Skip 10 seconds of intro

Overview

Everytime you launch Arkham City, there will be 2 logos played in around ten seconds. One will show you the team name of the developers and publishers, the other is ‘Nvidia the way it’s meant to be played’.If you don’t like these, then this is the guide for you.

Common method

Navigate to wherever you installed Arkham City. By default, it should be at “C:Program Files (x86)SteamsteamappscommonBatman Arkham City GOTY“

While in there look through “BmGameMovies“

Look for ‘Startup.swf‘ and ‘StartupNV.swf‘ and either delete them or rename them.
This way, the game won’t be able to find them and won’t play and skip straight to the game.

Method that didn’t work for me

I checked out some websites on the interwebs and I found if you set the game’s launch options to “-nomoviesstartup” it would skip the intro.
It did work for me but it made the game unplayable. Sounds didn’t work and story mode didn’t load.
