Scratch’s Guide to #DESTROYDONNIE

Overview

Ultimate tips to destroy the competition in Screencheatv0.5.5

Forward

This guide was created for V1.1, and is currently being adapted for v2.1.2
I want to put this out with as much content as I can, so I’ll probably add some content to it over time.
I would have probably published this with some adequate content, but it would be impossible to fill with everyone I want to say in a few sittings.
I always welcome suggestions on things to add to this guide, as well as some information that might be inaccurate, or stupid.
I will try to answer and test most questions that are asked in the comments section, otherwise bother @nicholasmc1, or Winnie or Captain Default.

The guide isn’t so much finished yet, but there already is a fair bit of information that will help, so there will be future updates, until then, I hope this helps.

It is important to note that you will not improve your skill overnight, but this will help in a better understanding of a lot of the games mechanics, and how you can use them to your advantage.

Weapons

Blunderbuss

A medium ranged medium reload time Blunderbuss.
The range of the blunderbuss is around fifteen metres, and has a two second reload time.
It is considered the most basic weapon in the game, and still is OP if the user’s skill is great.

Revolver Rifle

A long ranged, multiple shot precision weapon, it has a possibly infinite range (I haven’t found one yet). The Revolver Rifle can fire all four of its bullets in a two second window, and takes four seconds to reload all the bullets.
The Revolver Rifle may bee hard to track as the shots only fire a small burst and tiny trail, although if a rough position is known, it can be combated with most weapons, with Chefolet being the least effective.
The Devs has noted this as a Pro only like gun. While yes you really do need to be precise, it allows safety from players using shorter range weapons, as you can attack from afar without giving a large signal (apart from your screen of course)

Trappuer

A Crossbow with a instant death laser, the bolts are lightly affected by gravity, which is hardly noticeable as they will only fall half the height of a player from the other side of the map.
The bolts will not instantly hit your target either, as the bolts travel at a reduced speed, which is more noticeable with long snipes across maps.
Upon Firing the Trappuer, your movement speed will grind to a halt, and gradually return to regular speeds as time progresses, with full speed regained after the laser has dissapeared.
The laser also bends around walls, which is useful for getting back behind cover if appropriate, note that the laser prefers to snap to the shortest distance possible from the bolt to the player.
It is also important to note that at the end of the laser’s active time, it will jolt outwards, briefly extending it’s deathzone, this happens almost 1.7 seconds after the bot is fired, so do keep that in mind. The laser is active for a total of 1.8 seconds, before needing a 2.2 second reload time
The Trappuer can fire one round every 4 seconds

Effective weapons against the Trappuer are the Revolver Rifle and Grenade Launcher.
Both weapons allow a quick long distance attack to the users position. Grenade Launcher works exceedingly well against players who are not in direct line of sight.
Avoid when equipped with the Candellabra or HobbyHorse, as they require melee range kills.

Chefolet

A charged based weapon, that works as both a melee ranged, and a long ranged weapon. It’s main benefit is that the fired projectile rebounds off walls, allowing cross-map kills if lucky. The chefolet’s charged projectile will give your position away immediately, and will allow melee kills after 0.7 seconds of charge, and will automatically launch after 4 seconds, with the longer the charge, the longer the travel life and speed of the fired projectile. The reload time will stay 2 seconds no matter how high the Chefolet was charged.

Bear Bomb

The only weapon in the game that allows remote detonation, however at any point when the bear is active on the battlefield, your position will be broadcasted through a visual effect, while also incurring a speed penalty, bring to half the usual. The shortest time that a bear bomb can be alive for is 1.5 seconds after activating the bear, however, unless you have thrown the bear of a ledge of some sort, this will kill you as well if exploded, as it has a explosive range of around four metres. The direction that the bear will jump is seemingly random, and no logical answer has been released. The bear has a maximum lifetime of fifteen seconds, as marked by the clock on the detonator. so it’s a good precaution that if you see a bear in the distance, note how long left the bear has it’s life, but also avoid the bear as it can explode at any time remotely.
As the detonator gives of a visual effect, is has a weakness to pretty much every weapon, and it’s only real benefit is that it’s able to travel anywhere on the map remotely.
I never use this, take note.

