Planet Generation
- OS is a deciding factor when it comes to planet generation
- If you are playing single player and have a Windows OS, you will see a different planet than if you were using Mac or Linux OS
- If you are playing multi-player planet generation depends on the OS of the server not your OS
- So if you are playing on a server that runs Windows you will see a different planet than if you were playing on a server that runs Mac or Linux OS
- Planet Generation Tips
Chest Randomization
- There seems to be 2 different types of chests: surface chests & instanced/building chests
- Chests that you see on the surface of a planet are static and anyone else can find those chests with the same loot inside. This also goes for chests that spawn underground because they spawn with the planet
- Chests that you find in buildings and instances are random so you might not see the same items as someone else who got the same chest. This goes for chests inside villages, dungeons & the small buildings you come across while searching a planet
