Overview
This guide will help you to finish the game.
Introduction
I saw that there is no walkthrough for this game yet. I know that there are two achievement guides already, but I decided to make a walkthrough anyway in case someone needs help, especially regarding the speedrun achievements.
First Things First
Here’s some tips to tackle the game:
– Use all stat boosting items on Celesta (the girl)
– You can sell Passion Elixirs to buy end-game gear easily.
– Don’t bother buying the cheaper equipment (especially Sage Staff since you’ll get it in the third dungeon)
– Create a Lunchbox and use it to heal before a boss battle
– Don’t bother healing your mp outside the battle. It’ll always be 3MP before you start the battle.
– It’s up to you whether you want to kill all enemies or not, but I suggest you to kill all enemies at least once if you want to get the level 10 achievement.
– Save often.
You can get the speedrun achievement in your first playthrough. Just make sure you save a lot and if you care about the story, save before a cutscene and load the save after you finish reading them properly. After that, press s button to skip all the cutscene again. A cutscene usually will appear after you flip a switch, finish a boss fight, or read a journal (the sparkling things).
Just save often and you’ll be fine. I recommend you to make a separate save file after you finish each dungeon so you can load your save from a previous checkpoint if you don’t think you can make it. I also placed my timestamp in the walkthrough to make it easier.
The Prison Cell
Venom Bat is weak to Fire.
Cruel Fairy is weak to Thunder.
Violent Rodent is weak to Fire.
Head south until you reach your first battle. Head east when you reach an intersection and open both chests to get Healing Liquid and Vial of Prayers. Return to the previous intersection and head to the south exit.
Return to the previous intersection after Melchior joins your party. Head west and jump over the gap to flip the switch. Return to the area where you meet Melchior. There’s nothing in the west room so head to the east room instead. Inspect the skeleton to get some info about Sentinel (Beware Sentinel). Head south to get another scripted battle. Inspect the sparkling sign south of it.
Head west in the next room to reach a chest containing Redemption Candle. There’s another chest to the far east containing Thunder Card, another chest containing Healing Liquid to the south, and another one containing Vial of Prayers to the southwest path. There’s nothing in the west except a sign with a clue to the east exit so head to the far east instead to save time.
Stand in the yellow tile and cast Magical Keys from the Girl’s Innate Spell list. Head to the next room to reach a Creation Circle. Craft some Healing Liquids if you want and heal your party members because you’ll have a boss fight after this. Equip the Thunder Card you just get in the previous room to Celesta if you haven’t already.
Boss: Lesser Demon
The boss hits hard. Spam Arcane Force + Thunder and heal whenever necessary. The fight will end after the boss HP is reduced to half.
Head to the next room and open the chest to get Heal Card. Equip it to Melchior. The next room is a bit huge but you can’t do anything yet except to go to the south exit. Get ready for another boss fight.
Boss: Lesser Demon
You can use the same strategy as before (Arcane Force + Thunder). You also can cast Heal whenever Celesta runs out of MP to cast Thunder. Heal whenever necessary.
Return to the huge room you passed previously and use the stairs near the bed sign (the left one).
Inspect the book (Spell Fusion) and the scroll near the bed (Doctor’s Notes). You can use the bed to recover your HP.
Head upstairs and use the stairs near the pentagram sign (the right one). Inspect the book (Soulsmithing. There also a Creation Circle nearby if you want to craft anything. Head upstairs after you done.
The west door will be opened after you defeat the previous boss. Head west from the bed sign and you’ll reach in a forest-like room. Make sure to save before you walk to the circle in the center of the room since you won’t be able to return to this area.

