Overview
A method towards gaining agility, survivor, combat and legend all at the same time!
Introduction
This guide will display one of the many ways of gaining a large quantity of agility experience during a singular night. This can be done as many times as wanted until results of level 24 agility is achieved.
Skills
Firstly you need to have gained the sliding skill in the agility skill tree, this is necessary for this ‘grinding’ method to work. The slide skill can be obtained as early as agility level 3 thus meaning this method can be near to the start of the game.
Location
This method can be done all across the map, but the sewer tunnel that I choose is this one displayed by the marker on my map.
This is due to the fact that there is a safehouse close by to the pipe, so once night time ends you can simply sleep and go back again, little running around at night time.
Method
Simply go to the entrance of the sewer tunnel and sprint through it. Mashing the crouch key rapidly while running through it will cause Crane to start sliding, granting 20xp (day) or 40xp (night) or any higher amounts. This is why night is more preferable mainly due to the higher xp per slide.
If Crane runs out of stamina simply wait for a second and then continue on. While in this sewer tunnel you are relatively safe as no volatiles or virals will enter the sewer drain. But if the player leaves the drain there is a chance a volatile will be standing outside, causing it to become hositle. Again this is why this is an optiomal spot as you have close access to a safezone.
Be warned after the night ends, 2 – 3 virals will come to attack you, but this is only a small problem simply fixed by killing them and or running into the near by safezone and sleeping until night.
Combat Exp
My method of farming combat exp is sort of late game, you need to have access to Old Town. This is where zombies are highly concentrated in small areas.
To farm exp this is where I do it, due to the scripted air drop mass amounts of zombies will spawn around it.
The method isnt unlimited as you need ingredients to craft certain items but these are easy to find with a little bit of searching.
The items you’re going to need to craft are:
Firecrackers
Flares
Large area damage throwable, eg molotovs or grenades. (I prefer molotovs)
One you’re at the location marked above you should be able to see the air drop in the middle of the court yard. DONT OPEN IT
Stand on the light post as shown below
Throw firecrackers into a large gathering to attract them all into a tigher space, like so.
Once a large amount of zombies has gathered, throw a molotov or grenade to kill them.
From a singular molotov and two firecrackers I managed to gain over 1500 combat exp. But you can double this at night time, this is where flares come in handy.
If you’re being spotted by a volotile, simply throw a flare at your feet, that should keep him away.
Once you have killed all the zombies in the area, leave, sleep and come back and repeat.
Hope this helps.
Bonus
If one is successful of running to the sewer tunnel from the nearby safezone without being detected at all, once night ends you will be granted the ‘Unnoticed’ nighttime rank. This grants the player with 17-20k survior points depending on level, so this method could also potentially gather large quantities of survivor xp.
Once you have your agility skill leveled to 24 you unlock the Legend skill tree. Agility points will now count towards the Legend skill tree instead, this means this method is still a viable way of earning exp after reaching level 24 agility.
