This guide shows all skulls; each and every evolution, basic info, skills and skill ranks, swap and passive abilities, swap and passive ability ranks and my opinion of each of them.
Notes
Guide is completed, all skills and there tiers are done and skull details are also done. If you find anything wrong comment them below and I will investigate and see. Added a bit more info regarding getting skulls and bones as well as evolving them.

Acquiring Skulls
- The first way to get skulls is by going to skull rooms, at the end of this rooms will be a pile of bones. Interacting with the pile of bones will give you a skull. There 4 types of pile of bones, each type corresponds to the rarity that it will give. Common / Rare / Unique / Legendary, note that you can gain higher rarity skull from a lower rarity pile of bones. Meaning a rare pile of bones can drop a unique or legendary skull.
- The second way to gain skulls is after hero/mini-boss fights. At the end of the hero/mini-boss fight room you can choose between a skull, a quintessence, or an item.
- The final way to gain skulls is by finding the imprisoned bone doctor, by sacrificing a bit of your HP you gain a random skull. You can only do this once.
Acquiring Bones
To acquire bones all you have to do is scrap skulls that you don’t need. The rarity of the skull will determine the amount of bones you gain.
There is also another way to gain bones, you have to find the imprisoned harpy soldier. All you have to do is free her and talk to her. She will give you 30 bones, always.
Evolving Skulls
To evolve a skull you have to talk to the Arachne Lady, she can be found after exiting a bosses and mini-bosses fight rooms. You need bones to evolve skulls and each time you evolve a skull it will increase bone cost and tier/rarity of the skull itself.
BALANCE SKULLS
Skul
An average skull, can be used up to act 2 at best, after that you’ll need items to boost his survivability and damage. Fighting against the last boss unlocks an achievement regarding this skull. Overall its only used when you can’t get better skulls or you need to unlock its achievement.

Carleon Recruit
A very weak skull and requires a lot of investment to make it usable. Overall, only use this skull to unlock its achievement.

- Tier 1 – Summons an armored soldier. The armored soldier slams the ground with a hammer, dealing Physical damage.
- Tier 2 – Call forth an armored soldier that will attack nearby enemies for 10 seconds, dealing Physical damage.
- Tier 3 – Call forth an armored soldier that will attack nearby enemies for 10 seconds, dealing Physical damage.
- Tier 4 – Call forth multiple armored soldiers that will attack nearby enemies for 10 seconds, dealing Physical damage.
- Tier 1 – Performs a clean charging slash while invulnerable and maintaining perfect form, dealing Physical damage. The charging slash always deals critical damage.
- Tier 2 – Performs a clean charging slash while invulnerable and maintaining perfect form, dealing Physical damage. The charging slash always deals critical damage.
- Tier 3 – Performs a clean charging slash while invulnerable and maintaining perfect form, dealing Physical damage. The charging slash always deals critical damage.
- Tier 4 – Performs a flawless charging slash and shoots out a cutting wave while invulnerable and maintaining perfect form, dealing Physical damage. The charging slash always deals critical damage.
- Tier 1 – Calls forth a Carleon recruit to fight alongside, dealing Physical damage.
- Tier 2 – Calls forth a recruit that will attack nearby enemies for 10 seconds, dealing Physical damage.
- Tier 3 – Calls forth 2 recruits that will attack nearby enemies for 10 seconds, dealing Physical damage.
- Tier 4 – Calls forth multiple recruits that will attack nearby enemies for 10 seconds, dealing Physical damage.
- Tier 1 – Calls forth a Carleon archer that attacks, dealing Physical damage. This skill can gain up to 2 charges
- Tier 2 – Calls forth a Carleon archer that will attack nearby enemies for 10 seconds, dealing Physical damage.
- Tier 3 – Calls forth 2 archers that will attack nearby enemies for 10 seconds, dealing Physical damage.
- Tier 4 – Calls forth multiple archers that will attack nearby enemies for 10 seconds, dealing Physical damage.
Soldier
A good skull with good skills. I got my first win with this skull, if you get “Sawblade Slash” try it and evolve it, it is pretty decent. Overall, if you can get better skulls use them, if not try this skull out.

