Overview
A spoiler-free (as much as I could, at least) walkthrough that covers only the main storyline of Sally Face Episode 3: The Bologna Incident. This will only get you the “Full of Bologna” achievement, if you don’t do anything else.(This guide has been cross-posted onto Tumblr.)Despite being as spoiler-free as I can make it, please read at your own risk, just in case.

This walkthrough is only to get through the main storyline of the game, and get you the “Full of Bologna” acheivement.
I’m just listing the steps you need to take to advance the plot. Feel free to explore more and talk to people that I don’t outright mention in here! There’s a lot of lore and fun dialogue to read that isn’t necessary.

Adult Sal Dream Sequence
Just run to the left, then go through the not-door when you get to it.
The Next Day, Bologna Day
- With Larry, go talk to Kim. Looks like that didn’t work.
- When you can move again, walk over to the door by Chug and go through.
- In the hall, go right until you reach Packerton’s room. Go inside and to the right to get the paperclip.
- Exit back into the hall and walk left until you reach the lockers.
- Use the lockers, and navigate yourself to Ash’s locker. Take Ash’s camera, and exit out.
- Go left down the hall until you run into Larry. Talk to him.
- Go right to the door labelled ‘Courtyard’, and go through.
- In the Courtyard, go to the left until you see the tree with the tennis ball.
- Hit the use/action button on the tree multiple times, until the tennis ball falls down. Pick it up.
- Go right, passed the window, until you reach another tree. Standing under it, go into your inventory and use Ash’s camera to take a picture.
- Navigate left and up until you find the red bird, and take a picture with it in the rectangle.
- Go left to the window, open your inventory, and then Throw the tennis ball.
- Go back into the hall, using the door next to the window.
- Talk to Larry, then talk to him again to give him Ash’s camera.
- Head back outside and throw the ball at the window again.
- Head back in and talk to Larry again.
- Go back to the cafeteria, and go talk to Kim.
- Head back to the door next to Chug, then when you’re in the hall, walk right to the end of the hall, and enter the next hall.
- Walk right until you find the Science Lab, go inside.
- When you get to the classroom with Larry, go to the teacher’s desk and use it.
- The lock combination is 3141. (The first four digits of Pi, they’re squared off on the pi strip above the blackboard.)
- Take the metal puzzle ring thing.
Addison Apartments
- Head to the elevator, and head to floor 4.
- Head into Sal’s place (402), and then head to Sal’s room.
- Go to his dresser and grab the Gearboy.
- Go back to the elevator, and head to floor 2.
- Hit up Todd’s place (202), go into Todd’s room and talk to him.
- Tell Todd you’re ready to go.
(If you don’t get this right away, you may need to go down to the basement and talk to Lisa, but I don’t THINK that’s a requirement.)
NOTE: If you decide to explore/talk to people, DO NOT go into Todd’s room until you’re ready to leave, or at least DO NOT go into Todd’s room before you talk to Lisa. You’ll miss out on part of her conversation if you do.
The New Apartment
- Go left, and talk to Larry by the fridge.
- Walk around and explore a bit until he says he’s opened the lock. (I think he needs to be off screen or else it won’t trigger, but I’m not certain.)
- Go check out the fridge.
- When Larry walks away, bust out your Gearboy and use it near the blood puddle. Welp, that just happened.
- Go right to the radio, and set it to channel 104.7 (number from the fridge.)
- Go right to the clock. You can change the numbers now. Set it to 12:12. (the ‘ba’ sequence)
- Go into the first bedroom. Be promptly horrified.
- Use the Gearboy by the bed. Went prompted for dialogue, pick the third option. (“How can I help you?”)
- Pick whichever answer. It all ends the same.
- After the cutscene, leave the room and head to bedroom 2.
- Go to the freezer and use it. Another combo lock! This one is 1413. (clue is the small dots on the left side of the combo lock screen.)
The Newer New Apartment
- Go right to bedroom 2 and head in.
- Use the action button on the tear in the carpet.
The Spike Room
- Go left to the end of the room, and pick up the lightbulb.
- Go to the weird trident-y looking thing to the right, and then open your inventory. Use the lightbulb with it.
- Bust out the Gearboy and use it on the light.
- Go to the far right side of the room, and use your Gearboy on the light on that side too.
- Head to the middle of the room, to the star puzzle.
- Use the right obelisk once, then the left one twice.
- Step on the button, then walk off.
Larry’s Maze
- Check out Larry’s inventory at some point, just for funsies.
- Go to the left door.
- Welp, you’re in a maze now. The clue for Larry’s portion is: the passage in each room that makes a sound.
- The sequence is: Rightmost door, middle door, leftmost door, rightmost door.
- Now there’s a button puzzle. Just… just walk across them until you get it. I don’t actually keep track of how I solve this one, I just keep walking back and forth until it works. I’m bad at these puzzles okay? You’ll get it eventually.
Sal’s Maze
- The clue for Sal’s portion is” the passage in each room that does NOT make a sound.
- The sequence is: Middle door, Leftmost door, Rightmost door, Leftmost door.
- Another button puzzle. Same thing as last time. Sorry guys, I suck at these.
The Second Lever Room
- Pull the lever.
- Use/Action button the thing that pops up.
The Center Room
- Go left to find what you seek.
The Newspaper
- After you’re done reading it, push left to get to the arrow to let you progress the cutscene.
