Overview
I’ve seen alot of foodchain guides that make the eagle, like, invincible. I made this guide to help people with the foodchain (in my opinion.)
Introduction
So, you’ve found my guide! Thanks for clicking. So, some of you may be wondering “Well, how do I get to RolePlaying Grove?” What you have to do is join a server (I would request Europe.) Then when it’s loaded look at the bottom left corner and click the arrow till you see it.
Basic Foodchain
This is the basic foodchain for people who dont want to read the whole thing.
(ranked from hardest to kill, this can be used by eagle players)
eagle : 6 hits
wolf : 4-5 hits
lynx : 4 hits
deer/goat : 3-4 hits
fox : 3 hits
badger : 3 hits
pheasent : 2-3 hits
bear cub : 2 hits
rabbit : 1-2 hits
hedgehog : 1 hit (must be flipped over to avoid spikes, must be eaten with extreme caution)
badger/lynx cubs : 1 hit
frog : 1 hit (very slimy, most perfer not to eat these unless food is scarce)
Eagle
The eagle will swoop down on animals in open areas, killing them in 1-5 hits.
Wolf
The wolf is the newest animal in the game and is by far the most played animal, closely followed by the lynx. So, from my experience, people think the wolf is unstoppable, cant die ever (not even when a feaking goat rams it,) and is a killing machine. That is not the case for real wolves. Although, most players will stop chasing and bark when prey jumps (or flies) to a tall area, even though wolves have the highest jump in the game. They do this because, one, they give the prey an advantage, and two, in Shelter 2 mother lynx jumps onto a high bolder to escape a wolf pack. If you are reading this and you play as a wolf, please dont be “un-killable.” It ruins the roleplay.
Wolf Packs eat :
goat/deer
pheasent
cubs
(avoids lynxes and badgers)
Lone wolf eats :
cubs
rabbits
frogs
(not that succcessful)
Lynx/Lynx Cubs
The lynx and lynx cubs are almost as popular at wolves. You will reguarly see a family of them, mostly one mother and 1-4 cubs. (Although i’ve seen families with three parents and 7 cubs!) People who play as lynxes, dont follow in the wolves’ steps, lots of lynx players dont die at all when I attack them.
Lynx hunts/eats :
weak goats/deer
wolves (only if they get attacked first)
pheasents
badger/bear cubs
rabbits
frogs
lynx cubs hunt :
frogs
rabbits
Fox
The fox is mostly used as a wolf pup (with the special skin.) Sometimes (I usually do it) the fox will be a scavenger, secretly following a pack and feeding off of the animal the pack as taken down (after they leave.) Most foxes will attack lynxes and when I see it im like “WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING?!” Its crazy.
eats :
pheasants
badger cubs
rabbits
frogs
(avoids adult badgers)
Deer/Goat
The goat is usally mistaken for a deer, therefore, is called a deer. The goat can ram attackers (and is supposed to hurt them alot) athough attackers usally ignore this ._. The goat as some nice skins, though.
can attack (ranked by how hard it is to kill) :
wolf-4 hits
lynx-3 hits
fox- 1 to 2 hits
eats :
fruits
bushes
grass
Badger/Badger Cubs
People think the badger is harmless and is easy to kill. This should not be the case. In Shelter 1 it took 3 hits to kill the mama badger from an eagle. The badger cubs can be killed in one hit by any animal.
Adult Badger can kill/eat :
pheasent
rabbit
frogs
Badger cubs can kill/eat :
rabbits
frogs
Conclusion
This is it! I left out some animals because they cannot attack. I will put what they eat below. (I am not saying you have to follow this guide, but it would be nice if you do.)
pheasent-grass, bushes, insects
frog-insects
rabbit-grass, fruit
hedgehog : grass, fruit, grubs
