This mod list includes list of recommended fixes and adjustments for Skyrim. It is a work in process, seeing that several bug fixing mods require SKSE64, which has not yet been released. I will update the list, when new fixes come out and get properly tested by forum regulars.
- Recommended fixes include list of fixes that are considered as bug fixes, or fixing something that is clearly an oversight in Bethesda’s design.
- Recommended adjustments are mods that do not actually fix Bethesda’s oversights, but fix commonly unwanted behaviour from the game.
- Consistency mods do not qualify either one of above. They are overhauling Bethesda’s original work, or adding in to it.
USSEP is the main bug fixing mod for Skyrim Special Edition. Forum regulars helping you out expect that you have this. USSEP fixes a horde of problems, starting from quest fixes and ending in to vanilla save bloat. Furthermore, several other mods are using USSEP as a master. It is very strongly recommended that you install the patch.

- Better Dialogue Controls by ecirbaf
Skyrim Dialogue boxes can be troublesome. Sometimes you click something that did not intend to, just because selection area is moving. Better Dialogue Controls is a recommended mod for your own sanity.

[link] - Modern Brawl Bug Fix by Enai Siaion
Skyrim has a vanilla bug, where opponent of a friendly brawl becomes hostile. This is due to invisible cloak effect hitting the brawling character. They will consider being under a magical attack and brawl progresses to real combat. Effect is especially troublesome with mods using invisible cloak effects, so let this mod win all conflicts in your game.

Mods were disabled from modded versions of Skyrim SE, because XBOX One users gain benefits from achievement progress in the game. This does not apply to PC players, but company policies caused game to get shipped to PC version with same restriction. This mod enables achievements for modded PC versions of the game.

This mod can be used to limit the usage of black soul gems and Black Star to black souls only. It can also be use to limit other souls gems for souls of their size. No more petty skeever souls in your black soul gems.

Fast travel time is quite off, compared of travelling on foot or riding. Fast Travel Speed Fix aims to balance this, by resetting fast travel variable more closely to what the journey would take otherwise. Time is based on running or riding.

Have you ever noticed that no one visits your HF home second floors, unless going for their beds for the night? Several buildings have floors just for show and not for use. This happens because vanilla sandboxing system does not detect usable items from above or below, unless these are especially marked for them. The mod allows characters to sandbox more freely between multiply floors, making homes and inns to feel more alive.

Dragon and vampire attacks to cities can be fatal to non-combat citizens. They run to help, with their iron daggers and lacking skills. Runf For your Lives sends them to run in to safety from fighting, allowing Dovahkiin, guards and combat characters to take on attackers instead.

You can use this mod to gain better control over ingame killmoves. It also allows you to disable buggy killmoves targeted to player, preventing incorrect massive damage calculation from enemies – like dragons – to kill character that would have otherwise survived from them. Mod also allows you to toggle melee, ranged and magic killmoves on or off, if you find them troublesome at some points of the game.

Grants proper burial locations for characters that didn’t have one in vanilla game. This includes NPCs being moved to Hall of the Dead in cities and peoples buried in graves in rural areas.

Bethesda left a lot of thing unfinished. Good portion of it was almost ready, but apparently cut from haste to keep with the original release date. This has caused consistency errors in the story. For example, PC could not try diplomatic approach in certain quest, because Thalmor Headquarters was never included to Solitude. Arthmoor has been overhauling the data and adding missing parts back to the game, including proper quest fixes for missing locations.

Click “Sort Plugins” button. It appears as a 3 lines in top right corner of LOOT window. This will now sort your load order.
After LOOT is done, the “Sort Plugins” changes to text button saying “APPLY”. Click the button to accept changes made to your load order.
TES5Edit / SSEEDIT
xedit-3.2.84 Experimental
SSEEdit is an advanced graphical esp viewer and conflict detector. When started it will automatically find your Skyrim Data folder. You then get a dialog to select which masters/plugins you want to load with the current selection from your plugins.txt as default value. Once you have confirmed that dialog the selected plugins will start loading.
