Rogue Legacy Guide

Setting custom resolutions (1440p, 4k, etc) for Rogue Legacy

Setting custom resolutions (1440p, 4k, etc)

Overview

Do you have a monitor with resolution above 1080p (1920 x 1080)? Well this is the guide for you!

Disclaimer

Rouge Legacy doesn’t allow any resolution above 1080p.
This guide fixes that.

NOTE:

You might experience strange artifacts or some kind of visual weirdness. *I didn’t* but I also didn’t check this enough. All I am saying is that there is probably a reason they don’t go above 1080p.

So now for the actual guide:

How its done

Step one:

Go here C:Users[YOURNAME]AppDataRoamingRogue Legacy or alternativly type %appdata% and it will get you to C:Users[YOURNAME]AppDataRoaming which then you will only need to nevigate to the Rouge Legacy folder yourself.

Step two:

Inside the Rogue Legacy folder there is only one file called “GameConfig.ini” (How very convenient!)

Right click the file and chose to open it with either Notepad, Wordpad or any other text editing program of your choice.

Once you open it, right at the first section you will see:

[Screen Resolution]
ScreenWidth=1920
ScreenHeight=1080

(HUH.. HOW VERY CONVENIENT..)

Simply change it to whatever you want it. In my case I made it:

[Screen Resolution]
ScreenWidth=2560
ScreenHeight=1440

Once you set your custom resolution make sure to save.

NOTE that if you make the file “read only”, Rouge Legacy will crash when trying to access the options tab.

And you’re done! Have fun playing with your custom resolution!
