An achievement guide on how to obtain all 14 achievements in Rise of Insanity.
~Unmissable Story Achievements~
-Eye check:
“Solve the puzzle with the padlock in the hospital.”
-Plumber:
“Find the mystery with the leak in the basement.”
-Electrician:
“Solve the puzzles with the electricity at home and night garden”
-Attentive Listener:
“Listen to every tape recorder.”
There is about a total of 6 tape recordings and they are needed to progress in each section.
~Collectible Achievements~
Many of the collectible achievements are a bit buggy and unlocked on various playthroughs just after reaching a threshold of items needed so they are actually quite easy.
-Nosey:
“Find every note and letter.”
There are about 45 notes in the game but you don’t really need to bother counting them as if you explore and interact with the world enough you will likely get this achievement just from playing the game. Notes have the “F – Text” at the bottom of the screen after interacting with them.

-The art connoisseur:
“Find all Teddy’s drawings.”
Teddy’s drawings can be found throughout the game. Again as with other collectibles you may just need to play a couple of times and collect them until it pops. I got the achievement on my second playthrough after picking up the first of the drawings.

-Duck’s tales:
“Collect every duck.”
There is a total of 15 ducks in the game. Below is a list:
- Duck 1 – In the starting Office, in the cupboard to right of the door.
- Duck 2 – In the morgue, next to the dead crow and candle.
- Duck 3 – In the garden after the guy throws a shovel at you. Next to the wheelbarrow.
- Duck 4 – In the basement of the house, on the bed in the gas puzzle room.
- Duck 5 – In registration, while looking for the figurines the duck is in the last toilet.
- Duck 6 – In the second garden visit, in the bucket by the van and well.
- Duck 7 – In the bedroom, on a shelf as you go in.
- Duck 8 – In the white area, while on the wooden walkway after being blocked, rotate and the duck will be there.
- Duck 9 – Back in the house, duck 9 is in the locked box in the kids bedroom. The key is behind some photos on a shelf downstairs.
- Duck 10 – In room 9, after getting the key from the morgue, open the chest.
- Duck 11 – In the third garden visit, the duck is by a rock to the left of the boat.
- Duck 12 – In the second white area, behind the first fortune teller in the third area.
- Duck 13 – In prison, in the storage room on the bottom shelf by some boxes.
- Duck 14 – In the court, front bench.
- Duck 15 – In the hospital after the projection film, try to leave then turn around for the final duck.
I, however, got this on my second playthrough after duck 6 as I assume it is just find a total of 15 ducks across any number of playthroughs.
-Sir Theodor Dowell:
“Find every armor pieces.”
There are three items that contribute to this achievement. I got this achievement without collecting the helmet so it is a bit glitchy but should be easy enough if you playthrough picking up most items.
- The first is the sword in the bedroom after the first garden/greenhouse level. The sword is next to the box.
- After you have done the above one, head down to the basement and the shield can be found to the right.
- After the section in the house where you slowly walk to the light you will end in a white dream world. The helmet can be found behind one of the desks.
Flying School 1 & 2
-Flying School 1:
“Finish the first level without being beaten up.”
-Flying School 2:
“Finish the second level without being beaten up.”
These achievement refer to the sections of the game where you play as a crow and must fly. For the achievements complete the segments without dying (crashing). They are both fairly easy, the second one is even easier than the first.
The first flying level is near the start of chapter 2 after interacting with the bird cage. The second flying level is after collecting all 3 of the figurines.
Rebel
-Rebel:
“Don’t listen to your wife and go to next level not switching the TV off on the first level.”
For this achievement, during the first level upon entering the kitchen, your wife will ask you to turn off the TV. Ignore her and wait for the phone to ring then proceed to the next level without interacting with the TV and the achievement is yours.
The Ring
-The Ring:
“Watch the movie.”
After completing the second garden level you will be back in the kitchen. Do not leave the room. The TV will have static on it. Explore this room (DO NOT LEAVE) and turn off the TV. Eventually the TV will jump scare you and the achievement is yours.
Masochist
-Masochist:
“Get murdered five times”
For this achievement just die five times. You can die by entering the darkness during various levels.
This is a good farming spot for the achievement. Before the basement puzzle.
Explorer
-Explorer:
“Open 40 shelves and sideboards.”
Shouldn’t really be any trouble. Just explore and interact with lots of cupboards and drawers.
