General info
All 13 (except pale wing) decoy launcher characters are characters from Dream C Club, a date sim game from the same D3 publisher. These weapon are unlocked by purchasing DLC, there are 3 pieces of DLC. (link to DLC at the end of this guide)
Pure decoy use “cover” voice actor. For example: Amane, her original CV was “Ami Koshimizu” (Voiced Holo in Spice and Wolf, Matoi Ryuuko in Kill La Kill, Kallen in Code Geass) but in this DLC she is voiced by Minami Shinobu. Understandably, it is too overkill to hire famous CV for such task. With this reason I will omit voice actor for each character below.
Apparently, Minami Shinobu is part of 劇団ドリームクラブ (Gekidan Dream Club) which is official Idol unit by D3 to form a unit of real character from Dream C club. So you could say that she is covered by official voice actor. More information on Gekidan Dream Club[dreamclub-butai.jimdofree.com]. (Looks like the unit’s activity is already stopped in 2017)
Ranger set

When damaged: “Ecchi!” (Lewd!), She appears to wear red underwear
Amane is the “main heroine” of Dream C Club. She is very shy, but likes movies. She has long, dark pink hair with twin bows, pink eyes, and a medium-size bust.

When damaged: “Itai deshou!” (It hurts you know!), She appears to wear green bikini
Mio is an inventor from Kyoto. She has Dark green hair pulled up into a ponytail that is looped and held down with a barrette, has red glasses, and has brown eyes.

When damaged: She appears to wear yellow underwear
Setsu is the shortest of the hostgirls. She is moody and spoiled, and her behavior is overall childish. She likes to make sweets and has a day job as a pastry chef at a bakery. She has light brown / blonde hair pulled into a single ponytail, brown eyes, and a small bust.

When damaged: She appears to wear blue bikini
One of the hostgirls at Dream Club. She is a gravure idol who’s getting a big break. She has short, curly, light brown hair, green eyes, and a large bust. She has also been in many of D3 Publisher’s “Simple Series” games.
- She has THICC-est bust in entire series.
- Her uniform has tall side cut, pretty unique from all members.
- She has her own announcer voice replacement DLC in EDF Iron Rain.

When damaged: She appears to wear yellow bikini
Nao is a hostess at the club and is a tomboy. She has short brown hair and light brown eyes.

When damaged: She appears to wear white-blue underwear
Airi is a hostess and an android. She has dark blue hair that is shorter in the back with bangs and red eyes.

When damaged: She appears to wear orange bikini
Asuka is a professional beach volleyball player with long term strain on her left foot. She wont go to rehabilitation for her foot and it may end her career. She has tan skin and long purple hair tied into a ponytail and bangs with a chunk missing in the center, she also has green eyes.

When damaged: She appears to wear greenblue bikini
Not much is known about Nonono except for the fact that she came from the future. Nonono has light blue and green hair with green eyes.
When damaged: She appears swimsuit-like innerwear
The original linage of Wing Diver. This uniform appears to be from EDF2. FYI Pale Wing uniform in EDF3 has pleated skirt. She has no song, she seems to humming and do encourage speech. Her helmet cannot be removed even if damaged.

When damaged: She appears to wear dark blue bikini
Reika is a pro bowler. She has long blue hair, blue eyes, and a medium bust.
Song: 素直になれない (Sunao ni narenai) (Cant be honest)
When damaged: She appears to wear light blue yellow bikini
She can be fierce and angry at the protagonist if they do something stupid. She has twintails, blonde hair, and a medium size bust. In short she is a tsundere.

When damaged: She appears to wear red bikini
Rui is a teacher in the daytime. She has long, curly, light pink hair that falls to her waist, purple eyes, and a large bust. She is very kind, but can get embarrased very easily. Her hostess outfit has an open bust, pink ribbon, slits on the side of the dress, and she wears black pumps.

When damaged: She appears to wear purple underwear
Mari is a hostess, she’s called “Bloody Marilyn” due to her mysterious personality. She has long light purple hair with bangs and has her left eye covered with an eye patch.

Haruka Is a very wealthy girl with body guards. She has long blonde hair that is curled at the end, grey eyes, and a very small bust. She can be very angry when you do something stupid.

Yuu is actually dancer girl in Dream C, she is not hostess. Her song DragonLady is actually from Rinrin’s character song in Dream C GoGo which is newer generation presenting another set of host girls.

Eru is pair dancer girl in Dream C similar to Yuu. The song is Noko’s character song in Dream C GoGo.

The song appear to be from Mahjong Dream C club ending roll. (?)
Gameplay-wise + Comment
- Every decoy has very low health of 400 HP. Can deploy 3 pcs per clip. Has long reload time of 240 sec. (not an auto reload like turret, so you have to switch to that weapon to progress)
- (IMO) Difficult to use in strategic-wise on higher difficulty. Could combine with C70 bomb from ranger, but that still very situational use.
- Great for raising morale in online mode. Since Air Raider could bring 3 slots, if your team are good then you probably have 1 slot to spare for these :3 Even on inferno.
- Stick them on vehicle and drive them around.
- If you look carefully, decoy dance animation actually match the original game. That is some wasted dedicated effort put into making this DLC! Kudo Sandlot!
- Unfortunately, Dream C is never translated and released for international market. I would like to try too.
- EDF’s pale wing costume also made crossover to “OneeChanbara” “Dream C Gogo”, game under D3 publisher.
- Compare to 4.1 the pure launcher in 5 range had drop significantly due to lower initial velocity, may be all those “Special Module” for singing and dancing do weight a lot.
- They can actually stack on each other.
- In mission where you fight Erginus you can actually try baiting Erginus into C70s trap with this but it will take sometime since it jump around a bit until it noticed the waifu and try to b**** slap her which will exploded hard on it’s face. It hilarious trust me.
