Resources

Overview

This guide explains all the basics regarding resources.

How to Gain Resources

Your avatar (usually shortened and called “Ava”) is taking care of your resources.

She chops the wood and mines the stones for you. Once you have unlocked the fishery, you can also send the avatar out fishing.

Please note:

  • While your character is out fishing, you won’t be able to make it mine resources!
  • When you are visiting friends, your avatar will stop mining.

To fell a tree or quarry a stone, all you need to do is click on them and your avatar will start working.

With an active premium account, you can mine 5 trees (or stones) in a row. Symbolically, the selected resources are displayed in the top left below your profile picture and are then mined one after the other:

Additionally, you’ll see the selected rocks/trees are marked by a gray shadow:

If you want to, you can also move the resources around. This has the advantage that Ava doesn’t need to walk such long distances 😉

Respawning

Once you have started mining resources, new supply is delivered to your map after predetermined periods of time.

Per area on your map, a fixed amount of 8 trees and 5 rocks are being generated. These may contain either 4, 6 or 8 units of wood or 2, 3 or 4 units of stone. This makes an average of 40 wood and 15 stones per area.

The timers inside the stone and wood storages indicate when the next delivery is due to arrive.

Generally, your first login of the day will gain you new resources; the next resources will arrive 6 hours later, if you mined wood/stone during that time.

If you are online when the new resources arrive, you will receive the upcoming resources another six hours later. If your account is not open during that time, the 6-hour-interval will commence with your next login.

For example:

Player A signs into the game at 8 am in the morning and receives new resources. They proceed to mine some of them. They are logged in again at 2 pm on the same day (six hours later) and will receive a new supply of trees/rocks for the ones mined before. They are again logged in at 8 pm (another six hours alter) and receive another load of new resources for the ones mined 6 hours earlier.

Player B also logs in at at 8 am and mines resources. They don’t log into the game until 4 pm, however, find new resources and mine them. The next delivery of resources won’t arrive before 10 pm in that case (6 hours later).

Player C, another early riser, also logs in at 8 am but doesn’t mine any resources. At 2 pm they return to the game, but will not receive new resources, as they didn’t mine any of the resources that arrived with the last delivery at 8 am. At about 5 pm, player C proceeds to mine resources – the new ones are then delivered at about 9 pm.

Why do I need resources?

You need resources to

  • repair factories. With each production you pick up, your factories’ condition and thus its productivity will decrease.
    – The longer a production takes, the higher the loss in percentages.
    – The further your factory starts deteriorating, the longer it will take for your goods to be produced.
    – To repair the factories, you need resources (alternatively, the factories can be fixed using gems).

  • unlock production slots inside the factories. Aside from hidden object game points, you also need a certain amount of resources to unlock a new production slot in a factory. The amount you need is displayed under the respective production slot:

Wood and Stone Storage

The resources are stored directly in your wood and stone storages:

They will NOT be stored in your goods storage (inventory)!

At the start of the game, there is one stone storage and one wood storage on your map with a certain storage capacity.

Each area of your map you unlock contains one further wood or stone storage, which you can repair using coppers and use after. Each new storage you have will increase your total storage capacity of the respective resource. You can also upgrade each storage, to receive an even higher storage capacity.

In exchange for gems, you can use the lumberjack or the stonemason to pick up as many resources as your respective storage can still hold. Each day, you can mine 5 free stones / 10 free wood. Just click the button “Collect”.

Please note: The lumberjack/stonemason will use all the resources found in the village: if you want to keep a certain amount of rocks and trees standing around, you may want to consider if you really want to use their services.
