Welcome to a Prison Architect Basics Guide!First off … Prison Architect is a fun-based Architect’s game that even the lesser of creative People can have fun in building prisons.1. Accept all the grants on the grants menu ( Reports , Bottom Right ) this will grant you $80,000 to get you started…2. afterwards go on Prisoners ( also in reports ) and then close the normal slot and all the others , this will give you time to set up the prison.3. try building A kitchen first , the easiest to build. For this build a 50×30 Foundation ( Bottom Left ) , 10×5 is the kitchen , 40×25 is the canteen. , tables and serving tables are needed.4. next try to build a block of offices for the warden and other administrators.5. the jail cells are next , i make them 4×4 but 3×3 is better … more cells , less space.and a 45×45 foundation should be required for a space filled prison with LOTS of cells , build as much of these as you can to fit more prisoners.6. back to 5 , make that 45×52 just to fit showers at one end , it makes different cell blocks with Onsuite-like shower.7. unlock all of the Admins : e.g. Forman , Accountant , Lawyer , ect. ( via Bureaccuracy )8. now that the kitchen / canteen should be built , and the cells , we need a yard.9. in the yard there should be phone booths , Weight benches , and maybe pool tables for a bit more fun , make a building in the yard called “COMMON ROOM” , stick a TV in there and pool tables and your prisoners will be fine.10.
