller spawns a bit to the left of the gate, on top of a rock fomation. Hard to miss unless you are looking for it. Go down, beat him, next verse same as the first, and then once you have the Dragon Ball, go through the gate and have a 50/50 chance of him starting his Super Kamehameha Wave.

Tip: Again, ignore unless you are farming for a drop. If you are farming for a drop that requires ultimate finish and you are barely able to get under the 3 minute mark for the Ultimate Finish anyways, might want to skip the Time Patroller anyways. Depending on what level and how the AI reacts, it will add anywhere between 5 to 50 seconds to your time.

PQ 52: Great Ape Festival

If you read my leveling guide before, you know that I highly recommend this PQ for leveling low characters. This quest is all about beating the Giant Monkeys (that sounds so wrong >.<) once you… Honestly, can’t thing of anything that won’t sound wrong, but once you complete this quest under 10 minutes, you will have a shot at the Ultimate Finish. The Ultimate Finish has you battling a Time Patroller that will spawn in once you go back to the Sky Map. Beat him and hope he drops a ball!

Tip: While I do love this quest for leveling, as for Dragon Ball hunting, it is random. There are times when I will get a Ultimate Finish 10 times out of 10 tries, and others where I would go 15 or 20 rounds and never see it proc an Ultimate Finish. This quest is completable at a decent speed if you follow my guide, but like PQ 15, it is all RNG at the end of the day if you will get a Time Patroller spawn or not.

PQ 55: Power Berserkers

This quest… I really hate this quest while soloing, it is just so unforgiving at times. You have to beat, what seems like an army, of Shadow Aura Characters, and they are all a pain to deal with. If you have to farm this for a drop, atleast I can tell you where the Time Patroller spawns at. In the second map, after you gone through this quest and have beaten Shadow Frieza, Ginyu, Cell, 17, 18, Hercule, Buu, Super Buu, Kid Buu, and Gotenks, you MIGHT have a shot at fighting the Time Patroller. He will spawn next to a rock in the second map, just look down at the ground as see if you can see him.

Tip: AVOID FARMING THIS FOR DRAGON BALLS! Honestly, it is not worth it, it takes decent amount of time to even get to the point where he will spawn and it is still not a 100% chance of a Time Patroller spawning in the first place. Only worry about farming this for Dragon Balls if you are already farming it to begin with.

(Note: In the screen shot you will see me on my Female Human, Ama, instead of my Male Human, Happy. This quest was such a pain to farm and get a screen shot I had to switch to my main just to get through it!)

PQ: Insidious Plot

I am not going to go into much on this atm, I will update this part this upcoming weekend, but there is a Time Patroller that will spawn and drop a Dragon Ball. Information about the fight can be found in my Guide to DLC Pack 2 under the New PQ section. Just know I do not recommend this for Dragon Ball farming. This mission is not super easy to complete and there may not even be a dragon ball drop in the first place.

Where should I farm?

As I said before, I would just farm maps that you still need drops from, that you are already farming, or whichever is easier for you. This guide was written to give you the information needed so you can decide on how you want to farm.

For my farming Dragon Balls, I jump to all of the maps. Farming 1 map over and over gets boring, and even if it takes me longer, atleast I am not fighting the same 3 derps trying to take someones ball.

Where you should farm is best left in your hands, but I still say farm places you are already farming anyways.

Guide Updates.

Update #1 4/16/15: Added PQ: Insidious Plot section to the guide.

Final Shine Thoughts!

This is my third guide that I have written as of right now. My other 2 guides are well recieved at this point, and I am enjoying giving you information about the game in a manner that is somewhat fun to read. Anyone can through down facts and information about stuff, but that seems so boring. I love doing this, and I want to keep on doing this. SO! If YOU have a guide for Dragon Ball: Xenoverse you would like me to write, go to my profile and leave it as a comment, chances are I will most likely do it, or if you have a question regarding a certain quest and how to complete it, leave that too and I will answer it. Once I get enough, I will post all of them into a guide of their own for all to see. With that said and done, again, check out Scarlet Vampire Queen’s Dragon Ball information guide, it is a great guide that gives you a list of all the quest the Dragon Balls can be obtain!

Also, if you have not already, check out my other guides here on Steam as well for Dragon Ball: Xenoverse!

With that said and done, <3 you all and hope you have a wonderful day! :3
