Overview
Walkthrough and guidance for obtaining 100% achievements!
Introduction
Sorry, James is an innovative hacking game featuring ten Steam achievements. You are James Garner and your job is to decrypt a total of fifty conversations.
This guide will direct you through all levels and show you how to get all achievements. Therefore, it contains major spoilers which are (mostly) not marked. If you enjoy playing puzzle games and solving riddles – try to complete the game on your own first because it can be very rewarding. In case you have already played “The Witness” or if you are experienced in logic-based puzzles like Sudokus and Nonograms the game won’t be too difficult for you.

Tutorial
The game concentrates on learning by doing. For this reason there is neither a tutorial implemented nor the option to receive hints. As soon as you understand one component and it’s functions it is pretty straightforward. This small tutorial will give you an overview and gets you started for the complex boards.
Your goal is to create a specific amount of certain tiles next to a predefined cell. There are two “colors” and four different components.
In this example you have to put ‘5’ white tiles (left mouse button on empty cell) next to the number. You can go to the north, east, south and west as far as you can. If you have marked a cell as white it can be used by more than one number tile and you can undo your choice by clicking on it again.
They are similar to “White Tiles” but you have to press the right mouse button. White and transparent tiles are not (initially) crossable by each other.
You can rotate them by pressing the small circle in the tile’s upper right corner. Depending on its alignment it can expand and pass or block a line.
Their color is already given and cannot be changed. They are either white or transparent. You do not essentially have to use them.
This component gives you the opportunity to change directions. It counts as a tile and can split an incoming straight line. In the picture the red cells are counting for the transparent ‘6’ and the green ones for the ‘7’.
These components are bridges that can be used for connecting two separated parts or crossing different colors. You can connect them in series – unlimited (theoretically). In the picture the green marked cells are counting for the white ’11’ and the red ones for the transparent ‘4’.

To complete the game you have to unlock all five folders. The initial code for the first folder is given to you by Mariia via chat. The codes for the other ones unlock by decrypting the files and are saved inside the log file:

Full access

If you want to solve it on your own you will need to play the demo (select “Demo” in the starting window). After completing the it the game will crash. Restart and you will see the password.
Notes: If you play the demo and don’t receive any chat messages after five seconds in game – delete the corresponding registry entries and restart the demo. If you cannot read the password properly it is a visual bug. In my case the password was unreadable because the characters were behind a red bar and looked calligraphic. Do not try to interpret it – the correct presentation is almost unambiguous.
Further hints if you try to solve it on your own:
Login:
- Kevin told you that Mariia uses an anagram of her name. Something like riama or ramia.
- Mariia is written with a double ‘i’. Modify the anagram.
- Just like your login Mariia’s is written in capital letters.
Password: The penultimate character is a zero.
Solution:
Login: RAMIIA