- Tier 4 – Performs 2 piercing attacks, charges forward, and inflicts wounds, dealing Physical damage. Wounded enemies receive additional Magic damage 4 times after a short time.
- Tier 1 – Inflicts poison on attacked targets for 10 seconds.
- Tier 2 – Inflicts poison on attacked targets and deals 5 additional true damage for 10 seconds.
- Tier 3 – Inflicts poison on attacked targets and deals 5 additional true damage for 15 seconds.
- Tier 4 – Inflicts poison on attacked targets and deals 5 additional Magic damage for 10 seconds.
- Tier 1 – Swings its sword, dealing Magic damage multiple times.
- Tier 2 – Swings its sword and inflicts wound, dealing Magic damage multiple times. Wounded enemies receive additional Magic damage after a short while.
- Tier 3 – Swings its sword and inflicts wound, dealing Magic damage multiple times. Wounded enemies receive additional Magic damage 2 times after a short while.
- Tier 4 – Swings its sword and inflicts wound, dealing Magic damage multiple times. Wounded enemies receive additional Magic damage 8 times after a short while.
Mummy
A weak skull, it is slow and only decent on its 3rd evolution. This skull allows you to skip some areas due to its dodge ability giving you a bit of air allowing you to go above certain areas. Overall, only used it to unlock its achievement or as a temporary skull.

- Tier 2 – Scratches the enemy, dealing Physical damage. Inflicts bleed on affected enemies.
- Tier 3 – This skill can be used when near an enemy. Performs a quick slashing attack with the survival knife, dealing Physical damage and inflicting bleed.
- Tier 4 – This skill can be used when near an enemy. Performs a quick slashing attack with the survival knife, dealing Physical damage and inflicting bleed. Can move while casting the skill.
- Tier 2 – Unleashes a blast of acid breath, dealing Magic damage. Inflicting poison on affected enemies
- Tier 3 – Spews a poisonous cloud from its mouth. The cloud stays for 3 seconds, dealing Magic damage and inflicting poison.
- Tier 4 – Spews a poisonous cloud from its mouth. The cloud stays for 3 seconds, dealing Magic damage. When it disappears, it creates a poisonous explosion, dealing Magic damage and inflicting poison on affected enemies.
- Tier 2 – Throws its head, which explodes upon contact, dealing Magic damage.
- Tier 3 – Throws its head, which explodes upon contact. When the head explodes it sets the ground ablaze, dealing Magic damage.
- Tier 4 – Throws its head, which creates a large explosion upon contact, dealing Magic damage. When the head explodes it sets the ground ablaze, dealing Magic damage.
- Tier 2 – Spits out a mummy ball. The mummy ball rolls on the ground and explodes. dealing Magic damage. and inflicting poison. This skill can gain up to 3 charges
- Tier 3 – Spits out a poisonous ball that tracks down enemies and explodes, dealing Magic damage and inflicting poison. This skill can gain up to 3 charges.
- Tier 4 – Spit out a mummy ball. The mummy ball rolls on the ground and explodes, dealing Magic damage. When the mummy ball explodes, a homing poisonous bug appears and explodes, dealing Magic damage. Inflicts poison on affected enemies. This skill can gain up to 3 charges.
Frost Skull
A weak skull due its short range attack and weak skills even on its 4th evolution. Overall, it is used as a temporary skull or to unlock its achievement.