The First Room
Violent Rodent is weak to Fire.
Venom Bat is weak to Fire.
Bio Hornet is weak to Fire and Ice.
Cruel Fairy is weak to Thunder.
Abnormal Lout is weak to Thunder.
Tenacious Imp is weak to Thunder and Ice.
Fire Eater is weak to Ice and resists Fire.
Twisted Sentry is weak to Ice.
Writhing Sentry is weak to Ice and resists Thunder.
There’s a chest containing Redemption Candle if you go downstairs. There’s also another chest containing Lunchbox to the north of you after you go upstairs. You can’t head to the northwest exit yet because of a barrier blocking your way so head to the northeast exit for now.
Flip the switch and you’ll get a journal (Journal 1). Exit the room and head to the northwest exit. The next room is straightforward so follow the path until the next room.
Head south in the first intersection to reach a chest containing Apple of Consitution. Return to the previous intersection and head west to reach a chest containing Vial of Prayers before heading south. There’s another chest containing Soul Container to the west before the south exit.
Head south and open the chest to get Magic Seeds. The main path is to the west so head to the east exit first to open two chests containing Vitality Ambrosia and Apple of Constitution. Return to the previous room and head to the west exit.
Open the nearby chest to get Redemption Candle. There’s another chest after you cross the bridge that has Ice Card in it. Equip it to Celesta. Ignore the east path for now and head to the south exit.
Head south to reach a chest containing Vitality Ambrosia. There’s another chest with Fire Card inside of it to the south of you. Equip it to Melchior. Head to the northwest exit.
Follow the path until you reach a gap. Inspect the gap so that Melchior can jump over it. The enemy in this area is strong, so make sure you save if you want to take it down. Enter the cave, inspect the rubble to get another journal (Journal 2), and flip the switch. Return to the area where you get an Ice Card and keep on heading east to reach a chest containing Defense Salve. Head to the south exit.
Inspect the glittering thing near Creation Circle for a journal (Journal 3). Get ready for your next boss fight.
Boss: Unholy Geomancer
The boss is weak to Fire. She can cast Fire Shield that will allow her to resist Fire spells. Use Melchior’s Mana Break + Fire spell when that happens and use Melchior’s Arcane Force + Fire spell for the other turns. Don’t forget to use Celesta’s Arcane Pulse + Heal combo whenever Celesta’s and Melchior’s HP are below 50%.
Head north to return to the palace area.

The Second Room
Head upstairs, rest up, and get ready to go to the next area. The next area is to the northwest.
Wicked Puppet is weak to Fire and resists Ice.
Resistant Wraith resists Fire, Thunder and Ice.
Tenacious Imp is weak to Thunder and Ice.
Menace Skeleton is weak to Fire.
Writhing Sentry is weak to Ice and resists Thunder.
Scorpion Executioner resists Fire and Ice.
Bio Hornet is weak to Fire and Ice.
Freezing Slime is weak to Fire and resists Ice.
Fire Eater is weak to Ice and resists Fire.
Head to the northwest exit. Inspect the glittering thing to read a journal (Journal 4). Inspect both chests to get Passion Elixir and Defense Salve. Return to the previous area and head to the northeast exit.
Head downstairs. There are 3 exits that you can go here: northeast, northwest, and south (accessible from the southeast). Head to the northwest first.
Head north and inspect the chest to get Ice Card. Equip it to Melchior. Ignore the other parts of the room right now and head to the northwest exit. Inspect the glittering thing to get a journal (Crestfallen Note). Open both chests to get Heal Card and 3 Healing Liquids. Return to the previous room and head southeast until you see 4 coffins.
Use Celesta’s Magical Keys to light the torches. Return to the area with the big skeletons and follow the south path to reach a chest containing Soul Gem. Proceed to the east exit before going to the northwest exit in the next room.
Head east to reach a chest containing Apple of Constitution. Enter the cave to the north and keep on heading east to reach a chest containing Soul Container. There’s another cave to the north. Enter it and use Celesta’s Magical Keys on the yellow tile.
Return to the previous room and head to the southwest corner to find a journal (Journal 5). Head north, east, south, and then east to find another yellow tile. Use Celesta’s Magical Keys on it. There’s nothing more you can do here so exit the area from the south exit. If you don’t notice it already, it’s located south from the 2 ice shards that are next to each other in this area.
Head west and enter the cave. You’ll reach the room that you entered previously. Keep on heading north and head east before you head downstairs to reach a chest containing Vitality Ambrosia. There’s a Creation Circle and a boss fight in the next room so make sure you’re ready.
Boss: Icy Death/Fiery Death
Icy Death is weak to Fire and resists Ice. Fiery Death is weak to Ice and resists Fire. This boss is easy compared to the previous one. Use Mana Break + Fire spell combo before spamming it with Arcane Force + Fire spell.The boss will change to Fiery Death after its HP is almost 50%. Use the same strategy as Icy Death but combo your spell with Ice instead of Fire. Use Celesta’s Arcane Pulse + Heal combo to heal whenever needed. If Celesta can use Status Stab, you also can do Status Stab + Ice / Fire in between if you don’t need healing.
Open both chests to get Magic Seeds and Soul Container. Head downstairs and inspect the sign. Leave the area.

