- Now go to the Contract work screen
- First change the design team to None
- Mark all the contracts (click the top one, press shift and click the one on the bottum)
- Accept work for all contracts
- Click on Develop on every contract
- The moment the development reaches the threshold | Click the Promote button
- Then the Finish button
- Rinse and repeat step 1-7 while in design phase of your first game
Furniture
It depends on where you started, my guide goes well for the garage start.
- The moment you start the game, pause and save the game
- Go into build phase and place 2 more workplaces
- Bookshelves
- Clock
- Picture
- Table with 4 chairs
- A plant in one corner
- A couple of lights
- Water cooler
- Lease the adjacent room
- Place in a table and a server on top
- Vending machine for your future employees
Designing your first software
- Start up the development of your game,
- RPG game with a focus on story
- Choose the SCM to your server
- Go to the feature page(4/5), and add in a couple of features you think is going to be good.
- Try to reach at least 100% user interest
- Choose a 2D and Audio Editor
- Choose the operating systems you want it to run on, choose the ones which just got released and which have a the most active users.
- Make a deal with the publisher for marketing purposes. Pretty important since you don’t want to hire a good marketing team. Page 5/5
- Press the develop button, after looking at every page to see if you missed something.
During the design phase
- Hire 2 system designers with high skill with at least 4 stars
- Try to get the employees with a compatibility of good or better
- One with 3 stars in system and 1 star in 2D
- And the other with 3 stars in system and 1 in audio.
- Remove all the roles apart from design from your two designers
- Add the leader role to your MC
- Continue doing the contracts while the 2 designers work on the game.
- Continue on with it, until you finish designing your game, 4th iteration to the end.
- Fire the two designers
Development phase
- Hire 2 Programmers, one with 3 stars in system and 1/2 stars in 2D, and the other with 3 stars in system and 1/2 stars in audio. Don’t forget to reassign their roles, to only programming and service.
- After this moment, you can only do Game Asset contracts, try to only do the ones, which can be finished in 2 days.
- At about 80% of art done for the game, do a review of only the art part. If the review is lower than 8/10. Iterate. It then starts a small designing phase where they only look at the art. Gonna take a couple of hours at most.
- The same can be done on the programming code. If the code is below 8/10, iterate. Iterating will reduce the overall coding done, so you gonna code them again.
- Only after reaching about 9/10 in an review, choose a release date and start marketing campaigns and press builds.
- Promote and debug for a month or two, depending on when your release date is.
- The moment you release, you need to order copies, order at least 20000 copies. If you don’t have enough money, take out a loan.
- Make a port of your software, directly after releasing it, since there will be a couple of OS which got released while you worked on the game.
- Hire a service employee with 3 stars in support. And change his role to be a support and secondary to programmer. He will take calls and create tickets.
- It depends on the game, but you will probably already have a good sum of money. Wait till the next OS is getting released and start a sequel.