- Tier 2 – Creates a frozen field, dealing Magic damage. Inflicts freeze on affected enemies.
- Tier 3 – Charges forward and creates a field of ice, dealing Magic damage and inflicting freeze. Enemies within the magic field receive continous Magic damage and are slowed.
- Tier 4 – Charges forward dealing Magic damage and inflicting freeze. A wide field of ice is then formed that deals continous Magic damage and slow enemies on it.
- Tier 2 – Flings 3 glacier fragments that deal Magic damage. Inflicts freeze on affected enemies. This skill can gain up to 3 charges.
- Tier 3 – Flings 3 glacier fragments that create a cold explosion upon contact, dealing Magic damage. Inflicts freeze on affected enemies. This skill can gain up to 3 charges.
- Tier 4 – Flings 3 glacier fragments that create a cold explosion upon contact, dealing Magic damage. Holding down the button initiates concentration, and when fully completed shoots out piercing glacier fragment, dealing Magic damage. Inflicts freeze on affected enemies. This skill can gain up to 3 charges.
- Tier 2 – Deals Magic damage to surrounding enemies and wraps itself in ice, becoming invulnerable and immobile for 2 seconds. Inflicts freeze on affected enemies.
- Tier 3 – Deals Magic damage to surrounding enemies and wraps itself in ice, becoming invulnerable and immobile for 2 seconds. After hibernation, creates a cold explosion, dealing Magic damage. Inflicts freeze on affected enemies.
- Tier 4 – Deals Magic damage to surrounding enemies and wraps itself in ice, becoming invulnerable and immobile for 2 seconds. Deals Magic damage to enemies that come in contact. After hibernation, creates a cold explosion, dealing Magic damage. Inflicts freeze on affected enemies.
- Tier 2 – Creates an iceberg, dealing Magic damage. Inflicts freeze on affected enemies.
- Tier 3 – Creates an iceberg, dealing Magic damage to enemies that come in contact with it. When the iceberg disappears, creates a cold explosion, dealing Magic damage. Inflicts freeze on affected enemies.
- Tier 4 – Creates a huge iceberg, dealing Magic damage to enemies that come in contact with it. when it disappears, it triggers a cold explosion that deals Magic damage. Inflicts freeze on affected enemies.
Gargoyle
A very weak skull with weak skills your better of using “Skul”. Overall, only use it to unlock its achievement.

- Tier 2 – Slams the ground in the form of an invulnerable statue, dealing Physical damage. Statue form can be maintained for 2 more seconds after landing.
- Tier 3 – Slams the ground in the form of an invulnerable statue, dealing Physical damage. Statue form can be maintained for 2 more seconds after landing. Upon deactivating statue form, deals Magic damage to surrounding enemies.
- Tier 4 – Maintains altitude for up to 2 seconds in the form of an invulnerable statue. Upon deactivating statue form, deals Magic damage to surrounding enemies and inflicts slow.
- Tier 2 – Performs a stomp attack with its base Physical damage, then flies upward.
- Tier 3 – A stomp attack with its base Physical damage, then flies upward.
- Tier 4 – Drops a giant statue, dealing Physical damage. This skill can gain up to 3 charges.
- Tier 2 – Shoots out a beam from the gargoyle’s eyes, dealing Magic damage. The beam lasts longer when the skill button is held.
- Tier 3 – Shoots out a beam from the gargoyle’s eyes, dealing Magic damage. The beam lasts longer when the skill button is held.
- Tier 4 – Shoots out a beam from the gargoyle’s eyes, dealing Magic damage and inflicting slow. The beam lasts longer when the skill button is held. Maintains altitude while shooting the beam.
- Tier 2 – Creates a tornado that glides across the ground, dealing Magic damage.
- Tier 3 – Creates a gust of wind that carries enemies away, dealing Magic damage.
- Tier 4 – Creates a huge gust of wind that carries enemies away, dealing Magic damage.
Alchemist
A powerful skull even on its default evolution. Its normal attacks track enemies, Its passive is very strong, and once you are able to evolve it, you gain the “Unstable Summoning” skill, which allows you to kill bosses extremely fast. Has a chance to be obtained at the start of the game once you get the wolf leader to join you. Overall, use it and evolve it as fast as you can.