The Third Room
Head to the place where you first wake up. You can quickly go through the area if you choose yes when the game prompts you. Return back to the palace area afterwards. Heal up and head to the northeast exit when you’re ready.

Freezing Slime is weak to Fire and resists Ice.
Bone Assailant is weak to Fire.
Protective Ichneumon is weak to Fire and resists Ice.
Wicked Puppet is weak to Fire and resists Ice.
Fire Fiend is weak to Ice and resists Fire.
Resistant Wraith is weak to Light and resists Fire, Thunder, Ice, and Dark.
Blood Maiden is weak to Thunder and resists Fire.
Midnight Crawler is weak to Fire and Light and resists Ice, Thunder, and Dark.
Hellhound is weak to Ice and resists Fire and Dark.
Radiant Mask is weak to Dark.
Ice Fiend is weak to Fire and resists Ice.
Scorpion Executioner resists Fire and Ice.
Stone Devil is weak to Ice and resists Dark.
Vengeful Merman is weak to Thunder and resists Fire and Ice.
Twisted Sentry is weak to Ice.
Flip the switch and head northeast to reach a chest containing Dark Card. Equip it to Celesta. Flip the switch again and head northwest. Enter the northwest room to reach a chest containing Passion Elixir. Return to the previous room and head to the northeast room. Flip the switch.
Follow the path to reach the northwest room you previously entered. There’s a note near the skeleton on the southwest corner (Prisoner’s Note). Head to the south exit. The room in the west should be unlocked by now. Enter it.
Head west to reach a chest containing Apple of Constitution. Head to the northwest area to reach another chest containing Sage Staff. Equip it. There are two more chests in this room and you can reach them by going north, then east when you reach a bridge. Open both chests to get Redemption Candle and Soul Gem. Head northwest to the next room.
The path in this room is branched to the north and east. The east path is longer but there’s an enemy that might be hard to escape from in the north path so make sure you save beforehand if you don’t want to kill it. Head to the north exit after you’re done.
Head east and the path will branch into two paths. There’s a puzzle in the northwest path. You need to flip all switches in the area so that you can access the yellow tile in the northeast area.
Solution: Flip the bottom switch. Two switches should be flipped this way. From here on, keep on heading north, flipping the middle of three switches on the way so that three switches will be flipped at the same time until you reach the upper switch. There should be two switches left at this point so flip the upper switch to solve the puzzle.
You’ll get a scripted battle after you solve the puzzle. It shouldn’t be a problem if you have full HP and the Thunder card equipped though. Head to the northeast area and use Celesta’s Magical Keys on the yellow tile. Return to the area with the torches to the west and keep on heading north to the next room.
This room is pretty straightforward since most of the doors are locked. Follow the path to the east after you reach an intersection until you reach a stairs. Open the chest you passed on the way to get Light Card. Equip it to Melchior. Head upstairs.
Mana Master
Command the power of all elements.
Inspect the skeleton nearby to read a journal. Head upstairs and follow the path until you reach a switch. Flip the switch and head upstairs. We have some exploration to do.
Head east to reach two chests containing Soul Gem and Defense Salve. Head to the west until you reach a dead end and head north to find a journal (Journal 6). You should have found all journals by now.
Scholar
Uncover all traces of humanity that once walked these nightmarish halls.
Head to the north exit by going east, then north. If you haven’t create anything except Lunchboxes, kill all enemies, and destroy both Soul Gems and Soul Containers you have, you should have enough Souls to craft ultimate weapon by now. Buy and equip the weapons and head north for your next boss fight.
Boss: Radiant Beast
The boss is weak to Dark and resists Light. Defend when the boss says that he’s using Light Energy. I find that the boss is always using it on the third turn. Guard in the first turn, Use Melchior to heal whoever got hit in the first turn, and then use Shadow Edge to hit the boss.Use Arcane Pulse + Heal to heal the party after the boss uses his ultimate attack. From here on, keep on doing either Arcane Pulse + Heal or Shadow Edge + Heal until the boss hit Melchior (not with Saint’s Force attack though, just heal yourself if you get that).
Use Mana Break + Dark spell and use Arcane Force + Dark spell if the boss HP is around half. You can stick to the usual strategy until that happens.
Return to the palace area, heal up, and head to the east room when you’re ready.

