About this Guide
This Guide is all about what is required in each room in the game Prison Architect. It also lists what is optional for those rooms which can improve the quality/ and or grading NOT aesthetics. This guide is pointed towards beginners.

Cell
Name: Cell
Description: Where your prisoners live.
Summary: The cell is where your prisoners will spend most of their time in your prison, sleeping, etc. Each prisoner SHOULD get their own cell and they can be customized.

(NOTE: Optional Additions for cell include all items that improve the cell grading.)
Holding Cell
Name: Holding Cell
Description: A room where new recruits are placed until a cell is found for them.
Summary: An overflow room incase you dont have anymore empty cells available for your prisoners.

Solitary
Name: Solitary
Description: An isolated form of imprisonment for the worst of the worst.
Summary: Used to punish prisoners for doing something against your prisons policies.
Room Requirements
- Enclosed (surrounded by walls and doors)
(NOTE: Solitary cells do not have a minimum size and can be created outdoors.)
Dormitory
Name: Dormitory
Description: A variable-size room for housing multiple prisoners. The bigger the dormitory, the more prisoners it can house.
Summary: A [Input Number Here] in 1 Cell.

- 1 Shower head per 4 Prisoners

- 1 Window per 4 Prisoners

Canteen
Name: Canteen
Description: Where your prisoners will have their afternoon tea.
Summary: Cafeteria for your prisoners, food served from prison kitchens.

Kitchen
Name: Kitchen
Description: Area for cooks to prepare food for your prisoners.
Summary: Chefs will cook food for your prisoners, and then bring it into the canteen a bit before the scheduled eating times.

Shower
Name: Shower
Description: Used to keep your prisoners squeaky clean, and lice free.
Summary: Where your prisoners can shower during specified time; satisfies their hygiene needs.

Yard
Name: Yard
Description: Let your prisoners see the sun for a few hours a day under the watchful eye of your sniper towers.
Summary:

Storage
Name: Storage
Description: Area designated to hold any materials your prison staff need.
Summary: Storage for spare objects and building materials like wires and pipes.

Deliveries
Name: Deliveries
Description: Where your goods, materials, and prisoners are dropped off.
Summary: Where your delivery trucks and prison bus’ drop off objects / materials and prisoners respectively

Garbage
Name: Garbage
Description: Where your waste is collected from.
Summary: Where cooks and workers drop off garbage, which gets picked up by outgoing trucks.

Execution
Name: Execution
Description: Where you send your prisoners to die.
Summary: Where you exectute your death-row prisoners

Name: Workshop
Description: Where you send your prisoners to die of boredom while making you car license plates.
Summary: Where prisoners can work once they complete a qualifying program, making beds and license plates which you can export for income.

Security
Name: Security
Description: Offices for your Officers.
Summary: Office for prison guards, can put CCTV monitors, Phone Taps, and Door Controls.
