Overview
This is a guide to the location of the Roboticizer and Metal Sonic Hologram in each zone. This guide also includes a selected past signpost for each zone and an easy way into the past. There is a screenshot of each location to help with landmarks. Good luck!Note: In order to collect the achievement, all Holograms and Roboticizers must be destroyed before collecting the final Time Stone as doing so will automatically destroy all remaining Holograms and Roboticizers. Also you must be playing as Sonic. The achievement will NOT unlock when playing as Tails.I used the full stage maps found on http://soniczone0.com/games/soniccd/stagesandstory/ in order to plot out the following routes.
Palmtree Panic Zone 1
The past signpost can be found just to the left of the underground tunnel.
Peel out from the left most (stable) edge of this platform straight into the tunnel. Do not hold right, just let Sonic fall into the past. Continuing right, the Metal Sonic Hologram can be found at the bottom of mountain that has a waterfall running through it.
The Roboticizer can be found on the second half of large archway after the final shuttle loop just before the goal signpost.
Palmtree Panic Zone 2
A past signpost can be reached by jumping off the tall shuttle loop before entering the underground tunnel.
Spin dash from the rightmost edge of the platform with the past signpost into the tunnel to enter the past. The tunnel should fire Sonic directly into or just over the Roboticizer.
Continue right along the top path until reaching a future signpost, then fall to the path below. The Metal Sonic Hologram will be just after the log bridge.
Collision Chaos Zone 1
Halfway through the stage on the lower path is a red spring followed by a yellow spring. Take the yellow spring up to a past signpost.
Use the two red springs in this area to enter the past. Then use the left red spring to sail high and far left to a platform with the Roboticizer.
Return to the red spring area that previously had the past signpost and continue right from there, following the upper path. At a similar area, this one containing a future signpost, use the left red spring to reach the top of the spring area were the Metal Sonic Hologram can be found.
Collision Chaos Zone 2
Take the lower path out of the red sphere area to find a past signpost.
Use the red spring immediately right of the past signpost to reach another red spring area which can be used to enter the past. From that area head right along the upper path to reach the Roboticizer.
Drop down from there and follow the bottom path right to find the Metal Sonic Hologram just after the area of red springs below spikes.
Tidal Tempest Zone 1
After getting back on to dry land fall back into the water at the first opportunity into an area with two red springs. Head left for a past signpost.
Use the red springs to get back to the upper path and continue right, keeping to the high path. After hitting the water again, take the yellow tube up and to the right. Use the red springs that face each other to enter the past.
Head left to find the Roboticizer on a platform under the yellow tube.
Head back through the yellow tube and continue left. Backtrack along the bottom path until meeting with a hidden spring near a source of air bubbles and a dead end. Use the spring to continue left past a ring box, down a slope, past a red spring and onto another hidden spring. Take the spring up and over a wall to the Metal Sonic Hologram.
Tidal Tempest Zone 2
Continue on normally until reaching an area with a gargoyle spitting blue across a red spring. Use the red spring to reach the area above with a past signpost hidden in the right wall.
Use the red springs facing each other to the left of the signpost to enter the past. Return to the previously mentioned area and continue right. The Metal Sonic Hologram can be found immediately after hitting the bottom to the left.
Continue right until reaching a dead end and use the nearby yellow spring to head upward and then a second yellow spring to the high path. The Roboticizer can be found by continuing right on the top path.
Quartz Quadrant Zone 1
From the start of the stage, take the moving platforms up. Follow the top path right until meeting with a past signpost.
Continue right, using the moving platforms to get over the gap. On the left edge of this stationary platform, peel out towards the right, over two bridges and through a tunnel into the past. The conveyor belt should be yellow at this time.
The Roboticizer is at the top of the open area outside of the tunnel.
Continue right from the platform the Roboticizer was hovering above, staying to the top path. Drop straight down at the second gap and enter the green tunnel with the red spring in it. This will exit just above the Metal Sonic Hologram.
Quartz Quadrant Zone 2
Follow the bottom path right until reaching a past signpost.
Continue right for a short distance until reaching a red spring pointing to the upper right.
