Game start tips
Equipment gathering In the beginning of a game there are some thing that you might want to do making you more productive on your next hunt. First thing first, have you and your team figure out who is gonna get each piece of equipment And always have one person grab objective items to reduce the amount of trips to and from the truck but always remember to carry a flashlight, I know it sounds stupid but make sure you prioritize grabbing a flashlight over any other item.
Other tips Another helpful thing you can do is to grab a photo camera and take a picture of the whiteboard in the truck, this will again minimize trips to the truck. The only down side is that you cant see which objectives have been done. That leads me to my next tip and that is to decide if someone stays in the truck to monitor cameras, motion sensors, sound sensors, and sanity. However this will limit the amount of objects your team can carry into the building so beware.

Tips for identification of the ghost
Easy to identify (INCLUDES ONLY GHOST THAT ARE EASY TO IDENTIFY)
The Poltergeist: For this ghost it is mostly easy to find as its the only ghost where you only need two pieces of evidence to identify, Ghost orbs and Fingerprints. you can also easily identify it by seeing how many objects the ghost is throwing and at what speed.
The Banshee: The banshee can be somewhat easy to identify but the only easier way to identify it is to have it hunt or trying to get it to hunt. If while hunting the ghost only goes for one person even when other people are around, then its a banshee. Another way to tell if its a banshee is what time it hunts, the banshee can technically hunt 20 seconds after entering the building so if it hunts really early on it a banshee. and the last way to identify if it is a banshee is if it hunts when you take away a crucifix, because the range on a crucifix increases from 3 meters to 5, so watch for your crucifix. placement
The Demon: demons can be easily identified if there is someone in the van watching sanity, if the ghost hunts frequently even if your sanity is really high, then its a demon. Or if using the ouija board and answer without a sanity drop then it is also a demon.
The Wraith: Wraith is very easy to identify, and all you need is salt. If the ghost walks through salt and doesn’t leave footprints then it a wraith. There is another way but you might die trying, if the ghost walks through a wall or a door then it is a wraith but by the time you realize you will already be dead.
The Phantom: The Phantom is harder to identify than the other ghost on this list as it require for someone to watch carefully and its as follows. If there is a manifestation of the ghost and your sanity drains while looking at it then its a phantom.
The Revenant: The Revenant is also easy to identify, but someone will have to die to find this out. If the ghost runs really fast or switches targets in the middle of a hunt then you will know, but someone will 100% die.
The Mare: If attacks when the lights are off and drains your sanity while lights are off then its a mare.
The Jinn: If it flickers lights alot the its a jinn, or if it runs fast until it catches up to you, then its also a jinn
The Shade If it doesn’t show it self or doesn’t respond to anything or anyone even if alone then its most likely a shade but this doesn’t mean its a shade it just means its most likely a shade
Overview
- Poltergeist only needs two pieces of evidence (fingerprints and ghost orbs) and throw things around alot
- Banshee will only hunt one person at a time and will almost never hunt when there is a crucifix nearby
- Demon will hunt more frequently and will not drain your sanity if a successful question is answered
- Wraith doesn’t leave foot prints and can walk through walls and doors
- Phantom will drain sanity if looked at
- Revenant runs fast and will 100% kill someone during a hunt
- Mare will only attack in the dark and will turn off the maps power source a bit
- Jinn flickers lights and runs fast until it catches up to you
- Shade is very shy and almost never hunts

Tips for hunts
VR PLAYER TIPS: If you are experiencing a hunt with no where to hide, just lay flat on the ground facing up-wards, beware that this doesn’t work if the ghost is a crawling type. If are experience a hunt but you dont want to lay flat then just hide under the teachers desk, you will still need to crouch down lower than usual but if you do it right not even a crawling ghost can get you.

What to do if a Revenant hunts: In the case that a Revenant hunts you almost have nothing to do but there are still two things you can do, but you need to have specific items for this to work.
First is to use smudge sticks near the Revenant, this will cause the Revenant to walk away from the smudge stick/ you which will give you enough time to find a place to hide this will also work if you throw the smudge stick on the ground. The second option is to just throw a crucifix at the ghosts feet, this trick also works with every kind of ghost as well.
What to do if a Wraith hunts: In the event that a wraith hunts and you can hide all you have to do is run, this will work because your are faster than the wraith but in the off chance you cant run or hide and you just so happen to have salt in you’r inventory then just place the salt in the Wraiths path, this will end the hunt instantly.
What to do if you cannot hide during a hunt: If you are unable to to hide during a hunt or you are too far away from a suitable hiding spot then you can outrun the ghost or walk the ghost around objects like the kitchen islands in Tanglewood and Ridgeview, The couches in Bleasedale, Ridgeview, Edgefield, and Grafton, or just anything you can make the ghost run around. (NOTE: IF DEALING WITH A REVENANT, THIS WILL NOT WORK IN ANY SCENARIO.)
Overview
- Vr players while laying down can not be killed unless the ghost is hunting
- Vr players can also make their way under tables, workbenches and desks becoming invincible
- Revenants can be repelled with smudge sticks
- Revenants can also be repelled by throwing the crucifix on the ground
- Wraith Can be outran by anyone but only while sprinting
- Wraith will instantly stop the hunt if it steps in salt
