Overview
This challenge was made in an effort to stop the repetitiveness of playing the game normally. In this challenge, the main effort will be spent attempting to keep the royal family as healthy as possible. It’s my first written challenge so please give me some constructive criticism if possible.
Rules
1. You must be in Story Mode. The beginning of the game proceeds as usual
2. Once you start having children, they will be part of the royal family. I suggest marking royalty with a certain gem color or a part of their name, depends on you
3. The only members from the royal family that can breed are the queen and king. They are lifetime mates and once one dies, they will be mateless
4. The royal family as a whole is forbidden from breeding with normal nichelings, as an effort to keep the royal blood in the family
5. There will only be one queen at a time. She is the ruler of the island and will stay at the island she was made queen on. She cannot move islands
6. Once the queen either dies or the family moves islands, the eldest daughter will take rule, whether or not she is sickly/weaker
7. If the queen dies without and heir, her eldest sister will be made queen. If the eldest sister cannot be made queen, then it goes down the list (it is recommended to always have at least two royal sisters)
8. Normal nichelings are those who have been taken into the tribe. They can breed with eachother and act as the providers of the tribe. No members from the royal family can ever breed with them. They king will be whomever is youngest and most different genetically from her
9. When a queen dies, a ceremony will be held in her honor by the royal family. All collecting/fighting must be stopped for one day, regardless of the situation
10. The queen must approve all mating pairs, if someone is caught mating without her permission (whether intentional or not) they will be banished and/or killed
For moving islands, it is recommended to take the following nichelings as a base (but of course it is not required):
Eldest Princess
Second Eldest Princess
The Eldest Princess’s Possible King
As many provider nichelings as possible
As a side note, all rules would most likely be broken for story purposes at some point in time, since this challenge is very roleplay based
