Pikuniku All Achievements guide!

Overview

My list of three favorite things is as follows: Japanese words, achievements and video games. So when I heard that there was a video game with achievements that had a japanese name, I was instantly hooked! With all that yadda-yadda-yadda put aside, this is a guide on how to get all the achievements in Pikuniku. You know how this works, so let’s go!

Important Info

So, cutting to the chase, this guide will help you get all the achievements in Pikuniku, however it will also spoil you a bit of the game’s story and the pleasure of finding/getting them yourself.

That being said, please check BUG #5 and TROPHIES 11 and 12, as well as DANCING MACHINE and SUPREMATISM in the miscellaneous section, as missing these will require you to RESTART THE GAME in order to obtain them.

Now then, let’s begin.

Story-related

Aim For The Stars

Kick Mr. Sunshine into space

This one is the “Complete the story” achievement. You get it after you beat the game’s story.

Co-Op

You’re Not Helping

Kick your friends 50 times during a single level

Just beat your friend senseless. If you don’t have someone to play this game with, simply connect a controller to your pc and use controller or keyboard for each character.

Gotta Go Fast

Finish a coop level in less than 3 minutes

If you have a friend, this should be no biggy on levels like 1, 3 and 5. Yet, even if you’re alone, level 5 is absurdly easy.

Here’s how you do it: Learn the level playing normally once or twice. Once you’re acclamated, begin the level. You can move both characters into the buttons one at a time, and place the balls in the buttons one at a time as well. Then do the rest of the level and you should get less than 3 minutes easily.

Trophies

Collector

Found every trophy

This is one of the rarest achievements on the game, likely because of trophies 11 and 12, as they are missable. Also note that Trophy 12 appears before 11. Here’s a guide with images on how to get each and every one of them.

Trophy 0

It’s in the same cloud where the rock hides for the third time. To the right of the umbrella on top of the painter’s house.

Trophy 1

You unlock this one after finding the hidden rock 3 times. He’ll hide on the Sunshine Inc sign, on top of the windmill, and on the cloud where Trophy 0 is. The trophy spawns in front of his house.

Trophy 2

You get this one by beating the baskick champion once in a game of baskick. It’ll spawn on top of his house.

Trophy 3

You get this by smashing all of Sam’s potteries. (How dare you?!?!?) The trophy will spawn outside of his house. His house is in between The Forest and The village.

Trophy 4

Inside the Resistance’s base, on the room to the top right.

Trophy 5

Inside this hidden cave in The Forest, below where the squirrel is.

Trophy 6

You can enter Toastopia by going inside this house in The Forest.
After escaping Toastopia, for some reason, the trophy won’t spawn on top of the house you were in. Instead, it’ll spawn on top of this house to the right.

Trophy 7

After beating PikDug and getting the mine key, this tropy will spawn on top of the mine entrance.

Trophy 8

After acquiring the water hat, go all the way back to The Village, and then back to the entrance of the cave where you started the game. Keep climbing the mountain and water the plant on top to reach The Beach. Then, find this hidden cave, and the trophy will be inside.

Trophy 9

After meeting Mother, you’ll go through a pipe to save Ernie. Right outside of the pipe exit there is a hidden cave, where the trophy is.

Trophy 10

After saving Ernie, go back to the beggining of the mine. The trophy will be there.

Trophy 12

MISSABLE TROPHY! Inside Sunshine Inc, in the room with the 6 vents, go through this hidden passage. This trophy appears before Trophy 11.

Trophy 11

MISSABLE TROPHY! When you first see lasers inside of Sunshine Inc, you will straight away see the trophy at the top of the room. To get it, progress through the puzzle until you get to this switch.
After hitting it, this door will close, allowing you to get this trophy.

The next trophies are in co-op levels. You don’t need to finish the level for the trophy to count; as soon as you get it, you can exit the level.

Trophy 13

On Co-Op level 1, on top of the hook.

Trophy 14

On Co-Op level 2, after the section with the three buttons.

Trophy 15

On Co-Op level 4. Before going down after having opened the first door, fall through the right hole.

Trophy 16

On Co-Op level 8, to the left of the tower of balls.

Trophy 17

On Co-Op level 9, on top of where you see a tree.

Bugs

Right Under Your Foot

Found every insect

A not so rare achievement when compared to Collector. Probably out of sheer luck, as bug #5 is missable. Here’s a guide with images on where to find all 5 bugs.

Bug #1

Right below the starting cave.

Bug #2

On your way to The Forest, inside the blue structure. (Push the rock with the mushroom on top to the left to make it easier to get inside this room).

Bug #3

After beating the first robot and getting the water hat, beat the puzzle inside this cave.
Then, go up to the middle of the logs.

Bug #4

Right at the beggining of the mine.

Bug #5

MISSABLE BUG! After beating the puzzle in the room with the two prisoners, go inside this vent entrance.
Deactivate this switch, which closes the door at the very left of the image below.
Then go inside the vent immediately to the left of my character on this image.
The bug is here.

Miscellaneous

Clumsy Boy

No respect for Sam’s potteries

Pretty self-explanatory. Break all of Sam’s hardwork pots. (And then feel ashamed of yourself, you monster.) Doing this also unlocks Trophy 3.

Cresus

Collected 70 coins

This one shouldn’t give you much problem. Places with a lot of coins are: the clouds above The Village, the corn fields, the clouds on the path between The Forest and The Village, and the clouds above The Forest (Accessed through the flower shown below)

Toasted

Escaped from Toastopia

Toastopia can be entered through the house right to the left of Sunshine Club. Escaping Toastopia also unlocks Trophy 6.

I want to hold your hand

Get some arms

To unlock the arms, after getting the water hat, go inside this house at The Village and water the flower at the middle of the room.
After climbing the bean stalk and meeting the wizard, he asks for a Golden Tooth. You can get this tooth in the dungeon right below where Bug #4 is in The Forest.

The Winner Takes It All

3 baskick wins in a row

Self-explanatory. Shouldn’t take more than a few tries as the so-called “champion” is super dumb.

Bad Day

3 baskick loss in a row

Self-explanatory too. Try and help the champion to speed up the process.

Suprematism

Make an artistic statement

MISSABLE ACHIEVEMENT! When you get to design the face for the scarecrow inside the painter’s house, don’t draw anything.

Dancing Machine

100% against the dance king

MISSABLE ACHIEVEMENT! This one sounds harder than it is. You need to hit all the 110 notes of the song in a single combo (so you can’t button-mash to hit them all, as this ends the combo). To get this one, keep trying and, if you miss a note or end the combo, Alt+F4 out of the game and retry.

The Stubborn

999

The only one I’m currently missing… Not anymore thanks to Alayric! For this one, yes, you need to reach 999 points on the minigame. To access it, get the cartridge from the worm right after meeting Mother, and to play the game go to this house in The Forest.

As for tips on this one, I’ve got none. ONE! If you want to do this “legitimately”, you will need a TON of patience, as it takes roughly 20 minutes.

Here’s a video of Aemetta getting this achievement “legitimately”:

If you want an easy solution, you can use the method discovered by Alayric. It is possible to make the ball bounce into the wall in such a way that it enters a sort of “cycle” of bouncing into your head and back into the wall. The first time I got into one of those “cycles”, it went until I got to 252 points. The second time, it went all the way to 999 and looked like it would keep going too. This method takes between 10 and 15 minutes, as diagonal bounces are shorter than vertical bounces.

Here’s a video of Alayric getting this achievement with their method:

Conclusion

Thank you for reading this guide.