- Tier 2 – Throws a flask that explodes upon contact, dealing Magic damage. Inflicts burn upon attacking enemies. This skill can gain up to 5 charges.
- Tier 3 – Throws a flask that explodes upon contact, dealing Magic damage. Inflicts burn upon attacking enemies. This skill can gain up to 4 charges.
- Tier 4 – Throws a flask that explodes upon contact. When the flash explodes, it creates additional embers nearby, dealing Magic damage and inflicting burn. This skill can gain up to 3 charges.
- Tier 3 – This skill can only be used when the gauge is charged more than 50%. When the skill is cast, it consumes all gauge and summons Dark Quarts golem dealing Magic damage, and the gauge doesn’t charge for 20 seconds.
- Tier 4 – This skill can only be used when the gauge is charged more than 50%. When the skill is cast, it consumes all gauge and summons a Perfect Dark Quarts golem dealing Magic damage, and the gauge doesn’t charge for 20 seconds.
- Tier 2 – Throws a flask that explodes upon contact, dealing Magic damage. This skill can gain up to 8 charges.
- Tier 3 – Throws a flask that explodes upon contact, dealing Magic damage. This skill can gain up to 5 charges.
- Tier 4 – Throws a flask that explodes upon contact. When the flask explodes, it creates additional explosions nearby, dealing Magic damage. This skill can gain up to 4 charges.
- Tier 2 – Throws a flask that explodes upon contact, dealing Magic damage. Inflicts freeze upon attacking enemies this skill can gain up to 4 charges.
- Tier 3 – Throws a flask that explodes upon contact. When the flask explodes, dealing Magic damage. Inflicts freeze upon attack enemies. This skill can gain up to 3 charges.
- Tier 4 – Throws a flask that explodes upon contact. When the flask explodes, it creates a frozen pillar, dealing Magic damage and inflicting freeze. This skill can gain up to 2 charges.
- Tier 2 – Throws a flask that explodes upon contact, dealing Magic damage. Inflicts poison upon attacking enemies. This skill can gain up to 6 charges.
- Tier 3 – Throws a flask that explodes upon contact, dealing Magic damage. Inflicts poison upon attacking enemies. This skill can gain up to 4 charges.
- Tier 4 – Throws a flask that explodes upon contact. When the flask explodes, it creates a fog of poison, dealing Magic damage and inflicting poison. This skill can gain up to 3 charges.
Great Warlock
A powerful skull, it has a skill than can wipe out entire areas. This skull can be used to clear out areas without even engaging the enemy allowing you to proceed areas without taking damage. Overall, use it when you can get it.

- Tier 3 – Summons a magical orb that slowly advances forward, dealing Magic damage. Based on the time spent concentrating, the size and damage of the orb increases. When concentrating is fully completed, the orb explodes as it disappears, dealing Magic damage.
- Tier 4 – Summons a magical orb that slowly advances forward, dealing Magic damage. Based on the time spent concentrating, the size and damage of the orb increases. While concentrating, shoots out a wave, dealing Magic damage to enemies nearby. When concentrating is fully completed, the orb explodes as it disappears, dealing Magic damage
- Tier 3 – Summons a meteor to fall nearby, dealing Magic damage. Based on the time spent concentrating, the number of meteors summoned increases. When concentrating is fully completed, summon one gigantic meteor that deals Magic damage.
- Tier 4 – Summons a meteor to fall nearby, dealing Magic damage. Based on the time spent concentrating, the number of meteors summoned increases. When concentrating is fully completed, summon one gigantic meteor that deals Magic damage.
- Tier 3 – Fires a beam that deals Magic damage. Based on the time spent concentrating, the size and damage of the beam increases. When concentrating is fully completed, the beam creates explosions in its trajectory, dealing Magic damage.
- Tier 4 – Fires a beam, dealing Magic damage. Based on the time spent concentrating, the size and damage of the beam increases. While concentrating, shoots out a beam at random enemies, dealing Magic damage. When concentration is fully completed, the beam creates explosions in its trajectory, dealing Magic damage.
- Tier 3 – Summons a spike from the abyss that deals Magic damage. based on the time spent concentrating, the number of spikes summoned increases. When concentrating is fully completed, the spikes are engulfed in flames and deal Magic damage.
- Tier 4 – Summons a spike from the abyss that deals Magic damage. based on the time spent concentrating, the number of spikes summoned increases. When concentrating is fully completed, the spikes that strike the ground are engulfed in flames, dealing Magic damage.
Dark Paladin
A good skull with good skills. The skills of this skull stop you in place, and because it is a close range skull you are likely to get hit luckily you have a passive ability that gives you a shield but requires you to be aggressive. Overall, only use it as a temporary skull or a no other choice skull, and to unlock its achievement.

