this guide is for those that tried all the other ones on this forum and it still didnt work this one finally worked for me and i want to pass it along

so i have a i7 intel with a nvidia 2070-q and a 144hz screen, two additional monitors, and windows 10 so if everything else youve read untill now has not worked, try this
[link]once you are taking to the github page, scroll down to the assets part of the page and DL the DXwrapper.zip file (not the debug or the source codes zips/tar.gz) save to desktop or where you wish that it is accessible to. Copy from dxwrapper folder to the game directory these files, d3d8.dll, dinput8.dll, dxwrapper.asi, dxwrapper.dll and dxwrapper.ini. Then edit the ini and set Dinputto8 from 0 to 1, save changes to the ini file. drop these in the SR2 root file. if you dont know where it is, in your library right click SR2 go to manage and click browse local files. Run The Game After This
if youre game is crashing on the opening cinematic, remove d3d8.dll, dinput8.dll and try then