The Fourth Room
Nightmare Crawler is weak to Fire and Light and resists Ice, Thunder, and Dark.
Thunder Fiend is weak to Dark and resists Thunder.
Protective Ichneumon is weak to Fire and resists Ice.
Vengeful Merman is weak to Thunder and resists Fire and Ice.
Resistant Wraith is weak to Light and resists Fire, Thunder, Ice, and Dark.
Fear Revenant is weak to Light and resists Fire, Thunder, Ice, and Dark.
Inhuman Brawler is weak to Thunder.
Abhorrent Crawler is weak to Fire and Light and resists Ice, Thunder, and Dark.
Inversion Knight is weak to Light and resists Dark.
Stone Devil is weak to Ice and Light and resists Dark.
Bone Assailant is weak to Fire and Light.
Fire Fiend is weak to Ice and resists Fire.
Ice Fiend is weak to Fire and resists Ice.
Congrats! You can’t escape from most battles in this area. You need to head to both northwest and northeast corner and use Celesta’s Magical Keys to proceed. Head north to the next room after you done.
There’s a chest containing Redemption Candle to the southwest. Head north to find a gap that Melchior can jump in to reach 3 chests containing Apple of Constitution and 2 Magic Seeds. Make sure to equip Light Card and Heal Card with him though because he needs to fight a Fear Revenant to reach it.
The map seems to be mirrored so you can explore the southeast corner to get another chest containing Vitality Ambrosia. There’s another gap to the north that has 3 chests containing 2 Soul Gems and Soul Crystal. It’s guarded by Inversion Knight though and I can’t seem to beat it without using items. Use Vitality Ambrosia to beat it and make sure that Melchior has Light Card with him.
Head to the north exit by following the northwest path. You might want to equip Light Card to Celesta in one of the battles with Inversion Knight to make it easier.
There’s a Creation Crystal in the next room. You should be able to buy one armor if you fought all enemies and opened all chests. Craft Goddess Robe and equip it to Celesta. You also can craft Lord’s Plate if you destroy the Passion Elixirs.
There’s an enemy that you must beat before proceeding to the boss in this area. Head north afterwards to fight it.
Boss: Traitor Wisp, Void Devourer, Barrier Cadaver
Traitor Wisp is weak to Dark and resists to Light.
Void Devourer is weak to Light and resists to Dark.
Barrier Cadaver is weak to Fire and Light and resists to Dark.Traitor Wisp heals the party, Void Devourer damages you, and Barrier Cadaver buffs the party. Both Traitor Wisp and Barrier Cadaver doesn’t have much HP though. Kill Barrier Cadaver first, then Traitor Wisp.
After the boss is alone, use Celesta’s Triad Boost + Light spell to finish the fight. If you equip the Light spell to Celesta, you can use the usual combo of Mana Break + Light spell and use Arcane Force + Light spell as well. Heal with Arcane Pulse + Heal combo whenever necessary.