- Tier 3 – Performs a crosh slash attack and creates an explosion, dealing Magic damage. For each enemy affected by the explosion amplifies Magic attack by 2% for 10 seconds(Max 20% amplification).
- Tier 4 – Forms a magic field that pulls enemies in, then performs a cross slash attack and creates an explosion, dealing Magic damage. For each enemy affected by the explosion, amplifies Magic attack by 2% for 10 seconds(Max 20% amplification).
- Tier 3 – Sends out a powerful wave, dealing Magic damage.
- Tier 4 – Shoots out a large cutting wave, dealing Magic damage. Holding down the button initiates concentration, and when fully completed increase size and damage of cutting wave.
- Tier 3 – Performs multiple slash attacks, dealing Magic damage.
- Tier 4 – Performs multiple slash attacks, dealing Magic damage. During the attack, a magic field slowly takes shape and pulls enemies in. Charges forward after the slash attack, dealing Magic damage.
- Tier 3 – Charges forward and performs an upward slash, dealing Magic damage.
- Tier 4 – Charges forward and performs a rising slash attack, dealing Magic damage. Shoots out a cutting wave during the rising slash attack, dealing Magic damage.
Archlich
Another powerful skull that can nuke areas in a safe distance. Always get this skull if you get the “Deathtrap” skill. “Deathtrap” can one shot all enemies other than bosses. Overall, grab it if “Deathtrap” is guaranteed, if it doesn’t have that it is your choice if you want to use it or not.

Grim Reaper
An extremely powerful skull, grab this skull always especially if it has “Harvest” skill or “Death by Fire” skill. This skull can wipe entire areas at a safe distance, it has a very powerful passive skill that can also clear areas. Overall, grab this skull when it is available.

Gambler
A good skull at best due to its randomize and unreliable skills. The only legendary skull that is close to the bottom of the barrel. Overall, only use it as a temporary skull or a no other choice skull, and to unlock its achievement.

SPEED SKULLS
Petty Thief
A good skull to use and evolve. This skull allows you to gain a lot of gold due to its passive and a few of its skill, allowing you buy more gear or to restock/reroll the shop often. Overall, use it when you want fast item builds, other than that you are better of getting better skulls.