Use this spring to immediately enter a tunnel with two red springs and a check point. Follow the second red spring in the tunnel to a platform with a conveyor belt and into a series of clear tubes which should exit into the past. Backtrack left from this point all the way to the starting position of the zone where the Metal Sonic Hologram can be found.
Continue back to the right until reaching a tunnel lined with two conveyor belts. Jump into this tunnel when the conveyor belt is yellow to fly up through a tunnel into an open room. The Roboticizer in the top middle of this open room.
Wacky Workbench Zone 1
From the start of the stage, get to the top path as soon as possible. Follow the top path right until encountering a set of pistons.
Jump on the rightmost piston which will lead to an area with a past signpost.
Dash up the ramp to the left to return to the piston entrance area. Peel out into the down ramp starting from the right side of the second piston mentioned before in order to enter the past. Stay on the top path and continue right. Drop off after the first of the two monkey bars and take the moving platforms down to a future signpost. The Metal Sonic Hologram can be found on the left.
Take the moving platforms back up, past another monkey bar area and continue right on the top path until reaching another piston.
Jump on this piston to reach the Roboticizer.
Wacky Workbench Zone 2
From the start of the stage, hop over the booster.
Continue on slowly to the right until reaching the drop off. A past signpost and the Roboticizer can be found there.
Hit the past signpost and hop back up to the upper ledge to the left. From the right edge of the ledge, peel out towards the booster and follow its movement into the past. Once in the past, bounce on the stage floor back up onto the lower ledge to reach the Roboticizer.
Continue right until reaching the first series of diamond shaped coils. Roughly below the right end of this structure, on a small section of the zone bottom that isn’t a springboard, is the Metal Sonic Hologram.
Stardust Speedway Zone 1
From the start of the stage, drop down the first gap and off the platform to the path below. Continue right, jump over the gap and platform to continue down this path. Jump over a yellow spring and continue through the corridor between a platform and the path, then head left. Pass over the three spike ejectors and continue left to a past flag.
From the leftmost part of this platform, peel out to the right and continue on through a tunnel-like pathway into the past. The Roboticizer can be found by jumping from the end of the upper path of that tunnel-like pathway to an enclosed area. With a little luck, this is where you’ll end up the moment you enter the past.
Use the booster off the left of this area to ramp up to the middle path. Continue right until reaching a red spring. Use this to spring up to the top path. Follow the top path until reaching a gap with a spike ejector. Drop down this gap to find the Metal Sonic Hologram.
Stardust Speedway Zone 2
From the start of the stage, squeeze down the first gap and jump to the second platform towards the left. Fall straight off the right ledge of this platform and lean left to land on a past signpost.
Fall to the bottom path and continue right. The path will terminate at an area with two red springs facing each other vertically. Use them to enter the past.
Once leaving the red spring area, jump up on the ledge right outside of it. Jump up on the next ledge to the right that has a red spring. The Roboticizer is immediately to the right.
Continue right and you will find the Metal Sonic Hologram on the middle path just before you reach the cathedral area.
Metallic Madness Zone 1
Note: After defeating Metal Sonic in Zone 3 of Stardust Speedway, there are no more Holograms.
From the start of the stage, keep to the top path. Beyond the area with three red springs which point to the upper left, a past signpost can be found.
Continue right until meeting with a moving red spring. Use this to get to the top path. Follow the path right and fall straight down at the red spike seesaw area. Peel out into the yellow springs pointing at each other to enter the past.
Drop down at the first opportunity, being careful to avoid a moving red spring below. Continue right on the bottom path until meaning a dead end. Take the disappearing platforms and then a red spring up until reaching an area with the Roboticizer.
Metallic Madness Zone 2
Note: After defeating Metal Sonic in Zone 3 of Stardust Speedway, there are no more Holograms.
From the start of the stage, take the middle path to a dead end at the second series of tunnels. Choose left at the tunnel junction. Continue left on the top path until you reach the past signpost.
Hit the past signpost and use the two red springs facing each other to enter the past. Once in the past, head right to a tunnel series entrance. Jump in and choose left at the junction. Continue on to the right, keeping to the higher path. Ride the piston up to a red spring. The Roboticizer can be found in the area above.
