A quick guide to your wanted experience for FFXV
Before buying!
If you have not bought the game yet, I highly suggest you try the benchmark first; It’s free too.

Graphics Card
Before you start, make sure you know your own graphics card model.
These are the most commone ones ATM:
Gtx 1000 series:
Gtx 1050 (low)
Gtx 1060 (low-mid)
Gtx 1070 (mid-high)
Gtx 1080 (mid-high)
Gtx 1050ti (low-mid)
Gtx 1070ti (mid-high)
Gtx 1080ti (high)
Titan series:
Titan X (high)
Titan Xp (high-Vh)
Titan V (very high)
Radeon Series:
Rx 480 (low-mid)
Rx 580 (mid)
Rx Vega 56 (mid-high)
Rx vega 64 (High)
To check, go to Device manager-> display adapters.
Note that you would require at least 4gb+ for every card, other wise just set it to low.
If your card is not included here, either its not suitable to play with or I missed it out
Ram
It can take up to 8GB! Ensure your system has a good amount of Ram (not Vram!)
Computer->Right click-> Installed Ram
Check if you have:
2GB (you cant play any game)
4GB (you can play this game with low memory allowance)
8GB (you can play this game with mid-high memory allowance, but you may have to close BG processes)
16GB+ (ur gud)
Presets
This is basically the best way to optimize your gameplay- take a look at the list above
If you card falls under low, take low
If it falls under low-mid, take average for 60fps or high for 30-40 fps
If it falls under mid, take high
If its above, you can even taking frekin 8k and it works
Custom Preset
Quite the guy wanting to use the custom setup huh? Its a good way to optimize your experience.
Lets look at some important settings
Check the RAM list above, and follow accordingly;
I’ve tried, and if you put it too high it may cause lots of problems
Basically makes the floor pop out or not;
Some fps drops, but if you use first person a lot this may be the way to go.
This is less noticable in FFXV compared to other games, however its impact only really truly shows when you go to city areas
Nvidia Gameworks
Nvidia-powered, may cause some huge hits to fps.
Turfworks
Makes the grass more realistic
Hairworks
Dosent really impact Protagonists, only animals much
The other two are less impactful, you should try them for yourself
Really, it will cause you huge issues until it’s patched.
