Solution Camera Shy achievement don’t pop up in 2021

Overview

Hi guys, this is my first guide so i hope it will be helpful, i can not have this achievement without the help of Calmly Frenetic, thank you a lotOriginally posted by Calmly Frenetic: pause the game to see the main menu, click Achievements, then scroll the list down to Camera Shy. Note that this count is only shown on the IN-GAME achievement list, NOT on the Steam achievement list. For those who try to get this achievement in 2021 there is some bugs interrupt you, so try to stick to these things

Solution

1- Delete all your save files, there is the location:
C:Program Files (x86)SteamsteamappscommonPortalportalsave
2- Start a new game
3- Don’t Save, don’t die and don’t load, you have to do it in one run
4- The count will not pop up at 11/33 and 22/33, it will pop up when you finish all the 33 cameras

5- The only way to know how much cameras you destroyed is to see in the IN-GAME Achievements, not in Steam Overlay
The IN-GAME Achievements:

6- Activate your Steam Overlay

7- The most importante rule is to see if the achievement count your broken camera by opening your IN-GAME Achievements and see if it count the last broken camera or not, because somehow it stop the count, i tried to find out the issue, so yeh this achievement is buged and we can avoid this bugs like i did, i got this achievement and i caught it on a video, i have bad connection so for now i will put photos and sorry for my bad english, to avoid the bug of counting your broken cameras please continue reading

8- Don’t broke the camera when (she / it) talks
9- Don’t show your IN-GAME achievements when (she / it) talks
10- Don’t miss the shot to broke the camera, don’t hit the camera, shot the wall
11- Always make sure one portal exists before breaking the camera


12- Don’t play speedrun, solve your puzzles as if you were a beginner
13- Don’t try to get other achievements when you are focus on this one
14- Don’t jump off to chambre 10 to avoid the 4 chambers without cameras, as well for chamber 12 and 14

that’s it, if i missed a rule i will add it and feel free to ask, for me now i will beat Portal 2 than Portal Reloaded xD
