Hotline Miami Guide

Simple method to Get A Life for Hotline Miami

Simple method to Get A Life

Overview

Hotline Miami 2 is already out and the game is almost at it’s 3rd anniversary, so what’s the point of this (guide) at all?Well according to Steam only 1.5% of the players have the achievement. Kind of surprising considering how I brainless-ly skimmed through the game using just the method below, and I suck at Hotline Miami. Also why not.

How to: Get A Life

1) Avoid using weapons, go consistently with fists.

2) Don’t use Tony )=

3) Execute, execute, execute, execute, execute, execute, execute.

4) Go throught the level as fast as you can.

5) Go throught the level as fast as you can.

6) …
7) Profit!

To Elaborate:

Using only your bare-fists is a priority, but eventually you’ll encounter sections in the game that’ll make fists almost impossible. In that case, try to use melee weapons effectively and guns obnoxiously. The more enemies are attracted to your gun-shots, the more exposed bonus you get. Melee weapons simply do the a faster job, without the executions of course.

Be reminded that inorder to guarantee A+ or get bonus points, it’s preferred to use Zack (frog mask) to increase the window between each combo.

If the achievement doesn’t unlock after you complete every level with A+, it could be because you’re playing on the “old” version that’s missing levels included in the “updated” version. If you’re already playing on the updated version you can try re-playing a level (e.g. Metro) multiple times for the game to register that sweet 4.0.

That’s pretty much it. I’m playing HM:2 now and crying at how difficult it is to even get an A in the game. Hotline Miami is nothing like it’s sequel. Jesus H. Christ.

Good luck!
