Iridion 3D Guide

Special Passwords for Iridion 3D

Special Passwords

Overview

Passwords for extra lives, level select, art gallery, and more.

Overview

Iridion 3D is a tough game, but luckily, the developers created some special passwords that can make the game a bit easier, as well as unlock some new features.
Below are a list of these passwords (credit to the Shin’en Wiki[shinen.fandom.com]), as well as some other handy passwords.

The good stuff

To use these passwords, simply select “PASSWORD” from the main menu and input these codes to receive the corresponding effect. Note that (with one exception) only one password may be used at a time.

Password
Effect
*G4LL3RY*
Allows the player to view the Iridion 3D art gallery.
*SH0WT1M3*
Allows the player to start at any level or boss. Though the level select submenu appears within the Options menu when used, it is not persistent and the password must be entered each time the player wishes to select a level.
*PNKRLZ*
Starts the game with the level 3 Gold Orb weapon.
*CR3D1TS*
Allows the player to listen to the ending / credits music in the Options menu.
*1NV1S4BL3*
Starts the game with 13 lives, the level 1 Green Orb weapon, and reversed up/down controls.
*S3L3CT0N*
Not sure what this one does, actually. Using it returns you to the main menu. It’s often recommended to use it before the *SH0WT1M3* password, but this isn’t actually necessary to access the level select. If you figure out anything special about this password, please let me know!

Other stuff

Since there are currently no other guides for this game on Steam, I thought I’d throw in these quick tips because they are not evident within the game itself.

Press Esc to access the emulation menu, which will allow you to hard reset or close the game, set resolution settings, image display settings, change key/button bindings and access save states.
You can also use some standard Windows hotkeys: Alt+Enter for fullscreen toggle and Alt+F4 to close.

To reset the game quickly (soft reset), press and hold the SELECT button, then press the START button.