Candelabra

A melee only weapon, it has an added benefit of persistently being able to walk about 1.3-1.5 times as fast as a regular player. This allows you to be able to reach objectives faster than most opponents, at the cost of ranged attacks. Rushing Hills with the Candelabra is an effective attack method if it’s currently occupied by other players. The Candelabra is able to attack 5 times in 3 seconds when spammed, which averages to about 0.6 seconds per swing.

HobbyHorse

Another Melee only weapon, which has a persistent player speed of about 0.7 times the average movement, and increases to about twice as usual when using the charge attack. When charging, the player will leave behind a fire trail, with a visual Doppler effect in front of the player. The charge attack lasts about 3 seconds before needing to recharge for 0.5 seconds to be used again
The HobbyHorse is good against players who are using the Grenade Launcher and Bear Bomb as their attack methods are not entirely efficient for taking out speedy targets. Players with the Blunderbuss, Trappuer and skilled Revolver Rifle would you as an easy target when you are using your charge attack.

Grenade Launcher

The common grenade launcher, where grenades curve down by gravity. The range can be near infinite if angled correctly (Good practise and use will help you adhere to the physics used). No matter how far you fire the grenade, it will only explode exactly 1 second after hitting a wall, or instantly if it collides with another player. The Grenade Launcher will reload immediately after firing, and is able to fire again after 2.5 seconds.

Sörgeån

The Sörgeån is a projectile based weapon that fires spiked balls that are about 1 metre in diameter about fifteen forward (Around the same as the Blunderbuss). Any player who collides with the ball will die or suicide. What makes the Sörgeån unique is that it floats in the air for 1 second, before launching back at the direction it was launched from, bouncing off any walls before exploding about half a second later. It does not explode on collision with a player, and will continue travelling, unless it hit a player on it’s initial launch, were it would rebound off their corpse slightly, before rocketing back. The speed at which is flings back on is dependant on how far the projectile reached from it’s initial position. For example, if it reach it’s proper distance of 15 metres, it would rocket back around twenty within the half a second bouceback.

wall_Hacker

The wall_Hacker, as the name suggests is a beam based weapon that has the ability to penetrate walls, with a technically infinite range. Upon firing the weapon, you can hold the beam for up to 4.5 seconds before a shot is forcefully launched. This window is primarily used to line up your target (This is usually done through screencheating), your aiming sensitivity is reduced dramatically, taking away your ability to properly turn, but acts as a benefit for precision. However as the beam is a direct line to your current position, and the reload speeds are an unforgiving three second wait, close quarter combat is not recommended

Each weapon, while has it’s benefits, also has it’s weaknesses, and it would be a wise decision to choose a weapon to combat another player on their weakness.

Maps

Currently, there are Ten playable maps in screencheat.
I won’t go over the maps in features or whatever, but I’ll try to go over the some of the key points or things that may help

Here is a simple list of the maps, and all of their spawn points.
I have gotten in contact with Nicholas, who has provided me with more detailed images of the maps.
There are two different coloured pins, Purple notes that the spawn point is on the top level, while blue referees to a lower path. Once you look into the map ingame, you should have a good reference where the lower spawnpoints are. I still think that there are some points missing, and I’ll need to run a game with more players to properly check, but this isn’t very easy when running both photoshop and four version of the game at the same time.

After time when I have gone and developed a proper method on recording short gameplay clips efficiently, I’ll start fleshing these out a lot more. I already have started to jot down a decent list of techniques that can be practised.

