Project: Gorgon Guide

Sausage Party: A Butcher's Tale for Project: Gorgon

Sausage Party: A Butcher’s Tale

Overview

Easy way to make your first 25k+ per week in Project Gorgonand unlock heaps of storage to boot!

Overview

I set out to make this guide because I keep seeing many new players in game struggling to make ends meat (heh)

I also found many of the other low level money making guides to be somewhat lacking (All potato, No meat.)

This is for people who may not be comfortable leaving the safety of Serbule Keep, yet.
It is also for people who want to make money without wasting/selling items they will need in the future.
This is how i started.

Requirements

This guide assumes you’ve already made it to Serbule Keep (the main city)
it also assumes you have Cooking @ level 15*
it also, also assumes you can kill pigs and deer with relative ease…
though deer can be a nuisance if you don’t have a ranged attack.

*it is not very hard to level up cooking to that point, and you don’t even have to do gardening to get there. (Though gardening would be fastest route)
Lots of fish in the water around the keep.
TONS of chicken/eggs to the West/Southwest.

Bring on THE MEAT

Learn the recipe for Sausage from Fainor the Serbule Innkeeper (red dot)
kill pigs (blue dot)
kill deer (yellow dot)
helps to have a butcher knife for extra meat

Sausage requires 2 pork 1 venison 2 salt 1 flour
the salt and flour can be bought from Fainor
dont worry about the cost of the salt and flour because Fainor will buy the sausage at 1040 per stack of 10.

What you want to do is GIFT your first few stacks to Fainor to get his favor up which will increase his max buy price as well as his weekly money limit.
shoot for “Friends” at the bare minimum.
@Friends = 5k limit
@Close Friend = 10k limit
@Best Friend = 20k limit
@Like Family = 25k limit

every time you up his favor level the new money limit becomes available (minus what you’ve already gotten from selling to him)

Storage!!!

Joeh the armor/weapon merchant (Orange dot)
likes sausage as a gift and provides increasing storage at higher favor levels: 46 slots @ Soul Mate

Ivyn the farmer (green dot) likes sausage and provides a 32 slot storage @ Close Friends

Some basic combat/stat tips

If you find yourself struggling to survive against mobs early on it is most likely because you lack sufficient Armor and/or have a very weak combat refresh.

Armor is a pretty important mechanic in PG, especially early on.
for every 25 armor you have you will mitigate 1 point of damage from every attack coming your way.

Combat refresh is a mechanic where every 15 seconds your basic attack will regenerate a set amount of HP, Armor, and Power.
This is determined by what type of gear you are wearing;

  • Metal refreshes a large chunk of strictly Armor.
  • Cloth refreshes a medium amount of both HP and Power.
  • Leather refreshes a small amount of EACH.

The best investment you can make starting out (after you’ve acquired at least 1k) is to go check Joeh’s (orange dot) Buy Used tab for a nice white quality metal chest armor with ~200 armor. This should only cost you ~400c

If you want to make your life even easier also look for some white quality Cloth/Leather gloves/boots/pants that give decent +combat refresh (like 20+ hp/power)

Simple white gear with only Armor and refresh will take you much further than most of the “higher quality” drops you will find prior to level 25. (dont let the green, blue, purple gear fool you if it has much lower base armor/refresh)

Extra Loot

While butchering Pigs and Deer you may also come across many extra parts including:
Antlers, Deer Guts, Pig feet/snouts, and Stomachs.

DONT vendor Stomachs, players will buy them @ ~900 each, yes EACH

the other stuff you can vendor if you want to but you’ll eventually need the odd animal parts for the skill “Shamanistic Infusion” which is kind of like Enchanting in other games.

Gershok in the middle of Serbule hills teaches Shamanistic Infusion* if you wanna get an early start on that skill

*Comfortable favor level is needed but easy to unlock:
he likes Meditation stools (if youre a carpenter)
but the easiest method is Pickled fish which are all over the ground near the npc
~30 pickled fish gifted to Gershok will get him to Comfortable

Ending Notes

I hope this guide helps you get a foothold in Project Gorgon and that you enjoy your stay however long it may be.

Dont be afraid to ask questions in-game with the /help channel, no matter how dumb you think they might be (most of us likely asked the same thing once upon a time!)

I want to use this last bit to give a shout out to the whole PG community for being one of the greatest gaming communities I’ve had the pleasure of being apart of!

As well as a special shout out to my fellow guildies in Legion, without you amazing people i probably wouldn’t have made it as far as i have in this short amount of time! <3

Last but not least;
Here’s a friendly reminder to do your Hiphoplology research! ;P
