This is a guide on how to solo Pyro Pete the Invincible on op8 with any class
Introduction-Why to farm Pyro Pete
Note: This Guide has bee updated
Pyro Pete is arguably the easiest raid boss in the game (Other than Zero b0ring hyperius).
Why should you farm Pyro Pete?
-1) Since Pete is the easiest seraph guardian ( compared to Voracidious, Master Gee, Hyperius, Dragons), he is the best source of obtaining seraph crystals
-2) He can drop legendary specific class mods (Ex: Legendary Siren)
-3) He has a small chance to drop other random legendaries (Ex: baby maker)
-4) He has a decent seraph drops (the big boom blaster, hoplite and O-negative grenades)
-5) Having defeated Pete, you will be rewarded with 2 red chests near the exit.
Note: seraph Crystals are only dropped in Ultimate Vault hunter mode
Recommended gear
It is Important to note that Pyro Pete resists fire and corrosive damage.
You can either use shock or non-elemental weapons
-1) Trespasser (Not a must but makes this boss fight much easier). While Pyro Pete has his helmet on, he will not take any critical hit damage. You can use the Trespasser to knock off his helmet. With his Helmet off, Pete will take critical hit damage

-2) Shock Sandhawk (Great for Maya and axton). If u do not have a sandhawk, you can use the tattler. If you don’t have great gear, you can use the shock plasma caster (random drop) or the actualizer (found in seraph vendor in oasis)
-3) Shock Lyuda or Shock Pimpernel (This is for Zero). Zero can do massive damage with sniper rifles to Pyro Pete once Pete’s helmet is off
-4) double penetrating unkempt harold (For Salvador)
-5) The bee shield. This is for some amp damage. Additionally, if you have fire and alkaline bee’s, it will make the boss fight much easier.
-6) Shock Norfleet combined with fibber for Gaige
-7) The Rapier. If you are playing as Krieg, you can beat Pyro Pete with bloodsplosion fairly easily. Melee a spiderant or a Rat in the arena. The excess damage will do Pyro Pete massive damage.
-8) Grog Nozzle for healing and slagging pete. Unlike other raid bosses, it is very easy to slag Pete. He also stays slagged.
New: -9) If you have removed Pete’s helmet, you can use the Lady Fist with the bee shield also.
New: I would not use the Ogre with axton. The Ogre has a small critical hit effect. It is better to remove Pete’s helmet with the Trespasser. You can use the shock Refill Avenger, Lady Fist and bee shield for massive damage
The battle itself
The main thing to watch out for when battling Pyro Pete are his nova attacks.
While Pete has his shield on, he will only do singular novas (corrosive…fire…corrosive….fire. This cycle continues until his shield depletes. You can bring both fire resistant and alkaline resistant shields. Switch to the appropriate shield that corresponds to the cycle.
Are there warning signs for the nova attacks? Yes
When you see Pyro Pete’s arms shaking and hear a sound, he will do a nova attack. It is imperative that you hide from his nova attacks as they will put a damage over time on you. If you get hit by a nova, you can wash off the nova near the pipes.
Note: While you open the valve, the creatures level up every time. Therefore, it is best to open the valves only as a last resort and hide as much as possible.
Note: when Pete’s shield is depleted, he will do a double nova. Therefore, he releases both fire and acid novas which will put a damage over times on you. No shield will protect against this phase.

What to do with your seraph crystals
You can use your serpah crystals to buy certain items from the seraph vendors.
Note: In UVHM, you can only buy certain items from seraph vendors. Example, you cannot buy the interfacer. You can only get it from Voracidious the Invincible.
These are the seraph items that I found were very helpful for me in UVHM:
-1) The Actualizer (Vendor is in oasis) . While this weapon is not the best smg in the game, it is still strong . It is especially good on maya
-2) Meteor Shower (Mr. Torgue dlc Vendor): very powerful explosive greande mod. Very good on axton
-3) The Antagonist shield (Flame Rock refuge Vendor). Works well with all classes except melee
-4) The Lead storm (Hunter’s Grotto Vendor)
-5) The Crossfire: fairly strong grenade.
-6) The Forentine (Flame Rock refuge Vendor)
-7) Shadow of the Seraphs: This relic increases the chance of extra ammo shot.
-8) Pun-chee shield. This is a poor man’s hide of terramorphous
-9) The Sponge Shield. If you do not have the sham shield, this is a great alternative