Museum
Helix (Praise be unto him)
Garden
Holy Mountain
Steeple
Manor
Emir
Ascension
Loop
Temple

It’s important to understand the layouts of each map, and how you can use them to your advantage. Such things include angled collision boxes, which allow the grenade launcher or other projectile weapons to be able to launch at helpful angles to different parts of the map

50+ Hours of tips

Try to remember the spawn positions, and notice any patterns in opponents spawns.
Other players will spawn based on several things, one importantly being the position of enemies.
It is possible on some maps to only have the player spawn in a certain position, where you can easily snipe them off with the Trappuer or Revolver Rifle. If you’re great at manurvering the map, the candellabra and blunderbuss is really great for spawn fluking.
However, it is imporant to remember that all players have a safety of around a second of invincibility after they spawn.

I try to keep my main focus on whatever player is closest to me, or the easiest to kill, while also maintaining other players movements. If you notice someone entering the same zone as you, do your best to avoid them, or swap target. If they are trying to kill another player, this makes it a lot easier to target, and could help in earning a collateral.
If eight player eventually is released, this would help in keeping control and not losing focus.

Upon learning the maps, you can start playing the game walking backwards. This confuses some players and makes your movements less predictable. This makes traveling with objectives harder to be hunted.

Looking at the ground or wall with the Fun will not help you, alert players would have traced your position from looking at your screen before you stopped moving.
(Yes, it’s important to always track the player with the objective in case they do go into hiding)
Looking at the sky is not holding Fun, and can is just as pointless if someone does the above.

You can essentially change weapon at any time, as long as you haven’t fired. This can be done by continiously scrolling through weapons until you feel comfortable with your choice. Your selection will be locked after about three seconds of not scrolling, or pressing the select key.
One simple tactic that takes advantage of this is having a candellabra to spawn with, giving you a dramatic speed boost, before changing to a different weapon when needbe.

If you hear the announcer announce the gamemode twice, stop everything and return to lobby, for everyone’s sake.

I will fill this section with gameplays and stratagies I swear, see comment in Maps section

Achievements

The achievements in Screencheat aren’t all that hard to obtain, if you have a compatible controller, it’s a lot easier and can all be done yourself (With a lot of controllers).
It’s important to note that achievements will not be unlocked until after you have closed the application, I know this does suck if you don’t know if you unlocked it in the middle of the game, but we might get an update, who knows.

I am the Lizard King
Kill 5 Opponents from on top of the dinosaur in the Museum
Relatively easy, I recommend using the grenade launcher or wall_Hacker for this one as it can be used to get into most corners of the map from on top of the dinosaur skeleton.

Truly MLG
Stay in one place in the Garden for 1 minute
Easy, more accomplish-able in Hill Campers as everyone rushes for the hill. Among my playtime, a good place to hide is looking against the hedge or brick wall next to a park bench, specifically the one up above the smaller jump pad in the blue or red sections of the map.

Sky Captain
Kill 1 opponent from each coloured area in Helix
Easy, Medium. Get a kill Blue, Orange, Red and Pink. Blunderbuss is a good weapon to use on Helix, or use the candlelabra, as it allows to you to move more quickly.

Lord of the Manor
Kill an Opponent inside a vent on the Manor
Blunderbuss is a good weapon to accomplish this with. Chase any player as they walk into a vent, and shoot them after they enter

Thrill Seeker
Spend 10 seconds off the ground without dying on Holy Mountain
There is no ‘easy’ way to get this unless your opponent is AFK, least suspicious way to get this is to look up and diagonally to the x or y axis

Life of the party
Play 20 rounds in a row in Party Mode
Have Fun!

One Shot X Kills
Get a multi-kill in One Shot
Getting a double kill can be tricky depending where players are, and where they are grouped. Weapons like the Blunderbuss are great if you all are close, grenade launcher if you are good with placement. Trappeur can also be used, or Chefolet is a great choice in Manor.

