Speedrunning Snail Trek Ch1 (All points 100%)
Start your timer at the same time that you click on “NEW GAME” on the main menu. Wait for the intro to finish (this will add 40 seconds to your time) Immediately go down to Zoomer’s Pod and type OPEN. Move up and to the left around the pod until you reach the floor panel. type MOVE then go next to the supply closet. Before you open the closet you will have to wait for Zoomer to finish his dialogue (otherwise the game will glitch and you will not be able to move). Once Zoomer returns to his original position, type OPEN. Type GET. Type GET again. Move to Shelley’s pod and type OPEN. Move to the right of the screen, next to the lettuce-o-matic. Before you open the machine, you must wait for Shelley to finish talking, otherwise the game will glitch again. Once Shelley returns to her original position, type OPEN. Go through the dialogue and then type GET. Once you have the watering can, turn to face Shelley(by very lightly tapping the left arrow) and type ASK SHELLEY ABOUT ZOOMER. Then head left to Zoomer and type ASK ZOOMER ABOUT SHELLEY. Move further left until you are nearly on top of the floor panel and type ENTER. Then, move as far right as possible and type PUT CAN. Exit the tunnel and move to the remaining pod. Type BREAK WITH WRENCH. There is a cutscene with a lot of talking here so it is a good idea to spam the enter key. Once the tentacle comes out, type GET, then type CLEAN. After the butter is cleaned, go back into the maintenance shaft by typing ENTER. then move all the way to the right and type GET. Exit the hole and go to the engine. Type PUT BUTTER IN. Tap very lightly left and type ENTER to go into the airlock. Move all the way to the left and type USE TENTACLE. Then type PRESS. Once you are in space, align yourself along the Y-level of the landing gear, but go past it one screen farther into space. Immediately turn around and go the other way. Type FIX as you go past the broken landing gear, then go into the ship. Type PRESS to close the airlock. Exit the airlock and head straight for the computer. Type USE and then press 211 as fast as you can. Now just spam enter to skip all of the discussion and end the timer at the same time as the text that says “TO BE CONTINUED IN CHAPTER 2 …” appears. Congratulations! If you do these steps fast enough, you should be able to speedrun the game in under 6 minutes.
