Rage Notes – Easter Eggs and Sewers.

Overview

RAGE NOTES1st – Wolfenstein Easter Egg – Ghost Hideout.Just after you have been killed and then revived by the defib’, kill all the bad guys on that floor and look for a large ‘flat screen TV’ against the wall just to the right of the balcony. Walk to the right hand side of the telly and activate a hidden door, enter and pick up gold chalice and sell. 2nd – Quake Easter Egg – Wasted Garage.First to trigger is a red button located under a ‘night stand’, which is found past ‘Danger No Smoking sign’ past the two sinks then past the fire barrel and fridge in room next to cable drum. 2nd trigger up stairs past tool boxes to room with ‘file cabinets’ on their side, button is at the bottom of the cabinet next to window. 3rd trigger, head towards stairs leading to next floor. Turn right into corridor and up the stairs; look for the ‘red tool box’ at end of room and hit the red button located behind. Then go back down one floor to a ‘stop sign’ and turn into hallway and down to a ‘Quake’ sign on the wall. Look up the stairs past all the pallets and move up to activate. Go in and pick up the object that you can sell.3rd – Doom Easter Egg – Gearhead Vault.Once you have killed the two big bad guys in the offices you will find a number of computer terminals in several offices close by. The ones will ‘Keyboards’ laying flat on the desk can be activated. There are 7 to do. Finish the level and just before you exit ‘Gearhead Vault’, there is a drum on fire left of the exit and in front of another door. This door can now be activated and entered by jumping up and you can go in and collect a ‘Doom Bobblehead’ which can also be sold.4th – Developers Easter Egg – Abandoned Distillery.Go down past the old conveyor belt and a Mutant will jump down and go through the floor below you. Follow it down and kill mutants as they attack you. Down on the lowest level you find a ladder around to the left going even further down. Move around to the left until you find collectables and a mattress. Jump onto the mattress and activate the valve. You will hear a door opening, so go back up the ladder and look for a lit entrance close to the floor to your right. You should be able to see the ’id’ logo inside. Crouch down and go in, there are no rewards but just check out the graffiti before finishing the level.5th – Abandoned Distillery Second Visit, Liquor Thief. Once completed go to desk with computer and touch each side of the monitor, a ‘blue flash’ will occur which doesn’t appear to do anything. Exit the distillery but re-enter immediately. When you get to where you normally kill your first mutant, look to the right and you will see that a door has now opened which you can enter and collect items. You must however now continue right through the distillery to exit, but you won’t come across any more mutants.SEWER LOCATIONS.There are 9 sewer locations that can all be visited twice, (in fact as many times as you like to pick up a few extra dollars). First time as you find them, then from job boards (located in Wellsprings and Subwaytown) which ask you to go back and re do them for money. The job boards will not have them listed if you have not been there once already. Keep doing all of the available jobs to build up you cash in all locations. The first mission ‘Ghost Hideout’ is right past the ark location where you started so do the ‘Ark Sewer’ on the way back to see Dan.Then Next mission is for Richter to repair his radio tower, the next sewer is adjacent to the entrance to the radio tower area. (And don’t forget the feltrite up past Richters camp entrance). Don’t sell any Feltrite as a guy (Jacob) at the ‘Second Chance’ bar in Wellsprings will trade you for an extra ‘Defib Upgrade’ for 20 feltrite crystals. You should collect at least 50 plus in total around the place. You will have to keep checking with him in the bar as he won’t offer it to you until after several missions have been completed, (including first upgrade at Dead City). Also after leaving Richters camp go up to see ‘Crazy Joe’ at his camp and collect flowers and other goodies hidden in the swamp. You can sell these to two old guys (Richard) in Wellsprings and (Norbu) in Subwaytown for good money so save them up.There are 2 sewers just outside Wellsprings that should be done as soon as you can with one right near the entrance to the town and one down near the start of the freeway ramp. With all sewers make sure you park your vehicle near the second sewer exit trapdoor, (they all have 2 and it is the one you can’t open). It makes for a much safer exit to your vehicle. The next sewer is right beside the red flashing mailbox just near the ‘Dead City’ entrance and can be done any time you are in the area.Do the 2 up past Dr Kavisr’s place and heading towards the prison (Just past the Sheriffs man and on the right). The first one has a really big mutant that can be a bit of a handful and he appears along with a hell of a lot of small guys straight up. (Look out)! There are 2 ways to get through this relatively easily, (even on ‘Ultra Nightmare’). First you will need a good supply of ‘Fat Mammas’, ‘Shotgun Shells’ and also at least one ‘Sentry Bot’ machine gun. As soon as you get down the ladder from the entrance set up your sentry bot (not a turret) and let him start to kill the small mutants. If you look down the sewer you will see the big guy start to move towards you. Wait till he is about half way and take off past him. Go as fast as you can and turn into the area on the left. Run up the stairs, turn around and wait. Small ‘Muties’ will come in after you but if you stay in the hallway you can kill them one by one (especially in Anarchy Edition) with your fists as they have the blades on the gloves. The big dude will follow them but he can’t get in the hallway, so once all the small guys are dead move slowly towards him for a better view. (Now would be a good time to save game). Get your settlers gun ready with ‘Fat Mammas’ and hit him with head shots and about 6 – 8 should kill him. Once dead don’t forget to go back out and collect goodies from the floor areas and any bodies lying around. Continue on and complete mission.Second way to do the job is to complete the adjacent sewer first. Reason being that when you are about to exit the sewer you will find a ‘Rocket Launcher’ on the left hand side of the platform just outside the exit door. (Be aware that you only receive 4 free rockets at this stage), although sufficient number to kill the big mutant mentioned above you will have to accurately place all your shots, (not easy when you are being attacked from all sides). You can pick up (steal) ‘Bobbleheads’ to sell from the Mayors desk in ‘Wellsprings’ and Redstones desk in Subwaytown. The next sewer is at Subwaytown just outside the entrance and the last is out of Subwaytown out in the ‘Shipyards’.Make sure you have plenty of rockets on hand before going to the Dead City for your defib upgrade where you will need to use them on three occasions. Also stock up before going to ‘Mutant Bash TV’ as you will need it to finish of the big mutant on the 5th level of the show. Be sure to hit him often and quickly move around if you can. Use your sentry bots and turrets where you can.
