1: Disable Windows Automatic Driver Updates (System)

Right-clîck the Start menu > System > Advanced system settings

System Properties > Device Installation Settings > Select “No” and save the changes

2: Disable Windows Automatic Driver Updates (Regedit)

Type “Registry Editor” into the Windows search bar and open the application

Then follow the steps below and apply them

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion > DriverSearching > SearchOrderConfig > Double clîck and change the value to 0 > OK

or downloâd[drive.google.com] and apply the registry entry automatically.

3: Downloâd and Install DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller)

Use the link below to downloâd[www.wagnardsoft.com] and install DDU on your computer. Do not run it yet! Not yet!

4: Downloâd Your Graphics Card Driver

Downloâd the first version of the driver released in December 2025 that is compatible with your graphics card model, but do not install it yet! Not yet!

NVIDIA Drivers[www.nvidia.com]: Select your graphics card model and search for drivers. In the search results, clîck the "View More Versions" button located directly below the search results.

AMD Drivers[www.amd.com]: Select your graphics card model and search for drivers. In the search results, clîck the "Previous Drivers" button located directly below the search results.

5: Boot the Computer in Safe Mode

Hold down the SHIFT key on your keyboard, then right-♥♥♥♥♥ the Start menu and select Shut down or sign out > Restart

6: Recovery Mode

In the menu that appears, follow these steps: Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > clîck to Restart

7: Startup Settings

In the menu that appears, you can use the “F1 - F9” keys to make your selection.

Press “F4” to enable Safe Mode and wait for the computer to restart.

8: Run DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller)

Run the DDU you previously downloaded and installed, and follow the steps below in order:

a) Select device type: GPU
b) Select model: Nvidia or AMD
c) Clîck “Clean and Restart” to begin the driver removal process. Your screen may go black during this process; this is completely normal. Once completed, your computer will restart automatically.

9: Install the Graphics Card Driver

Install the graphics card driver released in December 2025 as a clean installation.

Then restart your computer.

10: Verify Game Files

For Client users: clîck the wrench icon in the top left of the launcher progress bar. In the window that opens, clîck “Validate Game Assets” and wait for the verification to complete.

For Steam users: Library > Right-clîck on PlanetSide 2 and open Properties. Then go to Installed Files > clîck “Verify integrity of game files.”

11: Add to Windows Defender Firewall

Add certain exe files related to PlanetSide 2 to the firewall’s allowed list.

a) Control Panel > System and Security > Windows Defender Firewall > Allow an app or feature through Windows Defender Firewall
b) Clîck “Change settings” > “Allow another app” > Browse > Navigate to the folder where PlanetSide 2 is installed and select the files.

Files to allow: LaunchPad.exe, PlanetSide2_x64.exe, PlanetSide2_x64_BE.exe, CrashUploader.exe, wws_crashreport_uploader.exe, and BEService_x64.exe inside the BattlEye folder.

12: Launch the Game

If you have followed all the steps above in order and completely, you can now launch the game. Most likely, you will not experience any crashes.

This method completely resolved the issue for all of my friends. Only one friend reported that despite following all the steps, they experienced two crashes at certain intervals, but after the third attempt, they did not experience any further crashes.