The Final Room
Inhuman Brawler is weak to Thunder.
Devil Bat is weak to Fire.
Inversion Knight is weak to Light and resists Dark.
Abhorrent Crawler is weak to Fire and Light and resists Ice, Thunder, and Dark.
Radiant Mask is weak to Dark.
Resistant Wraith is weak to Light and resists Fire, Thunder, Ice, and Dark.
Fear Revenant is weak to Light and resists Fire, Thunder, Ice, and Dark.
Blood Maiden is weak to Thunder and resists Fire.
I recommend you to NOT kill any enemies in this area. You need both Celesta and Melchior at level 10 to get Archmage achievement and obtaining any exp in this area risk you from getting that achievement. You have been warned.
There’s nothing to the west so follow the east path and head east, then north in the intersection to reach a chest containing Vitality Ambrosia. Return to the previous intersection and head west, then south and follow the west path to reach a chest containing Soul Crystal. Head south, west, then south to reach a Creation Crystal. Get ready for a boss fight.
Boss: The Sentinel
It doesn’t seem to have any weakness and resistance but you just need to spam it with spells to kill it.
Exit the room through the portal to return to the area with the crystals. Save the game since the ending will branch into several paths.

The Choice
– The Third Ending
The third ending is achieved by going to the exit to the north. Head south after you can control your character.
Freedom
Through the sacrifice of your partner, you can finally walk free.
– The Second and First Ending
As for the second and first ending, return to the place where you woke up for the first time. Return to the palace.
Protective Ichneumon is weak to Fire and resists Ice.
Fae Enchantress is weak to Thunder.
Cruel Fairy is weak to Thunder.
Killer Imp is weak to Ice and Light and resists Dark.
Hellhound is weak to Ice and resists Fire and Dark.
All-Seeing Sentry is weak to Ice and resists Thunder.
Scorpion Executioner resists Fire and Ice.
Midnight Crawler is weak to Fire and Light and resists Ice, Thunder, and Dark.
Resistant Wraith is weak to Light and resists Fire, Thunder, Ice, and Dark.
Bone Assailant is weak to Fire and Light.
Stone Devil is weak to Ice and Light and resists Dark.
Nightmare Crawler is weak to Fire and Light and resists Ice, Thunder, and Dark.
Bio Hornet is weak to Fire and Ice.
Venom Bat is weak to Fire and Thunder.
Terror from the Deep is weak to Thunder and Ice and resists Fire.
Twisted Sentry is weak to Ice.
Writhing Sentry is weak to Ice and resists Thunder.
Craft Lord’s Plate if you haven’t already. Equip Melchior with the best equipment he can have. You might want to make another save here in case you want to level up to 10 later to get an achievement. After you get Celesta AND Melchior to level 10, you’ll get an achievement. Note that this won’t work if both Celesta and Melchior aren’t level 10, meaning that if you get any exp in the previous room and Celesta is level 11 by the time Melchior is level 10, you need to load your save from your previous checkpoint or start over the game from the beginning.
Archmage
Hone your powers to unmatched levels.
Head to the crystal room for your final boss fight.
Boss: The Sentinel
The boss doesn’t have weakness and resistance but it will occasionally use Fire, Ice, and Thunder Shield so you should strike it with Light or Dark spells instead. Use Mana Break + Light spell and use Arcane Force + Light spell combo (or you also can use the Dark spell combo if you want) and heal with the usual Arcane Pulse + Heal combo whenever necessary to beat it.

You can save at this point so you can skip the boss for the two endings ahead. Head to the exit to get another cutscene and a boss fight.
Boss: The Sentinel
Keep on attacking until you have 15 MP and use Dutiful Melody from your Innate skill list.
The credits will roll after the fight. Make sure to speed it up by pressing Z button if you’re aiming for the speedrun achievement.
The ending branches into two different paths at this point. The second one is achieved by going south after you can control your character.
Sacrificial Lamb
Seal away the castle at the cost of eternal loneliness.
In order to get the first ending, you should use Loyal Melody from your Innate spell list (activated through the main menu).
Fulfillment
Keep your promise to Celesta.
If you finish the game in less than 1.5h, you’ll get an extra achievement.
Swift Escape
Leave the castle hand in hand under 1:30 hours.

Afterwords
It’s finally done! I got a problem with the first ending and Archmage achievement, but I finally did it! (I looked into the other guide for spoilers though, haha).
Anyways, I hope that this guide can help you to finish the game. I find that this game has a lot of different enemies with different weakness and resistance so I hope it would at least help to cover that part.