Master Sleuth
Win a round of Murder Mystery without being killed
Becomes easier the more you play, the better you are at evading your hunter (and other players) will definitely help. Manor is a good map to get this on due to the layout.

Can’t have that
Kill someone in the hill when they have 1 second to win
Any hill annihilation weapon would work, timing is important.

You’ll have a ball
Get a quad kill or more with a single Chefolet ball
Since 8 Player is now implemented, the achievement is a lot easier to obtain, especially on Ascension. And with recent buffs, you should have less of a hassle with these two pointers in mind.

Speed Demon
Spend over 75% of a round charging with the Hobby Horse
Kudos to you if you win I guess.

This is my Raifu, this is my Gun
Get 4 kills without reloading the Revolver Rifle
Medium difficulty, never take a guess shot. Camping corners or watching and sniping your enemy as they pass your reticule will help

Flanking Maneuver
Kill 3 opponents from behind with the Candelabra
Not too hard, better on smaller maps like Helix.

Bombardment
Fire 50 grenades in Hill Campers and win
Never stop firing, also try to win

2 OP RIOT PLZ NERF
Play a perfect round of deathmatch with the Blunderbuss
Not to sure on this one, just always use the Blunderbuss. Not sure if dying kills the achievement.

Expert Fisherman
Harpoon 2 players in one shot with the Crossbow
Can be a bit gimmicky, game doesn’t seem to count players who walk into the laser, as well as the laser stopping if you directly hit a player. Overlapping elbows might work, experiment.

Not Bearied Yet!
Get a multi-kill from beyond the grave with the Bearbomb
Doing this on Hill Campers is a lot easier than Deathmatch

Shafted
Get a mutli-kill with a projectile weapon through a vent
Chefolet into the vent is pretty easy, would recommend doing this on Manor

Danger Close
Get a quad-kill including yourself
More easily accomplished with the grenade launcher or bear bomb

The Spice Must Flow
Get 1 kill with each weapon in a round
Set the kill limit to around ten, and a map that allows you to fall to death to select a new weapon

The Real Experience
Play 5 games with 4 local players
Hope you all have controllers!

Surfin’ the USSR
Kill 5 players from the moving platforms on Steeple
Trapuer is great for this as the laser will move with you

Saltans Bane
Get 3 kills whilst bouncing on the floating cushions.
Wasn’t included in the description, but this is done on Emir with the rotating bounce pads.
I would reccomend using the blunderbuss with this for a bit more precision, or the grenade launcher to get behind hard to reach places.

Lighting Climb
Win a round on Ascension in less than 30 seconds with the default mode settings
Can’t say a lot about this as it’s clearly skill based, although having more than four players can really speed up the game

Grim Return
Get a double kill with a returning Sörgeån
On close-nit maps such as Ascension or Manor, while playing territorial based games such as Bombs Away or Hillcampers, placing a returning projectile to sweep the landmark may be something to try if you’re having trouble getting it normally

Just Getting Started
Reach Level 5
Amateur Cheater
Reach Level 25
Journeyman Cheater
Reach Level 50
All of these are based on the level of any profile in the game.
Points are awarded with quicker times in training, or the amount of points awarded in the game.
If I managed to equate an algorithm for score -> points I’ll replace it here

I see you
Kill an opponent through multiple objects with the wall_Hacker
Generally, killing an opponent through two walls is what you want to do. This can be pretty easy on indoor maps such as Ascension or Emir, or some complex maps like Temple or Loop.

Motion Sickness
Kill an opponent inside the centre of the tunnel on Loop
Pretty easy to obtain.
Firing a grenade or bearbomb, or Sörgeån into the hole is pretty evil if you ask me

Win a round without ever missing a shot on Temple
As the name suggests, no shots must be wasted. Can be generally easier with the Trappuer in close combat.

Bronze Age
Silver Century
Gold Class
Check out Dragon’s guide to obtaining Gold Class, which will obtain both bronze and silver achievements
