Robin Hood: How to get the secret ending (UPDATED)

Overview

In addition to the main story of Robin Hood, there are collectables that you can find through the game that add a little more challenge to the game. These collectables unlock a secret ending. In this guide I will teach you where and how to get them.

Introduction

During your playthrough in some of the castle levels there are some collectable royal items that you can collect, these are secondary objectives that you can get and are not necessary to complete the game. However, they are fun to collect since it adds more replayability to the game and allows Robin to dab on Prince John.

These collectables are in the following levels:

  • The prince and the outlaw
  • The evening visitor
  • The lock-up and the friar
  • The silver arrow
  • A wedding and a funeral
  • The escape
  • The letter

First Item: The royal rod

This item can be found in the level “The prince and the outlaw” in the castle of Derby, after Robin and Marian find out Juan’s betrayal in the reunion room, an inaccessible room located to the right of the castle will become accesible, next to the guards you can find the royal rod.

Second item: The Doomsday book

The second item is the Doomesday book, this can be found in the mission “The evening visitors” on Ranalfa Leicester’s castle. This unlocks after completing the main objective of talking to Ranulph about prince Juan’s betrayal. This book is mentioned by Ranulph and is guarded by the sheriff’s soldiers, which can be killed. The book is located to the south-east of the castle, the same tower where Will Scarlet was imprisoned.

Third item: The coronation spoon

The third item is located in the level “The lock-up and the friar” at the top of the tower of Derby you can get this item. However it can be obtained after defeating the red knight at the top of the tower, located on top of the reunion room of the castle of Derby. Only after the knight is down the royal coronation spoon will be dropped.

Fourth and fifth item: The silver arrow and the state sword

In the level “The silver arrow” in the castle of Nottingham you can find two items, the first one is the silver arrow and the second one is the sword of state.

The Silver arrow is the price for the archer tournament. However it is not given to you as a prize, since it was only bait used to set Robin a trap, but this item can be acquired. It is located in the castle, next to the jail sail of said castle, it is protected by two spearmen and a red knight.

The state sword is located in the church of Nottingham, it is heavily protected by guards and knights, so beware.

These items are available right away from the start of the game, and there is no order or requirements to get these items.

Sixth item: The Ampulla

In the level “A wedding and a funeral” you can find the sixth item. This item requires a few extra steps, in the south of York there is a black Guvnor who talks to a lady outside her house, the problem is that her husband is very jealous of him and does not allow them to talk, so when the husband gets close the guvnor and the lady run back to their home and hide until the husband leaves again.

So, follow these steps:

also, be quick since she leaves immediately after the husband is gone or knocked down. After that, take down the guvnor and take the crystal phial.

Seventh item: The royal seal.

The seventh item can be found in the level “The escape” in Nottingham. After rescuing Robin from jail you can sneak into the King’s room and fight a single red knight to get the royal seal.

The last item: The royal crown

In the mission “The letter” at the top of where your contact Allan is, there is a beggar, which if you give him enough money will send you to the church of York, there you find two secrets, a stack of money and the royal crown, one of the last items you require to unlock the secret ending and to finish the game 100%.