- Tier 1 – Swings its dagger while invulnerable, dealing Physical damage. Gains 2 Gold from affected enemies.
- Tier 2 – Swings its dagger while invulnerable, dealing Physical damage. Gains 3 Gold from affected enemies.
- Tier 3 – Swings its dagger while invulnerable, dealing Physical damage. Gains 3 Gold from affected enemies. When attacking an affected enemy within 5 seconds, gains 1 Gold.
- Tier 4 – Slashes its dagger while invulnerable, dealing Physical damage. Gains 3 Gold from affected enemies. There is a 1% chance to gain 100 Gold instead. When attacking affected enemy within 5 seconds, gain 1 Gold.
- Tier 1 – Throws 3 gold pieces that can pierce up to 3 enemies, dealing Magic damage. Requires 3 Gold to cast
- Tier 2 – Throws 5 gold pieces that explode on contact, dealing Magic damage. Requires 5 Gold to cast
- Tier 3 – Throws 5 gold pieces that create large explosions, dealing Magic damage. Requires 5 Gold to cast
- Tier 4 – Throws 10 gold pieces that create large explosions, dealing Magic damage. Requires 10 Gold to cast
- Tier 1 – Swings its dagger while invulnerable, dealing Physical damage. Gains 2 Gold from affected enemies.
- Tier 2 – Teleports behind the closest enemy and swings its dagger, dealing Physical damage. Gains 3 Gold from affected enemies.
- Tier 3 – Teleports behind the closest enemy and slashes its dagger, dealing Physical damage and inflicting stun. Gains 3 Gold from affected enemies.
- Tier 4 – Teleports behind the closest enemy and slashes its dagger, dealing Physical damage and inflicting stun. Gains 3 Gold from affected enemies. This skill always deal critical damage.
- Tier 1 – Throws a smoke grenade, dealing Magic damage, and rolls backward while invulnerable to evade enemy attacks. This skill can gain up to 3 charges.
- Tier 2 – Throws caltrops, dealing Physical damage, and rolls backward while invulnerable, evading enemy attacks. Enemies that step on the caltrops are temporarily slowed, and receive Physical damage. This skill can gain up to 3 charges.
- Tier 3 – Throws a smoke grenade, continuously dealing Magic damage, and rolls backward while invulnerable state, evading enemy attacks. This skill can gain up to 3 charges.
- Tier 4 – Throws a smoke grenade, continuously dealing Magic damage, and rolls backward while invulnerable, evading enemy attacks. When within the smoke, all enemy attacks are evaded.
Skeleton-Pike
A good skull, it gives you a lot of mobility and its attack animation is fast. Its skills are all average. Overall, only use it if you want to and to unlock its achievement.

- Tier 1 – Charges forward, dealing Physical damage
- Tier 2 – Charges forward, dealing Physical damage
- Tier 3 – Charges forward, dealing Physical damage. This attack is considered a dash attack.
- Tier 4 – Charges forward, dealing Physical damage. Deals additional Physical damage to enemies in its path. This attack is considered a dash attack.
- Tier 1 – Increases dash attack damage by 100% and dash distance by 30% for 10 seconds
- Tier 2 – Increases dash attack damage by 120% and dash distance by 40% for 10 seconds
- Tier 3- Increases dash attack damage by 140% and dash distance by 50% for 10 seconds
- Tier 4 – Increases dash attack damage by 160% and dash distance by 60% for 10 seconds
- Tier 1 – Blocks the next incoming attack and charges, dealing Physical damage.
- Tier 2 – Blocks the next incoming attack and charges forward, dealing Physical damage. When the counterattack is successful, increases dash distance by 50% for 8 seconds.
- Tier 3 – Blocks the next incoming attack and charges forward, dealing Physical damage. this attack is considered a dash attack. When counterattack is successful, increases dash distance by 50% for 8 seconds.
- Tier 4 – Blocks the next incoming attack and charges forward, dealing Physical damage. this attack is considered a dash attack. When counterattack is successful, increases dash distance by 50% for 8 seconds and greatly reduce dash cooldown for 2 seconds.
- Tier 1 – Greatly reduces dash cooldown for 8 seconds. While the effects lasts, loses invulnerability when dashing.
- Tier 2 – Greatly reduces dash cooldown and increases dash distance by 20% for 8 seconds. While the effects last, loses invulnerability when dashing.
- Tier 3 – Greatly reduces dash cooldown and increases dash distance by 20% for 12 seconds. While the effects last, loses invulnerability when dashing.
- Tier 4 – Greatly reduces dash cooldown and increases dash distance by 20% for 12 seconds, and deals Physical damage to nearby enemies when dashing. While the effects last, loses invulnerability when dashing.
Clown
