This method is doable on Windows, Linux, and Mac OSX.This version should reduce the amount of issues some people were having with the previous video where I uploaded my old client files. This method will ensure to get every file of the old client that Steam uses.Steam package folder location:Windows: C:Program Files (x86)SteampackageLinux: if someone can let me know that’d be greatMac OSX: Steam/package folder is at: /Users/username/Library/Application Support/Steam/Steam.AppBundle/Steam/Contents/MacOS/packageText tutorial:1. Exit steam, make sure no processes running2. Delete anything in Steampackage folder3. Extract Steam Old Client Packages .zip to Steampackage4. Copy steam_client_win32 and steam_client_win32.manifest to Steampackage5. Set the steam_client_win32 and steam_client_win33.manifest to read only.6. Delete steam.cfg (if present) from Steam folder.7. Launch steam, let it install update.8. Steam will say that the update failed.9. Launch Steam and now the old UI should appear.10.
